@@revitrich I was super nervous, but my instructor was brilliant and the examiner made us all feel at ease which helped a lot, I had an iffy start of the emergency braking in training, but during the exam I focused and nailed it. The best piece of advice is to just be as relaxed as possible, I was a bit tense which showed on the slalom and figure 8.
Smashed it. Slow manoeuvres is probably the biggest challenge for new riders and a set up like yours is great. One thing I would say though is to invest in a wireless mic, difficult to hear some of what your saying. But nice bike and now your all licences up you can keep building. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@TKRydezz appreciated big man recely got the rode lavalier go professional wire mic for the cam much better quality so will be using that for future videos
This takes me back.. 1989, doing exactly the same, around the garages behind my grandparents house..on my Honda NS125F. Back then it was, part 1 - off road, the cones, figure of 8 etc.. Then part 2 - riding around a set block, consisting of, turn left onto main road, turn left at traffic lights, turn left at next junction, turn left again so you’re back where you started. The examiner walked around with his clipboard. He would then at some point, step into the (side) road with his hand symbolising emergency stop. And that was it 😂 I was 17, and immediately went into HGB Honda in Ruislip Manor (which is where the test was held), and px’d my 125cc NS125F for a Honda VF400F!! Good luck mate, and thanks for jogging the memories 😁👍🏼
@@woooster17 you’re welcome glad to know that you’re his is a route a few people have taken on board and done previously gives me hope that I’ll pass my mod 2 in 12 days time Thanks for watching
@Richieesgarage 100% you got it man I passed my mod 2 on the 10th with 1 minor well happy. got my 2022 mt09 on Friday just been crusing about all weekend. Wished I done it sooner tbh man it's alot better on fuel than my focus st lol 😆 😅. Well done again mate proper happy for you man
Me and my brother passed without driving school, both mod 1 and 2. you do need Somone to transport your bike to the test centre as you know. we learnt the roads on our 125, the local schools actually uploaded videos of all the local test routes so that was very helpful. I wouldn’t be surprised if any local schools uploaded your local routes. I’d advise you watch a tonne of TH-cam videos; they will help you. on the test just ride safe, follow procedure and keep an eye on your speed; 600cc can pull as you will know. If you have any friends that ride maybe have them follow you and act as the examiner picking every point, that was extremely beneficial for me and my brother. Good luck with your test
@@samfisher1890 thanks Sam, as I can’t legally ride on the road on a 600cc I can’t get any road training on it so I’m hoping my 9 years driving experience help and plenty of practice locally at my garage and private car parks helps, yes loads of TH-cam videos of local test routes 6 different routes all 20mph zones by test centre luckily and currently lots of road works 😂
@Richieesgarage I drive and the issue I had was my positioning, I would be too far on the right when turning left at a junction and vice versa when turning right, it took some time and practice to get used to. Best advice is to transport your bike to a private parking lot with junctions and maybe roundabouts and just go around all day long, follow all procedures ect, and like I said having somone else there especially a biker will do wonders. I passed my mod 1 by getting my bike to a parking lot and basically recreating the test centre and all the mauvers while my brother watched, I passed mod 1 first time. Mod 2 again at a parking lot, plenty of junctions and a couple mini roundabouts and I was there all day also passed that a breeze. I must add on road experience is a must be it a 600cc (which you can't ride yet) or a 125 it's imperative as a parking lot and on the road is completely different and there's no doubt you know that. Even a scooter would be good just to help you get on the road but a geard bike is better just so you don't get used to twist and go.
@@samfisher1890 yeah test is 10 days will see what we can do in that time, going to keep studying the videos on youtube get some practice in where I can and go from there! thanks for all the advice!

Well done mate. Considering this path myself when I decide to take the plunge. Still have a year to run on my cbt and want to use up as much of that as possible for experience. Hopefully summer time next year I'll have my full A licence. Well done to you.
Absolutely, i would say suitable though i rent a garage that comes with a tiny box of concrete that's why everything I did was in smaller dimensions than test day. then pushed my motorbike to a local basketball court that had some tarmac which anyone can legally do and I asked for permission and spoke to police prior. The ideal route would be through a riding school but most riding schools wanted me to have 6months riding experience on a 125cc so I took it into my own hands! but thank you. agree no the route for everyone but is working for me so far
