Scammers and gold diggers are in every country and not just the Philippines. It is best to just go slow and get to know the person well before thinking to get into a relationship with them. I've seen Filipinos who were very good at scamming guys. There are many sweet and honest Filipinas who do desire a husband and who would make a great wife. And it's also sad there are a lot of guys who just use Filipinas for fun and sex and break their hearts after they tell them how much they love them and then just leave them for the next pretty girl they see and want. Take your time to really know the person and don't get crazy in lust because she may be beautiful and sexy. That beautiful, sexy, sweet girl may have a husband and child and other boyfriends which I've seen here in the Philippines.
Gold diggers happen in every country but they are much more common in the philippines. I have met countless Filipino women that do the whole "double agenda" thing.
That's why you should ask for a Cenomar before you get serious. I did..if they couldn't or wouldn't..there's yr sign.

Being scammed is voluntary. Immediately ditch anyone who asks for one peso. Don’t get involved with anyone who can’t pay their own phone bills

We met in person. 3 years together and 6 trips starting in 2017. We were engaged 2019 and prepared for our wedding in 2020. Our wedding was supposed to be April 2020 but due to the crazy coof my flight was cancelled in March 2020. It was a tough pill to swallow. I starting to notice some warning signs, some odd behavior in late February early March. I found out in August that in January 2020, just a few months before we were to be married she was back with her ex. How does that even happen? It doesn’t matter if you meet someone online or in person. A bad person is a bad person. It didn’t take me long to move on and put it behind me. That is life. Pick up the pieces, move forward and don’t look back.
Your so right; bad women are all around us, online, at the local 7 eleven. Etc. You just move on. She probably never broke up with the ex. In the 1st place 😉

Hello Sir im in a similar situation you were the first person i seen in a almost exact situation I thought all was good with my filipina i supported her through her annuelment thought all was fine since i worked with her godmother met her 3x in a year then im like i want to see you again shes like i have work as a nanny i cant make the time to see you...found out later she back with her ex. It feels good to feel im not the only one in this situation i am younger than most at 31 and the filipina older at 37

Thank you.. yes, I thought I found the right girl. Then I noticed her "working me" and I said something about it. I recall the first time, I said, "with the money I have sent you, I could have bought a ticket to PI.." She didn't comment. Later she ask for a reload on her phone of 2500 pesos and I thought, wow she is really playing me. Then the phone was broken yet we were talking on it. She took a picture of another phone and sent to me. LOL.. So I just quit talking and calling. Now she blocked me on Christain Philapina... I guess my observation was correct. I think her friends are trying to connect with me now. I just let the phone ring.. It hurt my feelings but it also reminded me, that I knew early on and so it was a good lesson, to be prepared for what can happened..

Watching my brother go through this......his 3rd overseas wife!!.......just love your advice, which is almost like it was coming from my fathers voice for the last 30 years!!!..................scammers are here for sure! but I must sat, his 2nd wife was my best friend and was an amazing human! She died in childbirths 9 years ago as I was in the labor room with her......BUT he was online dating in less that 3-6 months, and YES she got him......3-4 engagment rings (got stolen, lost, down the drain etc) and then comes the fees for citizenship.....yeah....she IS STILL NOT a citizen, still on a marriage visa which runs out this year, ......BUT yes, he has been sick , hospitalized, etc.....and he's young.. but her visa is running out....and the clock is ticking....just my opinion...lol.
Oh, but within 24 hours they bought a "condo rental" in the phillipines that "magically" has NEVER given them a monthly rent payment, nor ever 1 payment in 9 years!.......... OK THATS NORMAL
She (his wife) now has 4-6 properties in HER name (cuz remember that they cannot hold real estate in her name unless he is a fillippine citizen) BUT SHE CAN! So go buy 5 or 6 more pieces of property.

The scam stories are like Dating Horror Stories- Early on in my first trip to Philippines- I got scammed by a single mother in serious poverty. I figured it out after a while and dropped my communication immediately.

Thank you for the great advice and warning signals. I came close to getting scammed but I watched enough videos with similar advice during the Pandemic (while waiting to travel there) that I was able to keep any money I sent to a minimum -- and I always considered it a donation, mostly to help TH-camrs who were just starting out and needed help with their new channels. As far as personal relationships, I will not send any money overseas and I will wait until I get there to try to meet someone to spend the rest of my life with.

Great video as always! This is off topic but have you ever considered doing a video on STI/STDs in the PH? What are the most common ones, attitudes, how to bring up a discussion with your (future) partner and avoid stigmas, where a couple could get tested, costs involved, and how to handle a situation where it turns out a test returns positive. What people consider an STD. For example here in the US a lot of people are in denial that HSV is an STI ( I think it's likely that those people may have it and want to dismiss it as an issue). Even medical professionals down play it (HSV). The older I get the more I run into this issue. It's a hard issue to deal with when one person has it and the other does not. It's a hard decision to step back. I have tried to think about how my partner would handle the situation if the roles were reversed and base my decision to proceed on that. This topic gets very little attention on the PH vlogs I watch so I am suggesting it to vloggers I watch. Thanks!
Great topic. Might need medical / hospital / health department records to achieve accurate results as saving face and lack of medical knowledge are rampant. But, I do believe there a lot of HPV and other diseases that are under-reported. Peace.

Thank you lovely Rubeauti for covering the topic. I had an attempted scam from a 'girl' in Indonesia. It happens everywhere. Several clues gave 'her' away. Refusing to Skype with ridiculous excuses, asking for a birthday present and when I checked her Facebook page (she gave me the page!) her birthday was 6 months off. I actually bought her a small gift just to see what happens and she wouldn't give me her address to send it to, using a 'work' address! Another sign I've heard of is 'girls' who try to move you very quickly from social media to Whatsapp. Stay safe and well lovely lady! ❤🥰

Doesnt mean a girl want to move in whatsapp is a scammer i did the same when i was in dating site ,, when i met my husband on website its only hi and hello and i give my viber or whatsapp number and we contacted there because whatsapp and viber is more easy to access than website

One of the first Filipinas that I talked to on a dating site last year lied on her profile saying that she was not married and had no kids. Turned out that she is married to a guy that left her to go work in Dubai and she has two children with him. The legal problems that can arise from being with a woman like that are dangerous for a foreign guy. Not to mention that if she was willing to lie like that, there’s no way to trust her about anything else.

Dont want to show you a Facebook account.. that it was deactivated.. for family or hacked don't remember PW and Facebook should be old not newly created.. scammers want to use WhatsApp and skype so they show you what they want you to see..
Yes I have fallen under the scammer and think I am being scammed yet again. Known her for over three years, met her once back in 2019 even then we sure had our ups and downs she would always get angry over the most stupid of things. Now days our video calls are always so short she always makes excuses why she has to go and she is the one to always end the calls, even her chat is so short and she takes ages to answer. We plan to marry in June of this year but what is so odd she never wants to discuss our marriage plans or if she does speak about marriage it is usually when I bring up the subject. I really have lost any will to love her as I am so depressed, tired of being screwed around. I really have to wise up for my future a man has to be on his guard dating women online as women do too!
1 common trend iv found, is they claim to not know their home address, or they have extreme problems 1 after the other. 1 claimed her mother was in the hospital with blood sugar over 500 but sent money to a "friend" then in the same few days they claim their phone isn't working and they need more money,can't get a job,contracted food posioning. Can't afford food. Won't video call, or promise to do things the next day but change the subject,lots of gaslighting.

If someone asks you for help, that doesn’t mean that they’re a scammer or insincere. Their needs may well be real along with their desire for a relationship and commitment. Most people are fairly transparent if you’re paying attention and you trust your gut. You can easily discern who’s genuine and who’s a cheat

God it's FREE to video chat! For God's sake if you never ask for video chat nowadays, and they just share pictures, and if you ask for video chat and they make excuses not to, BLOCK them! It's so simple, and will save a lot of time and headache and heartache! 🤦🤦🤦
I think my friend had been scammed. He’s moved to the Philippines to be with a girl 30 years younger than him with two young kids. He’s grumpy and handicapped, can’t walk without a rollator, has to use catheters several times a day, can be incontinent with his bowels and is on oxygen. There is NO WAY she’s marrying him for his good looks and personality. She sees $$ which he doesn’t even have.
Hi Rubeauti, thank you for your TH-cam channel I find it very interesting, yes I have been scammed before sadly,, I supported a lady for eight months but saw to many of those warning signs and stop sending but now she has mental problems and lives in the streets which I have seen on TH-cam and been told but now I have been scammed by two of her girlfriends, I sent money to them to help her get medical help and get off the streets but her girlfriends keep all the money for themselves, very silly of me but never again will I send money to Philippines, thank you for reading my story

i agree there is a great amount of scammers but i am lucky i have met a woman and we have been friends for over 10 yrs. and yes i have helper her with some money now and then but i trust her and know her well. and it is nice to have someone to talk with in my day even it is online.

The dating sites are filled with scammers and the sites have no interest in policing their site to get rid of them. The best thing is just show up in the Philippines and go meet people.

I met a Filipina here in Antipolo. I was talking to her about a couple scams I've heard of here in the Philippines. Well , it turns out that this girl had an American man run a scam on her ! They met and everything was good between them and he took her back to the USA with him. And it turned out that he wanted her to get a job , cook the food , pay all of the bills ; basically support him entirely. Well , I got lucky with my Filipina. She's a gift from God. This is a Very Sad but important Topic ! Coincidentally I had just previously watched a video called Is it true that What alot of Foreigners men say that Filipina are Scammers ??? She made clear that this a General Statement!!! And of I agree with Her that not all Filipinas are Scammers !!! The Real Sad part is the women that do that set a very Bad Reputation and that Hurts all Philippines women and the Whole Philippines Country !! Every country in the world has different types of people in it and Scammers can be found anywhere in the world!! One thing what I used to do was I asked early the person with who I was chatting take a selfie with piece of the paper where is a date and my name. If the the girl is real she don't have any problems to take a picture. If not she or he was allways saying that "don't you trust me? That is so rude" or "I have my own busines and lots of money. I don't care about your money" I'm lucky inaf that now I have a great Filippina on my life after one who used me to get working visa on my country... But that's okay. I learn my lesson because of that woman.
I'm married to a Filipino lady .when she and I first meet she never asked me for one penny.we now have 4 kids my wife is so awesome. When she and I first meet I had a prepared card with money on it I ask her to hold it for me you know she never used my card .not one time.i am very lucky to have her as my wife.we been together now for 10yrs.there a 18 yr gap between us.
I wouldn't give my girl anything until I met her in person. Even though she appeared to be struggling. She also wouldn't take anything unless I was buying her a chocolate or meal for eventual monthsary. I did send 4k for a sack of rice once, but she cried and didn't want me to see her in a negative light. When I did finally visit and seen how hard it was for I came to conclusion that it wasn't right to be with her and not support her some. I figured that in the US that if we want on a date a week that it would add up to about 40 minimum, so gave her 90 a month. Don't be scammed, but realize that if you're going to be married to a girl on the other side of the world that there comes a point that you also need to care for some of her needs. This shouldn't come as an immediate issue, only after you've meet several times in person, shared experiences, and gain approval from the family. If someone in the family doesn't like you, go ahead and move on.
Another scam for the girls who take it to the next level is they'll let you come visit them, or if she, sister, or mother doesn't like you. When you are there, the hotter, younger cousin or niece will move in on you. She will start talking to you in private when you return home. Then she will claim that you are hitting on her and she will tell the girl your are dating if you don't buy her silence. Or they will tell so that your girl can break up with you. Never speak to girls in the family without her there if you are serious.
Well you really have a sincere wise way of discussing and explaining alot of important aspects of your country. I have listened to a few of your culture videos. I have a friend in canada who just married a Filipina woman. She is working in a solid profession and has no children. He is a big macho healthy kind man about 45 yrs old. He agrees with alot of your cunning insights Rubeauty. My friend lets call him 'Dolf' say you present an honest wise perspective tive that is much needed. Yes many foreigners are looking for the read deal, not rip and run. So keep doing what you are doing and kudos to you for your inter cultural videos. About your 2019 experience, his motive is a mystery. Did you find him online or did he find you? If he pursued you and wouldn't show his identity, what are the possible reasons? He didn't ask you for anything material like money. Did he use a fake pic? Was he somebody you know who was "spying" on you, somebody close or somebody you would recognize? An ex-boyfriend? Or maybe he felt he had no real chance for you, you are too perfect, and it would be the end for him either way. How did communication between you two officially end?
Some do it because they were scammed and want to get back at someone. Others get a perverse pleasure knowing they can fake someone out. Of course the big one is financial but I don't see what they would get from her as she is from a poor country. Very sad.

I meet a girl at Instagram, it was fun because at the biginning I was thinking why she is even talking to me, we sent messages, even we make video calls, we keep talking a lot, and she start asking for money, it wasnt a lot, just for some food and things like that, but then she start asking for a little more money, I tougth we were in a kind of relationship =(, actually she give me back some of the money, but then I make my reaserch and she has like 3 or 4 facebook pages, she even have a boyfriend, I confront her and she admitted she had lie my a lot of times, she talk to me and tell me to give her one more chance, we still talk but she know I wont send any more pesos for her, and I really dont trust her anymore, it is sad because I had true feelings for her, It hurts me a lot, but well I think I learn the bad way

They are now giving their whatsapp numbers to make you think they will do a video call but then make excuses why they cant answer. You can bust them immediately if you video call while they are typing. 😅If they say they cant use whatsapp, which is free and can be used on wifi, run.

There is one thing you forgot i think you did not mention and that is when they figure out that you are not giving in they play the old empathy thing to make you feel bad as they say i really feel bad as my mom or my sister or what ever raised me and i am feeling bad that i cannot help them. You have to bend and they win.

Someone who thinks they can get online and quickly develop a meaningful relationship with a woman from a different culture, background, education and economic status is already halfway to being scammed. Where do you even start in putting such a person straight?
It's social media which is a way to connect to PPL around the world . Big hassle ,Alot of filtering & alot of dishonest scammers but you might be 1% lucky 🙏🤞just gotta be very careful & weary . It took me over 50 but eventually I've found one fingers crossed everything works out until we meet in 6 months

I've only watched a few of your videos, but have learned a lot. Learning about scammers is critical for western guys. I had a Filipina try to scam me claiming her mother died and they didn't have the money to bury her.
I didn't have any previous experience with something like this but asked around and found out that she is nothing but serious trouble. Everything about her was a lie and she had no shame when I confronted her about it.
Anyways, I learned quickly (thank God) but I know there are tons of guys who fall for these scams.
Thanks so much for putting out info that could literally keep someone from being destroyed mentally and financially.
A common one is where they conveniently kill off the man in the house when often he is right there just off camera.
As soon as money enters the conversation, it's over.
I tell them send some 🐱🐱, to be honest I am being a$$hole but how many other have they asked... Not the only one, it's like some panhandlers in New York City who actually have a respectable home.. Just choose to ask for money an do well doing it

Fortunately I didn't fall for any scams. Although being someone new to dating websites in February, I quickly learned there are so many scammers. I was able to pick up on clues (I even started a list of warning signs). I almost got pulled into investing in a piggery because it seemed real and she was able to quote the costs of things and send photos of an empty area where the pigs would be. The warning sign was how eager she was to talk about the business day and night. As soon as I asked for a video chat. She was gone.
Those site are full of scammers. I went on one to look around a few years ago, but didn't load a picture. I kept getting messages telling me how they liked my picture or how handsome I am. Really made me doubt anything on them.

Always don't give any help to a person you haven't already meet . From my part i made this mistake because i was in love, they use many ways to ask for help and make you feel guilty and help your future Asawa ko. But at the end the truth will come in light. The only bad thing is that take time which is bad for your money and feelings. So for fast results don't send any help at all.
I was in a LDR for 2 yrs , I used to laugh at people who would fall in love online ..Before I knew it I was in love online hahahaha..After 2 yrs I sold my properties and planned to move to the Philippines..I arrived in Manila and met my girlfriend, the problem is the girl was pregnant when I arrived 🤣😂🤣😂

Good job with this video just being real. Thanks for sharing helping people not become victims. Poverty will make a person do just about anything, and being a Filipino, and all the love they have for their families, its easy for them to justify taking money to feed their families, Understandable, but guys need to know whats really going on with some of the people that are very poor, iv'e been there before and made friends girls and guys and they never asked me for money or even wanted to. they didn't earn that much but were professionals in their occupations and i admired them, and i met very poor people offering me some food or a drink of beer walking down the street or just say hello. I've been moved by their lifestyle and how they interact with each other is almost like all brothers and sisters. The whole country for the most part has a serious bond in love which i find attractive . Many different cultures should learn from them. I Love The Philippines. Be cause of the people! Thank you all for your fine hospitality when i was visiting.

I can...sad reality.
An American guy I know has had a long distance relationship with a much younger Filipino woman, for a number of years.
He's been going to see her twice per year for a month at a time & sending her money every month in-between.
It turns out that she's been married all along & her husband has been in on the scam of draining the American guys money.
What gets me is, having a gf thousands of miles away for 10months of the year is no recipe for a good, healthy relationship anyhow.
In my mind either commit 100% or not at all.
By not doing so, he found out the hard way, she wanted his money & nothing else.
Similar stories are rife for long distance relationships all over the world.

I lived in Namibia in the 1990s as a teenager and my brother accidentally caused my parrot to escape. We posted notices with reward money. We were scammed with a long story that kept having more layers. We ended up in the slums and giving someone cash while waiting in a taxi. They said it was too dangerous as a white person… they never came back. My mother and I laughed at ourselves. We felt it was a scam but wanted the bird back.
This was a small matter but I think I learned a bit about wishful thinking shaping judgments.

Great video. It takes 2 to be scammed. Always meet the person face to face. Take your time knowing her/him.
