I've been married to a Filipina for 34 years. I Love her to death, but I know that when she mentions family, she means her Filipino family - Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc; not my sons or myself. I have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into land and houses in Philippines, mostly to support her Mom and Dad, which of course I can't own, but I have also supported so many "relatives" there and still do. I get no credit and have learned not to expect any. I love my wife, but at my old age have realized I have been suckered and taken advantage of. Call me stupid and a sucker; I'm both.

"Throwing of their garbage"? That was an interesting one. I think it's important to be careful with generalizations because you just can't paint everyone with the same brush. Even the term 'foreigners' in the context of this conversation is talking about anyone from any country outside of the Philippines. They're all very different. That's my two cents but keep up the great work!

Hi Rubeauti. Good topic and I always like to hear Filipino reaction to foreigners. One said they are not responsible with their trash and I have seen many Filipino's just drop their trash on the ground when walking. When I am there I always look for trash cans and sometimes they are hard to find. When I can't find a trash can I just take it with me and toss it out when I get back to my hotel room. I always shower every day and in hot weather at least 2 times a day cause I hate feeling hot and sticky. I have chatted to many Filipina's that just disappear. One thing I never do is make promises unless I know I can keep the promise. I never ask for pics of any kind. I am hoping to be there soon to do some exploring and find a place to live. It is a beautiful country and for the most part the people there are very friendly. I know I will have some frustrations but nothing I can do about it just have to be patient. Keep smiling and stay safe

Interesting Vlog. I was just in the Philippines 3 weeks ago meeting with friends in Tacloban. As a tall Moreno man with green eyes I really enjoy a great deal of attention there, but I have learned to filter through it. While I was there I traveled to Cebu, Ormoc, Manila and Tacloban.I tried many types of food and tried to learn a few words in Tagalog, Visayan and Waray Waray. I was fortunate to meet a very nice woman in Tacloban and we spent lots of time together learning about each other's culture. I will be back in December.

I personally caution lumping all foreigners into one category of traits. There are so many different distinctions for each nation. However, I am understanding when someone encounters a foreign that instantly become a representative for most foreigners. For myself having visited the Philippines a few times my encounters have been very different than the typical tourist. For me, my energy is more like you have just met a family member. Many Filipinos welcome me into their circles very quickly and the reciprocal energy is very loving. Maybe because I shower 2-3 times days. Lol.
I do see what they see, through the eye of my brother and sisters of the Philippines. There are elements of tourism that have positive and negative impacts. I do my best to generate positive influences and because of that I have rare enriching experiences and connections in the Philippines.
    Nice topic. Salamat Po.

So it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to categorise the world's population into Filipinos and Foreigners when there is so much variety among the latter category.

Thank you for another factual video about what some Filipinos have experienced. It seems that as there are Filipino scammers there are also foreign scammers. Unfortunately in western society many women send n@ked photos freely and this has resulted in requests to Filipinas as well which I consider disrespectful. In terms of hygiene and lack of showers it seemed to be eastern countries that were being discussed - I am from Australia and my hygiene, daily showers and not smelling of perspiration are important to me and all of the people (male and female) that I know. Catfishing shows a lack of honesty and character and I do not blame anyone (myself included) who cuts contact once catfishing is discovered. We've already lifted them out of poverty and provided them with their first lot/home, personal items intended to promote dignity and individuality, even planned on providing them with future business opportunities. What we've gotten in return is to be defrauded, jealous attitude,
and secretly conspired against. Most filipinos that I've encountered are either jealous / envious, feel entitled, rude and don't have common sense. We will try and distance ourselves from her family once she at least acquires her dual citizenship so as to prevent them from squatting in the home. We're considering El Nito, Palawan. Any advice?

Why do so many Filipinos use the term "Foreigner"? I don't know of anyone here in the United States who says the word "Foreigner" when they are talking about someone from another country. We would just say what country they are from. For example, if I was dating a woman from Spain, I would say that I was dating a woman from Spain. I would never say I was dating a Foreigner.

Honestly and loyalty is for me the most important thing in any relationship because you can build on that with an increasingly trust towards each other. So even misleading profile pictures or info is instantly a no go for me. And the Filipina I talk to should expect the same from me in return.
I’m eager to know how often or easily Filipina date a foreigner, saying they are serious and committed but in fact acting like the foreigner is an possible partner in the future. To become serious only after they met the foreigner in person but until then, date more man at the same time. How common is that?
My intuition tells me the Filipina I talk to, to build a future with, doesn’t take it as serious as I would expect …. Such intuition isn’t helpful at all to commit and trust that I invest my time wisely….

To all the lovely ladies of the Philippine; Fear not ladies, there are men in this world, and in the west that are sincere. Courting a woman in the Philippines does have it challenges. It can get expensive with plane tickets, visa fees, etc, and then there is that long lonely wait. A lot of men are under the impression that marrying a beautiful Filipina is just a matter of a plane ticket, and a marriage license. That they just show up, marry, and leave together. They come into these situations unprepared, then they realize they are over their heads, and then abandon ship (or ghost their poor little angel.). But there are men who know, and accept what they are getting into, and these men are sincerely marriage minded, and yes, it does happen everyday. My advice is if you meet a man, and you decide to become a couple, ask the right questions. Ask him if he is financially, and emotionally prepared for this type of relationship. If he realizes, and accepts the long wait, and the costs. It's not for everyone, but if a heart is sincere, and truly feels love, he will make it happen. Just try to gauge how much of it is for (his) entertainment, and how much of this is real. Good luck to all of the marriage minded lovely lovey's in the Phils. :).

The problem i see here is describing foreigners like they are all the same, to many diferent cultures. Another thing is the woman who said the foreigners don't know how to seperate the trash, well ... it's true for some foreigners ( and cultures ) but the rivers in filipinas are full of trash, some parts of cebu city smells like dead and thats not because of foreigners.

I agree, the term "foreigner " can mean a non-Filipino from anywhere on the globe. The issue of bathing came up when the young lady mentioned her boyfriend was from Morrocco and another Filipino mentioned Dubai. Dubai is located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)...it's in the arid desert region of the middle east - water is very expensive. Morrocco is also in a dry area of northwest Africa, with the southern region of the country located in the Sahara Desert.

This is true for any Muslim Country, African country and mostly Pakistan and India. Most want nudity or to scam. With Western men always ask for their original profile to verify everything. A real man is usually already using it and it is very old. Mine started in 2008 and I find it amusing when I post in a group and some Filipinas will call me fake. The biggest mistake Filipinas make is they do not look and read the profiles of the men they are interested in and get scammed. The big red flag with Filipinas is when they have locked profiles and dating profiles but won't gtiend you on the account they use for friends and family. It is usually when the Filipina is hiding things. Just good for thought as Filipinas make the same mistakes over and over and complain but it is their own fault for not verifying that the man is real. If he won't VC block him.

I was in olongapo back in 1980 and 81 when I was in the Marine corps. I was friends with women there and I don't blame them for making a play to get a husband and get out of that poverty in P.I. and go to a country like America. They can then eat regularly and have clothes and live in some comfort. On the boat over ,my first time ,the gunnery Sgt made a big speech about " don't marry these women because they just want to get to America." And most have been prostitutes since teenage years." But most ALL American men lose BIGTIME with the American women and die in total misery. I feel bad l couldn't do more for any of those girls than I did. And I miss them . I would like to see the very same ones again to talk. But they are probably past by the hard living in the Philippines. God bless their soles forever.

I'll follow up with a second comment because really there was other things I did want to discuss but my first comment was getting too long.
The one lady who was talking about chatting with foreigners and talking about how they lie about coming there to visit them and then they won't do it and they'll block them and all that stuff. Yeah that does go on. It also goes on a lot with Filipina blocking foreign men too. Especially when they ask that foreign man what is their job. Anyways it is not easy commitment to take a trip over there depending on which country you're coming from. For me I live in the United States and I have been to the Philippines four times since 2019. A lot of people don't want to commit to that long travel or take the time for best flight options

We separate our trash and recycling here. I've encountered the scammers also. It's pitiful and shameful they feel they must be dishonest to make a living. I wish your government would do more to improve the economy so people would have more opportunities. But I also understand the challenges of trying to build an infrastructure and economy when your country is spread out among 7,000 islands. And at least 80 million of your 110 million population live in the province. It's a difficult job. I wish your government wasn't afraid to ask for and receive help in doing this. 99% of scammers are Africans, Indians, Pakistani, and poorer people in Arab states (including many of the ethnicities above). Like Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Dijobouti, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Libya, Russia, and Egypt. The expect the Filipinas to think they are "rich" because they are in a rich oil producing country. They are always impoverished plumbers, laborers, and the like...but the just want you to notice "Saudi Arabia", and the picture of them standing next to their boss's nice car.
They aren't fooling anybody. People who are well off in the West do not ask a dating partner from a 3rd world country to send them "5000 pesos". The fact that he even asked for pesos instead of dollars, euros, or pounds is a dead give away he himself is in the Philippines or South American Spanish Speaking nation.
