I am aircraft mechanic. We do the same thin g for troubleshooting, use known working parts to swap out till you find the issue. Saves millions of dollars a year. Thanks for the video.
@@sergiod1618 mine also was, I even grabbed my computer and the graphics card to the office where they assembled it for me. The card was fine on ALL of the other computers, and ALL other cards were fine on my own pc, after a couple of days, trials and errors I couldn't figure it out so I returned the card and thought to buy another one to test, but I haven't got the chance to yet..
These types of videos are less than worthless to the average consumer. The average person doesn’t just have a shelf full of spare parts to swap in and out. People who do have a shelf filled with parts already know how to do this. So who is this video for? Oh to have people who are having a problem click and get no help. Cool. What a joke the whole computer industry and tech TH-camrs are.
Figured mine that it was either the bios settings or the static. Fixed mine by removing the gpu, then the cmos battery to reset the settings for five-6 min, hold the power button for thirty sec to drain the static, and finally plugged everything back. GPU now displays. IMPORTANT: (Make sure to have done the unplugging method above before proceeding) Also make sure to understand the BIOS configuration for the display. Sometimes, PCI-E (Display output for the GPU) gets interchanged with the iGPU (Display output for the integrated GPU of your CPU; most Intel CPUs have this) or the other way around. To check if that's the case, you can try plugging your monitor to the iGPU instead of the GPU or the other way around and check if it turns on. If it does, then there's a possibility that your BIOS is not properly configured to show display through your other display output. You can find it in most BIOS under 'Display Configuration' or the likes. Hope it helps!
@@blank4700 please bro can you explain i am having same problem how did you do that what do we have to do exactly first remove GPU and CMOS then hold power button for 30 second and then wait for 5-6 min and plug back that's it ? Or anything else pls reply
Hi guys one thing that you should check before doing any action is your motherboard cables connection, try to replug each cable at be sure that's well inserted, that was the issue that I faced pretty stupid 😫😫
If the motherboard's the issue, then try removing the cmos battery for 15 minutes or using the screwdriver to touch the cmos pins for 15 seconds to short circuit it. What that will do is reset the cmos (BIOS). That helped when my PC wouldn't post cuz of me being an absolute dumbass for messing with the XMP profile.
@@khushisingh-sj8wi he’s not trolling, with the pc off and unplugged there’s two little pints that if you connect using a screwdriver it’ll reset the cmos
Hey man i have the issue in the video right after i got a new motherboard and i went into the bios to enable xmp and after that my pc stopped posting do you think the cmon reset will work?
@@FunnyKaden555find two pins somewhere on your motherboard it’ll have writing next to it called CLR_CMOS turn your psu off and get a screwdriver and place it in the middle of the pins and wait for 15 seconds turn pc on and your cmos will be cleared
I actually switched my hdmi cable to the older cable and it worked. It was all about the bios system settings. It was not setup to detect pci-e or hdmi on the motherboard. Just the standard regular old vga cable fixed the problem for me
Same here. After a cpu upgrade, the PC turned on fine, but after some "cable management" in my ancient pc case (during which i did reset the BIOS), i couldn't get any display, even tho every part seemed to work as it should. Eventually (i'm not sure if i read it somewhere in a comment or if it was sheer desperation) i swapped the HDMI cable and plugged the GPU via the VGA one and BOOM, pc booted no problem.
@@sunseth1384 yeah i hate this problem, this evening i spent hours fiddling in front of a bit impatient people who's probably knew better than me, i knew there's something wrong with the motherboard or the bios but wtf can i do when resetting bios didn't work and nothing is broke? but out of all thing, changing display cable fixed the thing. i probably didnt really clear the cmos or something, shit is weird, sometime restarting it about a dozen time will solve itself like nothing happened.
My pc boots up I can see the asrock logo after a few seconds The display goes off, the computer is working fine, the keyboard mouse too, after I disconnect and connect the VGA cable, the display shows up,sign in(windows),I think it's a cable or monitor issue, what else could be the issue?
I suspected the board to be the culprit in facebook simply by knowing that the chipset was a b450 type, but I didn't actually think that it would be faulty though. One thing is for sure there would of been no other way to know for sure, without swapping it.
If it still not showing anything try pressing (windows icon+ctrl+shift+b) while the pc is still running Then turn it off by pressing the button Turn it on It's gonna ask you for boot by pressing f1 (don't boot anything) press shift+alt+delete It helped me when nothing else did (I seriously tried everything) gl
Sumwhere in the comments sum1 mentioned it was the screw on the cpu fan that was tightened too tight, cant find the comment bt to THAT GUY... THANK YOU... you changed everything for me... fixed my problem. Had two problems... 1. Took entire pc apart until it was just power supply and motherboard (cpu and fan/heatsink still connected) and turned it on, still orange light then I read your comment and loosened the screws a little and hit power button... BOOTS TO GREEN LIGHT. 2. I then inserted all four ram cards and again got the orange light so I insert and start test each ram slot one by one, it was the second ram card so I swapped second and forth card around and started up, SHE PURRS BEAUTIFULLY. It also cud be the bios hard resetI did bt for me... loosening the cpu cooling mount/fan was where everything changed, got a different result from all the tests I did. So thank u for channels like this and people who comment. The vid may not solve your problem bt a comment might. Keep it up guys.
The easiest way I did was to check the beep sound when I unplugged all the RAM. Without RAM there would be long beep: 1. If the beep does not exist (you must make sure the speaker buzzer system of motherboard is fine, some motherboard failed to beep at all or your buzzer is broken/reversed) then it must be either the processor or the logic/Super IO motherboard (which is hardest) and after changing the processor to known working & compatible one still does not sound beep then it is clearly the motherboard issue which require advanced electronic test such as MOSFET and voltage output. 2. But if there is a long beep then most likely just VGA (Graphics Card) or RAM issue. Some motherboards (not all) will generate unique sound if the VGA is failed. Try using onboard or switch to another VGA. If the problem persist try replugging RAM to different slot or change the RAM to known good one (borrow one if you don't have). If you are a technician usually you have something like "PCI Tester PC Analyzer Diagnostic Card" to show the current code that the motherboard is currently stuck at. PS: I'm a PC technician for 8 years.
@pierdolek1236 troubling shooting mine this Monday I'll get with you on if this worked. I have the issue where everything turns except my gpu I have changed the board and kept everything else the same and everything booted up but I still want to fix my board since i had to use a friend's to figure that much out. Clearing the cmos definitely did something tho because at first mine didn't even have the cpu fan spinning
Today I replaced the pads on my MB and GPU heatsinks, but had forgotten to plug the CPU cable in after reassembly. I panicked after getting no image and thought I had short circuited my graphics card. So I found the cable while watching your video, and now my PC works again lol!
First things first to ever try when you get this problem is to unplug the powercable, then remove the battery on the motherboard becuase many MANY modern motherboards get fucked up then move around the PC and somehow the motherboard loses its "memory" or something.. 19 of 20 times its its so simple atleast.. cheers!
I am very suspicious it's my motherboard causing the issue. It had been repaired once for the same issue. But now, I decided to buy a new motherboard. I'm done dealing with shit. Good video by the way.
Change new ram, still not working. Change power supply, still not working, Reset CMOS, still not working. New Motherboard, still not working.. How about CPU ? If CPU problem, you still can boot ?
Thank you for spending 5 mins talking about the specs of that PC... So useful.. it's almost like I searched "how to hear random shit that has nothing to do with what I'm looking for"
I need help! I’m finished my first PC build and the test outside the case went well, the bios showed up on my motherboard and it was dandy! BUT now that it’s inside the case and everything is still running, I plug in my DP cable into the GPU and into the monitor but now the monitor says it’s receiving NO signal from the DP cable. I’ve got no idea what’s wrong
@@hamadkd7017 Hey! The issue fixed itself. Idk how, but after 18+ hours it started working. That’s not useful but I’d say leave the plugs in and come back to it. Hope everything works out
One of the most common problems is a dead/or dying CMOS battery. When I have any POST problems, I insert a new battery. If the battery has gone SOUTH, you might see a message informing you that the system clock needs to be reset. Also, I keep a few new button batteries attached to the inside of my PC, just in case.
Dude i wanna thank you. That eraser move worked amazingly with my computer. Its showed no signal and i did as you said. And now my pc is up and running thx for your help
Hi, hope you are doing well. I got the same issue with my Dell Inspiron (i7 4790 processor). It was installed in an i3 casing previously. I bought the Gamdias Athena E1 Elite ATX Micro Tower Gaming Case (1 ARGB Fan) (1 Black Fan). And my PC was working fine but when I swapped it to new case, my PC stopped giving the display. My PC bios got corrupted by swapping. So the technician did new bios but it still didn't gave display. I took my PC to a new technician and he just plugged out the power button with the wires from the previous casing and shoved it in the new casing and my issue got solved. Now my PC has duel power bottons. Turns out that the jumpers and the system security from the previous casing were the only way to make my PC function again.
my pc turns on but the led lights don’t work and the screen is straight black but the ram i’m trying to install is brand new i’ve tried everything from all types of videos and comments and nothing is working
My pc was working fine till recently. It was working on 2 X 8gb ram. Now it only boots on 1x 8 GB ram with no issues on any of the 4 slots and boots silently. When I boot with 2 X 8 GB ram, there is a noisy fan sound and no display and after a few seconds, the pc goes into a boot up loop. I've test both rams individually in all slot and they work. I've even swapped out the CMOS battery. Please help can't figure it out
Mine stopped showing images after stopping an overclock. I got the Alienware r10. The OC is the system preset so youd assume its safe. Literally tested overclock to see the difference. To go back to normal clock it did a restart aaaaaaand no signal. Resat the ram and gpu. Monitors work fine and the pc boots except it runs the rgb like for 5 seconds, goes black, repeats. Doesnt sound any beeps for system errors... Im confused af.
my problem is that i changed some settings in the bios and when i left bios it was just black screen. I turned the pc off and back on and it did the loud thing that it always does when it boots on but it did it infinitely PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi, I have two motherboards that stopped working on the same day, It's a little weird. One gives one long beep and the other one long and 2 short. Is it possible that the power supply killed both? The power supply is otherwise not used.
I need help , when my uncle transferred my ram to the new pc to test out if the new one ram is faulty. Then when he put it back on my pc , my pc doesn't display anymore even tho the system is powered on. The cpu ez debug light is blinking white light in few secs in startup then a hold white light after those seconds , we tried cleaning the ram and the ram slot , put in diff slot , and still doesn't work. So we tried resetting the bios , check the cpu if it has bend pin , the cpu is ok but still not working.. Sorry if my english grammar is bad.
I had a CPU issue a few days ago. Same thing as in the video. RGB and fans turned on but no display. Thing is my GPU RGB wouldn't turn on which made me doubt if it was the CPU or the motherboard. A blue electric spark appeared in my pc before it happened, so anything was possible. So I just went to a pc store and got a compatible motherboard and CPU and I explained my issue and that I needed to do some testing. They told me I could return the hardware if it was in perfect state. I was still under warranty for my own components, but I didn't want to wait. That's how I did it if you don't have component, albeit a expensive solution. But you do get your money back in the end. Found out it was the CPU and returned the motherboard. Now I sent my old CPU for repair, but I still kept the new CPU. (Secretly did a slight cpu upgrade too, because it was actually a bottleneck anyway) So I got my money back for the motherboard and now I'm waiting for a replacement for my old CPU and will sell it after.
Please help me, I assembled a brand new pc, it powers up motherboard light is on, keyboard light is on, mouse light is on. But no display. I've visited quite a few shops but everyone said GPU is faulty. I tested my GPU on my old dual core pc and it's working. Now everyone is saying the motherboard is faulty. Ive done most of the troubleshooting, power supply is working. I'm really confused if its the motherboard or cpu or just maybe I should hardreset the bios setting and try. I was unable to find any guide on how to reset my motherboard. My parts are: i3 10100f, MSI H410m-a pro, 16gb RAM ballistix, GTX 1030 DDR5. Antec B550 power supply
My PC has a red and orange light when I turn it on and not display. The lights go away after like 5-10 minutes and the display turns on. Everything works fine once there is a display but obviously it's not supposed to be like that.
that board shouldve never been paired with that cpu without active cooling on the VRMs or after market heatsinks applied those VRMs cant handle the core count and power load without overheating. He'll just have the same problem as before. Buy a bunch of old or defective boards for their heatsinks theyre usually the exact same hole spacing
I'm having the same issue. Everything turns and spins, but no signal. I swapped my GPU into the lesser PCIE slot which is 2.0 and it works. I think I fucked up my PCIE 3.0 slot, but i''m still testing
@@heyitsleyy if its not working, u need to troubleshoot it 1. U can try insert your gpu in other pc and try turn it on, if the display show up as usual, that gpu should be no problem 2. Thanks for the video. I'm currently experiencing this issue. I moved my pc from basement to 2nd floor and now it spins+lights up but no display on monitor. I tried another monitor, gpu, other RAM and different slots. I'm at the point where it's either the cpu cooler, the cpu itself, or the motherboard pcie slot. I'm really regretting not taking the AIO and GPU out before moving it.
@@Morvellius yeah turned out to be the motherboard pcie slot. Luckily my gpu was fine and it was not too expensive a motherboard but still, unfortunate. I wish you the best lmk how it goes.
The issue with my motherboard is that mine has a button labelled as CLR_CMOS2 instead which seems unique from other mobos, i havent seem this with other motherboards. (MSI X470 Gaming Plus). What i did was just shut down the computer and unplug the power cord that connects to your computer and flip the switch, once thats done. I pressed down on CLR_CMOS2 for 15 seconds or so and let go and plugged back everything and it worked. Update: I had the same issue again, i had it two more times and fixed it the same way i explain above. Its kind of annoying and im concerned about what's wrong. Can you suggest akhi pls what the issue might be?
Hey my man I hope you got your problem fixed. But for everyone reading your comment from now on let me say that if you're facing this issue frequently and you're solving it frequently by resetting cmos, you should replace the battery.
None of this fixed my issue, but after a lot of time i may just have finally fixed it. The issue seems to have been the power supply air filter at the bottom of my case being clogged up with dust and somehow that may have been causing my power supply, that is at the bottom of my case and FAN FACE DOWN and had been intaking air through that dirty filter, to malfunction and cause the signal loss on the monitor. I just rolled over the power supply to fan face up to intake air from inside the case and havent had issues since. ALSO i remove the CMOS shorter from the cmos pins on the motherboard (The cmos shorter is a tiny tiny tool that is used on the cmos pins on the motherboard. Look online for more info)
I have a Lenovo laptop which switches on, when the screen lights up it has the Lenovo logo with preparing automatic repair. Then another screen appears headed choose an option. The only one that takes me forward leads to another screen: Automatic repair. However, this like the rest leads back to the first screen: preparing automatic repair! What can I do?
Before doing all that reset bios or remove cmos battery. Motherboard might be good but windows or boot process might be corrupt. You will know this if your motherboard has a vga light on
@sqshq basically the BIOS it's not dead. First try removing the CMOS and power cycle your PC. Do not use your graphics card if your mother board has a video output. Use that one instead that should help you identify if your card its damaged. If it boots and you are able to get to BIOS you should be good. If not your mother board might be bad. If your motherboard has dual boot that should help as well. Try that and good luck 👍

Or my psu is bad and doesnt give enough wattage? Also I dont have iGpu. Im using ryzen5 2600 so I cannot tell if my pc is booting up to bios when the kboard/mouse is turning on. My gpu is good tho because the Tech tested it and I saw it myself.

I literally just had the same problem with a prebuilt HP OMEN. Shut it down and went to work came home tried to boot it up and it was freezing. I was lucky and had an extra 1660 GPU, a PSU, and a brand-new 8GB stick of RAM to swap out but no matter what I did still froze on the loading screen the circle would stop and stayed that way. Since I've never taken off my cooler let alone the CPU I thought, it had to be the motherboard. Bought a new MSI B550 MOBO and a Nvme SSD (thought the software could have been corrupt) swapped all my parts got into the BIOS, GREAT! Then went to install a fresh version of Windows and... it froze! Somehow my Ryzen 5 5600g decided to stop working between power cycles. Bought a new Ryzen 7 5800x and an AIO so $600 later I basically have a new PC. I guess on the bright side I have extra, known working, components now, and if I get a used 5000 series CPU I will have another working PC. Good luck with your PC I hope you are up and running soon.

These types of videos are less than worthless to the average consumer. The average person doesn’t just have a shelf full of spare parts to swap in and out. People who do have a shelf filled with parts already know how to do this. So who is this video for? Oh to have people who are having a problem click and get no help. Cool.

Hi guys one thing that you should check before doing any action is your motherboard cables connection, try to replug each cable at be sure that's well inserted, that was the issue that I faced pretty stupid 😫😫

yes, all cables, from ssds to other, its sily like that haha. Thats the fisrt test that everybody should do.

Same here. After a cpu upgrade, the PC turned on fine, but after some "cable management" in my ancient pc case (during which i did reset the BIOS), i couldn't get any display, even tho every part seemed to work as it should. I suspected the board to be the culprit in facebook simply by knowing that the chipset was a b450 type, but I didn't actually think that it would be faulty though. One thing is for sure there would of been no other way to know for sure, without swapping it.

Without RAM there would be long beep:

Before doing all that reset bios or remove cmos battery. Motherboard might be good but windows or boot process might be corrupt. You will know this if your motherboard has a vga light on
So how do you reinstall windows if the bios is not accessible and I have a black screen with VGA light? Ty

I have a Acer Aspire f5 572g 57pv laptop and after trying to overclock my laptop and hitting f10 in bios to save and exit, my laptop got stuck in a black screen every single time I try to boot it, no logo, no bios no nothing, just a black screen, I have tried to cmos reset by removing the bios battery, I tried it 3 times, longest time I waitted before putting it back in was 1 and half an hour, I don't know if this is because I have a bios password (yes ik the password I just need to enter bios to reset it but there is no display), I tried looking for cmos jumper but couldn't find it, please help 😦
No cursor on my screen , it’s pitch black, it says auto adjustment in progress and it doesn’t show nothing else
pc on , fans spin no keyboard light or mouse cpu light on motherboard trouble shooted the motherboard and ram could it be not enough thermal paste?
(Black screen and mouse not light)
Those who watch this video and not working use my mothed, first left the pc only with power supply cable and hdmi, then disconnected the cmos battery wait 5 second and take off extra ram and left only one, after that put the cmos battery back and turn on,it work for me
when my pc is on some times it randomly black screens and restarts is there a way to figure out what part this is
Probably the PSU
Few days ago I decided to clean my PC, so I used a blower (I turned off the power and I also didn't touch any equipment, I didn't unplug any wire from GPU, CPU, mainboard etc...) after I finished with the cleaning I came to turn my PC on but it went off right after I turned it on... so I decided to test few things, like I detached the RAMs and changed their places and I also switched the power outlet (instead of using multi outlet I connected PC straight to the outlet) so the thing happened was that PC stayed on for a longer time (few more seconds) but it still went off and turned on again by itself... it's more like a restart loop... rn I connected the monitor but I don't have a screen at all not even mainboard logo and literally black screen...
can someone help
i recently got a new 4060 ti gpu

I just have this problem ..i just get a3070before just use intel.uhd770 (13700k) .
After installing to the mobo it turns on normaly.. but after i install the driver ..and start gaming it suddenly off and no boot no screen at all.

Is this because of my PSU not meet the req ?

Anyone help I accidenly turned my pc off when it was updating and my pc turns on but no display on my monitor and no USB ports or hdmi are working
I have the same problem I clicked update and shutdown and it won't come back on. Pulled the cmos battery for a whole day and it still won't work. Lights fans all turn on but no screen and it's definitely not booting to my home screen
@@nazzato91 did you fix the problem?
@@schaefer8704 yes the motherboard was bricked
@@schaefer8704 apparently during that process it bricked. Maybe bios maybe a power issue. Not sure. Replaced it and been fine since.
I just installed amd driver software and installed driver after restarting there's no display I have amd rx570
okay, so what if my pc has all fans running no rgb on them are turning on, my cpu aio has the fans spinning but the cyberpower logo isnt showing anymore and my gpu is working as normal but nothing will boot onto the screen and jo lights on mobo are displaying, very very confusing trouble shoot
only thing i can think of is the motherboard because i have no further way to test the ram etc but everything was running yesterday and today the system has given me these issues wont boot at all but power is being transfered through the system
Use timestamps please. Other than that, great video and thank you. Your reaction to the successful post test, that's how I am too lol. I loved that.
Bro im facing the same problem after im swap a gpu.. so im have change old gpu and put new mobo and psu but still the same
I installed a new gpu and the pc wont boot up I unplug the power from that gpu and it turns on any idea would a low wattage power supply cause this? Or could the gpu be dead?
Mine was different. didn't boot and had video card not detected beeps (1 long, 3 short), so I just brought all my stuff on the floor, which was cables, a monitor, and the PC altogether, and it boots. I also unplugged all the power cables and pressed the power button to discharge the PC before that. If you don't have a budget for anything else, it could be a heart attack.🤕🤕😄😄
i have a board msi X470 Gaming plus max, i recently bought a GTX 1070 amor Oc when i switch the pc on after 10-15 seconds the screen shows there's power because the no signal disappear but it stays black when i put back my 1060 it's working just fine
Msi x470
Ryzen 5 1600
2x 8Gb ddr4 klevv
700w antec psu
the 1070 is working on my friends pc with 650w psu also antec
at this point i tried so many tricks I found on TH-cam but I never got to get the 1070 to display
Mine has video, I can get to the bios, but when the windows is supposed to start it just freezes there. Not a boot loop, not an infinity windows load, it just freezes.
Good luck with your PC I hope you are up and running soon.
someone please reply and help me, so i was using my pc watching youtube videos, and all of sudden my screen went black from no where, also did happen with me 2 days ago where my screen went green colour and white colour, and then my display wasn't showing from gpu, so i changed the video to motherboard and my pc is working, but my gpu fan is still spinning and it working fine, but still i dont get display, any help?
Same issue here brother. This thing has been plaguing my system for a while and it's the second time this has happed. I am going crazy trying to figure out the cause. The last time this happened a year ago and turned out both my mobo and GC were bad got the mobo replaced under warranty and bought a new GC now the swme issue again 😭😭
