@@VitaNewbo yeh. Alote of people don't realize what they got until they fail suicide or some other wake up call. Because they are so dissassocsiated from society and reality. Bet they feel like they are in a dream or a game.
here's a couple more tips from someone who just finished binging the entire series:
• If you wake up in a chair, don't stand up. Most of the traps that have the victim in chairs and allow them to stand up are started by a metal pin that is pulled out the moment you stand up.
• Don't open or close any big doors. These doors will begin the next trap and will lock you out from the previous. Make sure you have all the materials you can gather before continuing.
• To alleviate pain slightly, take a deep breath and quickly let it out before doing something that will hurt you. The breath out released endorphins, masking the pain slightly.
• Talk with you teammates and get an understanding of the connection between you all ASAP. This will give you a hint on the theme of the traps and what you can do to survive.
The last one is especially clever, well thought of!
What if you scream while doing a painful action? I find that to be more helpful. And if the pain gets worse, you just instincively scream louder right?

This goes along with the “listen intently and follow the rules” part but Through the Saw franchise I’ve learned that what Jigsaw says, sometimes he means literally. He will say something about “the key to freedom is in this bullet casing”, and he literally means a key is in there.
He didn't say it was literally in the shell. He said the gun held the key
@@trash9378 that’s…what he’s saying. John said that, but the key was literally in there, so his words, though not being direct instructions, hold a literal meaning that if the characters realized, they could’ve fared way better
*SPOILERS* In the newest movie he said "set him free or throw away the key" and Chris Rock found the key in a trash can.
It’s frightening how you can wake up in a SAW trap, after forgetting to recycle one day.
We meet again
GODDAMIT ITS YOU AGAIN

Hello!
My favorite example of how BS Jigsaw’s victim choice is would probably be when he had an insurance guy go through a gauntlet of deciding which vaguely affiliated individuals would die, then when he’s “learned his lesson”, he’s killed when the widow and son of a man he denied insurance to don’t forgive him, so there was really no reason for ten or so vaguely affiliated innocent people to die horribly.
~ horror ~
what
@@ThawBerry in I think the 6th film the person you follow through the trap plot (the plot where someone plays through a series of death traps) is a health insurance broker. He creates a formula which tells the company he works for if it is monetarily beneficial to give them health insurance. (They say his job was basically to pick who lives and who dies) His death traps basically have him pick between people that worked for/with him and pick who lives and dies, as some of them had to die. In the end the twist is that a woman and her son that we've seen and are led to believe his wife and kid turn out to be the wife and kid of someone he denied health insurance to. They then have to decided whether he and his sister get to live and die. The kid then decides to not forgive him and kills them. All the people in the health insurance guy's death traps were basically unnecessary victims. Pretty sure one of them was just the janitor in the office they worked at
@@scottydog771 oh ok
@@scottydog771 And this type of idiocy is why I don't watch the Saw franchise.
It's all pointless.
Jigsaw would most likely put you in a trap through some bullshit like "When you were born, your parents carried you past a man who's friends, cousin's, step-brothers great great great great great great grandad once kicked a rock which left a light bruise on a child walking by when he was 7."
🤣
“The child was fine and the pain he felt was BEARable, that is why I installed a reverse Beartrap on your head”
I thought about this for so long omfg
"And that child was ME!"
"W-what did I do wrong???"
"You popped your P too hard in that one conversation last week and managed to get a tiny of saliva on that woman's baby"
The thing that makes me the most mad is when John says he doesn’t like murderers yet it puts people in traps where they have to murder to survive for example Amanda. You just created a murderer, the one thing you despise, I hope you’re proud of yourself.
John: *rethinks life choices*
His point in the movies is that in the traps, he always give them a way they can survive it. The only inescapable saw traps in the series were made by people other than John. That said.... its still really faulty logic thats even pointed out in the films themselves once or twice.
Pretty sure you didn’t watch the whole franchise to come to this conclusion. It was Amanda’s choice, not what John taught her to rig the game. She believes no one will ever change. The best and most fair examples is John’s first game from Jigsaw 2017
John has a god complex and sees himself above his own rules. As the films go on he starts punishing people for less and less grievous offences
Pretty good post to get put into a dynamite guillotine
I wonder what would happen if John caught a truly depressive person that just wants to die and tries to play a game with them, only to find out the person is (mildly) relieved to finally die (without being taken to a hospital last minute) and simply waits to put an end to their life. Would've made an interesting and also challenging plot I think.
I believe nothing would happen. The whole point is to weed the corrupted out so at the end he still wins. There would be no character development for Jigsaw.
you misunderstand. he never picks people that do harm to themselves. He picks people that show little regard for other people’s lives. that’s his modus operandi, that’s what the junkie did, thats what amanda was, that was everyone he personally picked
@@orestisgeorgatos6725 Judging from his cult, yeah. He identifies people who have no regard for the lives of others and then uses his game to break down their psyches and indoctrinate them. A number of folk dooo manage to survive without also developing the trauma responses that indoctrinate them into his cult, but those are often the people he keeps coming back to. What he claims as his purpose and what is actually his purpose are two very different things.
@@AuntieHauntieGamesi think he genuinely saw potential in amanda. don’t forget how disappointed he was in saw 3. He believes he’s doing good and wants his legacy of that to live on
@Orestis Georgatos not to um actually but in the barbed wire maze trap, jigsaw specifically makes a point that the man started cutting even tho he was privileged. Basically saying he has no reason to hurt himself.. but otherwise yeah you're completely correct 🩵
If I were in a Saw movie, I would try to figure out the least painful way to die rather then trying to survive

@@fexizp4272 so the 3 people that were in the traps that could’ve been saved were involved in the case of a murder. The murder victim was the son of the one being tested in the movie, and he has to choose whether or not to save the only witness to the act who refused to testify, letting the murderer have a lighter sentence, the judge, who only gave the murderer 6 months or something, and the murderer himself, who has been completely reformed and legitimately regrets everything regarding the murder. Hope that cleared it up :)
the best thing to do in this world is to just join the army
Literally, Jigsaw ranges from targeting murderers to people whose children have been murdered.
Do you mean Jeff? Neglecting his second kid after the death of his son
Or the girl in jigsaw? Who litteraly killed it and brought her husband to commit suicide?
Jeff as you might wanna recall was just a pawn for Lynn and Amanda, John just needed time for the pieces to come together, and the rest is history
@@JP-sae Forgive me, since I'm too chicken to actually watch it, but did he actually *neglect* his son or was he just emotionally more distant? There's a huge difference. Neglect means the child wasn't given what he needs like food or clean clothes. There's a big difference between that and simply being unable to connect due to grief.

Good idea but their summer seems longer than just 104 days🤔
Thought this was a Cinema Summary video 🗿
@great day I hope you get the worst few weeks ever
to be honest despite Jigsaw claiming to only hurt unworthy people the rules mat lays out is so restrictive. We are human beings and therefore fallible and able to do bad things. the rules are if you do anything bad whether or not its your fault you get capture. This selection is just unfair, you might as well pick random people off the street since everyone probably did something bad if you squint at it.
This is why jigsaws philosophy is flawed.
And that’s why he’s the bad guy in the movies
The only times I've seen him act differently to a trap is when he saves that doctor in jigsaw and the time he gets upset at Amanda for rigging a trap
I genuinely don't understood why some people are seemingly surprised that a serial killer's qualifications for who is 'ungrateful' are unfair, biased, and nonsensical. He's sick, both physically and mentally. He is the villain. Of course his viewpoint is flawed to the core.
I think that's kind if the point though. Having Jigsaw and his protege's see themselves as something more and worthy of judging others, for both real and perceived crimes, while also lacking that same insight into themselves and their own actions.
some of the traps made by Amanda were made to NOT be survivable but all the traps made by Kramer were made to be survivable, albeit BARELY
Jigsaw punishes you for being a "Terrible Person" by making you become one and killing a bunch of random strangers in a room you wake up in.

Edit: I meant he's safe, for clarification.
The biggest thing that has bugged me is in one of the later Saw movies, one of the victims is saved because at the last minute Jigsaw decided 'someone shouldn't be punished for a small mistake', he's full on watched people die for less...
Well, that was his first big challenge.
The main Saw 1 trap went wrong so I don't know, The rules were broken and the whole puzzle was thrown out of wack 😂
To be fair, chronologically, that was one of his first big traps, and the guy made a genuine mistake switching up his X-rays, unlike the majority of his 'victims' who acted with intent.
I mean he was unconscious because of jigsaw and that’s the small mistake
Are you talking about the movie "Jigsaw" that was the 8th installment? Where they had buckets on their heads and a guy was still unconscious from the sedative I guess he gives them all and the bucket was dragging him towards the saws? I'm pretty sure that's the one you're referring to. The reason John stopped that game was because he knew that guy wasn't going to wake up in time and would get clobbered by the blades. Now yes normally John might not care...but then again he may not matter what because the point of the game was to give them all a second chance. But in Logan's case (the guy with the bucket on his head) he stopped it not only because he was unconscious and couldn't fight for his survival but, he also realized Logan didn't even deserve to be there. He'd picked him out of anger because Logan was a Radiologist back then when John first started feeling 😊😊

Remember though Hoffman’s and Amanda made traps that weren’t suppose to be escaped, john made sure there was always a chance. Sometimes people forget that in the later films Hoffman messes with some of the traps which is shown in the 6th movie.
Very true
Shame those two just wanted to torture people. John's ideology was the best part of first movies. And then Hoffman just spent John's money on overconvoluted torture devices
Also, Amanda didn't understand that the people "deserved" to live after they fnished the test and was lectured about that by John.
I think the video should have included that the inescapable traps weren't designed by John Kramer, nor did they serve the intention he had. (I still think his ideology was flawed though)

@Swag Monke I think @Minecraft Monki is referring to the suicide attempt of John Kramer, wherein he derived inspiration for his death traps by pulling the pieces of the wrecked car he drove off a cliff after being diagnosed with cancer out of his body. He gained a newfound appreciation of life after the pain of surviving something that almost took his life, whereas everyone else is in traps specifically designed by Kramer.
In his twisted mind, he believes that they've killed themselves. That he, himself, didn't pull the trigger as it was only for what he deemed being unappreciative of your life that he "had to" kidnap them. Obviously we know that's insane, but so is Kramer.

Because there are countless evil people out there that Jiggy never even seems to consider targeting, probably because they are filthy stinking rich.
Me: forgets to water plants this morning
John Kramer: Bad News, Buddy!!!!!
I want to play a game

All your life you've been neglecting plants. What will you do when YOU are deprived of water?

FT: statistically you guys love horror films, you watch the heck out of these
Meanwhile I only watch the horror film theories because I'm too chicken to watch the actual movies
Hey Man... nice to see someone like me here
Weird
Don't watch at night,
Check out Dead Meat. That channel breaks down horror movies in a slightly comedic fashion.
I adore horror but I'm wimpy so I don't watch horror movies and only watch channels that talk about the creepy stuff and play horror games ;w;
Although, I have gotten better at handling horror over the years because of the stuff I watch so maybe I should try watching a horror movie just to see if I can handle it now lol

The way to survive saw: Be a perfect robot with no inconsistencies in your life at all
Oh no, but you were built by a corrupt person. Guess you gotta play a game
But robots can’t appreciate their life. You’ve spent too much time being anxious about traps, now you’re in a trap.
Jigsaw: you're only virtuous to avoid a game, not because it's the right way to live. Welcome to your game!!
@@BiggestPhangirl no winning! Yayyyyyyyy
You put someone out of a job, time to play a game.
I love this because it’s so simple in concept.

If I could pick any TH-camr to talk to for like an hour it would probably be Mat he just seems like a fun dude
4:52 The example used here isn’t perfect because Saw II makes sure to show that Daniel, Eric’s son, is a repeat offender who only stays out of prison because his dad is a corrupt cop who keeps begrudgingly bailing him out. This could be seen as Daniel “not appreciating his life” to Jigsaw and so might justify throwing him into the nerve gas house (in Jigsaw’s mind, not in a sane person’s head).
A better example is Saw VII when Bobby is lying about being a Jigsaw survivor to get rich, his wife, who doesn’t know he’s lying but is a good and supportive wife, gets kidnapped and used as bait for Bobby to go through the game and…. SPOILER ALERT…
… gets BURNED ALIVE for it!
Yeah that death infuriated me. Imagine dying in one of the most painful ways imaginable because you were a supportive spouse
