You don't understand saw then, Jigsaw mainly tests the people in the 2-4 catagarys as he sees it as a way too cure those things. Yeah, I think in this situation I'd somehow try to do myself in somehow rather than either of those things happening. That way I could at least control how quick or painless it was.
The thing about the "Saw" movies is after the first one, the traps are more complex and convoluted, which can make them more vulnerable to defeat.
Imagine an intricate trap being shut down cuz a dude accidentally cuts one rope and stopped a crucial part of its triggering mechanism

@@theblindbandit6533 I remember that being original Jigsaw's major gripe with his apprentices after he was hospitalized. They absorbed all the engineering and threw out all the entire purpoe.
There’s a lack of understanding in this comment.
John Kramer the original Jigsaw, didn’t make his traps unbeatable. Each one was designed from the ground up to be solved or “deactivated” in ONE specific way. There was a purpose behind each trap and they were designed to make the victim value their life and be “rehabilitated” from their destructive nature through physical trauma and predicament torture. He was a rich civil engineer before he was a serial killer, and he had a lot of help constructing each trap/game. Each trap was constructed and tested in an environment that minimized any possible caveats or loopholes a victim could potentially discover. That’s why certain traps go through advancements or phases like the bear trap, John was eliminating ways victims could find another way out of a trap other than the specific way he had designed. The only other ways his traps are stopped outside of the way he intends, is if there is a great amount of interference from outside sources such as police, or something in the environment not being previously accounted for.
It is the later Jigsaw killers that do not care about the philosophy of rehabilitation or the value of life.
- Jigsaw #2 (Amanda) became unhinged and made her traps impossible to escape.
- Jigsaw #3 (Hoffman) was arguably the most prolific killer, and even had a higher body count than Kramer, he made his traps impossible to escape as well, his goal was to eliminate pretty much everyone involved with the Jigsaw games, going as far as shooting his way out of an FBI office, setting up sentry gun turrets, bombing state police, faking his death, and killing everyone in a police station including Jigsaw’s own wife.
- Jigsaw #4/Logan wasn’t technically a Jigsaw, he is an ex combat medic and was going out of his way to kill one unbelievably corrupt cop. The games in Saw 8 aren’t Logan, they are in the past being conducted by John, it is actually the first ever Jigsaw game before Saw 1. Those traps were escapable.
- Jigsaw #5/William Schenck also wasn’t technically a Jigsaw but was very much directly emulating/copying Jigsaw. As far as I know his traps were never meant to be escapable either.
So when John was the active Jigsaw killer, the games were literally designed to be beaten and you did have a likelihood of success if you thought hard enough. As for the remaining apprentices/copycats, the traps were designed to be inescapable , so even though they might get more complicated..it’s highly unlikely you would ever escape the trap if you found yourself having to escape one.

That was always my biggest gripe with the Saw franchise. Like, i wanna live as much as the next person, but i don't want to live so badly that I'm willing to gauge out my own eyes with a spoon, bruh! And the whole series is dependent on people who apparently do, i guess??

Well this movie had a series of traps with a group of people… they were supposed to work together to beat each trap but some ended up dying and there were only two that could do this trap so they had to give 5 pints each to survive

@@Its_Captain_Jack_Sparrow not every one of Jigsaw's victims committed crimes, though. One dude literally just self-harmed and I'm not trying to say I'm an advocate of doing it, but I mean he puts that guy in the same vein as a literal rapist. Jigsaw's sense of morality is a little flawed.
@@iiiivvvv9986 Jigsaw's origin story becomes kinda weird throughout the series. First it was because he got diagnosed with cancer and had a failed suicide attempt which gave him a new outlook on life, then it was because his wife had a miscarriage because someone hit her in the stomach with a door, then it was because an insurance company screwed him over with the cancer or something, they pretty much just invent a new origin story whenever they feel like it. It's part of the reason why some people hate Saw but I don't know, the convoluted story is part of the charm in my opinion.

I'd probably just do the blood thing as soon as it turns on without giving the other person a chance to stop me. This sounds depressing, but I'd rather them be fully conscious for the next puzzle than both being half dead
The title made me think it was gonna go in a different direction, but this is even funnier!
Fun fact, the human body has 10 pints of blood in total but if you lose 40% or more of your blood you will die, so losing 4 pints would kill you, so in that situation you either kill your friend or you both die. Unless they took teh 5 pint deal together and sacrificed 2.5 pints each.
In the actual movie there are 5 of them at the beginning. If they worked together, they would only have to give 2 pints each.

Ik right? The movies ended up being more about the traps than the actual story. The first one was great. It was creative, and had both story and interesting traps. Things just went downhill from there. Especially with them killing off so many likeable and interesting characters, one of the best examples being Eric Matthews. Also, the way they made a lot of the traps impossible was so shit. One of the best things about the traps was that they had hope, seeing it was possible to survive, but failed. Giving a human hope just to crush it right after is pure psychologic horror right there.

For me it’s the fact that even the premise of the challenge is supposed to be nigh impossible without someone almost or actually dying since they have to give almost an entire human’s body worth of blood and losing more than 40% can lead you to dying

The thing about the Saw series is the choice of Jigsaw's victims. If you notice, he often choses outrageously evil people. Tho so many of them didnot deserve what happened to them but self-centered people donot always think of group survival, thus leading in literally everyone's death. On a side note, i'd rather die that lose a limb or an eye
