- In this video, I share what I eat in a day on Dr. Brooke Goldner’s Goodbye Lupus, raw vegan protocol
BREAKFAST RECIPE:
Raw Vegan Overnight Berry Breakfast
This quick and simple breakfast tastes like a combination of a berry pie filling with granola with a little bit of crumbled pie crust.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen sweet red cherries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup whole flax seeds
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
A few dashes of cocoa powder
Put the frozen berries in a large bowl, covered, in the refrigerator for 24 hours. When ready to eat, add the cinnamon to the bowl of defrosted berries and stir. Grind the flaxseeds so that they resemble flour and add ground flaxseeds to the berry cinnamon mixture to fully incorporate the dry and wet ingredients. Sprinkle a few shakes of *cocoa powder on top for a wonderful chocolatey flavor.
*I put cocoa powder in a spice jar with a lid that has small holes, so that only a fine sprinkling of cocoa powder is released with each shake.
LUNCH RECIPE:
Stuffed Purple Cabbage with Guacamole
(fully raw vegan recipe)
This Mexican inspired dish is satisfying and hearty. It’s my version of chips and dip.
I prefer purple cabbage over green cabbage because it has more nutrients and green cabbage can have an off-putting spicy flavor that can be overwhelming when eating a lot of it at once so purple cabbage is my cabbage of choice for this recipe.
Throw away any limp cabbage sections. Avoid the white core, discolored leaves and the extremely white thick “veins” as those are too difficult to break down. The crisp cabbage pieces are what’s best in this dish.
When using purple cabbage, discard any limp leaves/sections and only use the firmer, crunchy sections. To make a cabbage cup, cut off about ¼ of the end of the cabbage and use the outer leaves as your cups/chips.
Ingredients:
smashed avocado or guacamole
1/2 purple cabbage
Store-bought or homemade salsa (recipe below)
Optional add-ins: thinly sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, chopped red onions, hot sauce, Herb Vegan “Cheese” Dressing, thinly sliced red bell pepper strips or chopped red bell pepper.
Arrange cabbage cups or red bell pepper triangles on a large plate. Completely fill cabbage cups with guacamole and drizzle salsa on top. Serves 1
Raw Salsa
(fully raw vegan recipe)
You can buy premade salsa but some salsas contain olive oil, are cooked or pasteurized and may not be raw or fresh.
Spicy Salsa Ingredients:
1 cup grape tomatoes
Bunch of cilantro, washed and chopped
½ small red onion, diced
1 T freshly squeezed lime juice (1/4 of a lime)
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp chili powder
Dash chipotle powder
Dash cayenne powder
Place ingredients in a food processor and pulse to your desired consistency. My husband likes chunky salsa, whereas I prefer my salsa to be Pico de gallo, fresh and finely chopped. Store in small glass bowl covered. Keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours. Serves 2.
FLAX SAUSAGE:
4 T flax seeds, freshly ground into a powder
a few dashes of chipotle
dashes each of salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder
Mix flaxseed with seasonings. Eat a spoonful by itself and follow up right away with raw cruciferous vegetables, since it's sticky (it will stick to your teeth) and dry (the moist vegetables will help with digestion.
DINNER:
Raw Vegan Cucumber Noodle Salad
Ingredients:
3 cucumbers, peeled and made into noodles with a spiralizer
1 large, peeled carrot, made into noodles with a spiralizer
3 large kale leaves, stem removed, finely diced
¼ thinly sliced purple cabbage
1-2 tangerines, peeled, segments removed, or 1 chopped apple or pear
AFTER DINNER SNACK:
Raw Vegan Banana Pancakes
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of whole flaxseeds
2-inch ripe banana (use a ruler as any deviation changes consistency drastically)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Grind whole flaxseeds in a clean coffee grinder so that resembles a powder. Pour flaxseeds into a medium-sized bowl, add cinnamon and stir. With the tines of a fork mash the 2-ince piece of banana into the flaxseeds, repeatedly to bind it.
Gather the mixture into a ball by pinching it with your fingers, roll it into a ball with the palms of your hands and also flatten batter with your hands to make a pancake. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Really interesting to see someone do the Protocol without the smoothies
Shouldn’t there be a pound of greens?
@@liastewart9967 I believe the protocol is 1 pound of cruciferous veggies and/or greens combined. You don't need greens if you are eating minimum 1 lb. of cruciferous veggies. :)
Agree with Jennifer, it is 1 pound of any cruciferous veggies or greens total including spinach, swiss chard or kale in the list of things to get the total 1 lb. If you wanted to eat 1lb of broccoli and guacamole you could. That is what she did for years before getting to the smoothies in her journey. If it is easier for you to do a smoothie, go for it. Or do a combination. It's all great for us.
@@liastewart9967it doesn't have to be greens. 1lb raw dark leafy greens/cruciferous. Purple cabbage is cruciferous. It's good to measure to make sure you're getting at least 1 lb in total.
To slice red cabbage I use a mandolin on setting 1-it’s super thin and I add it to salads for a great color.
Your recipes are delicious . I was struggling with green smoothies too and didn’t think to deconstruct them and create something I could stomach. You have done that beautifully.
Thank you. I’ll be sharing more raw vegan recipes soon
I love that you eat the protocol without the smoothies...that's my preference, too! Thanks for sharing your yummy recipes :) xxx
You’re welcome! Thanks for writing. More raw vegan 🌱 recipes to come
You explained and demonstrated very clearly.
love the flax cookie idea. thanks.
Yum! Thank you so much for these, Nina!
These recipes look delicious! Thank you for sharing😊
These recipes look amazing!
Hi and thank you for sharing what you eat in a day. 😊❤
Thank you. So inspiring.
I Love ❤️ Doctor 👩🏽⚕️ Goldner …Thanks For Sharing …Much Love
I love these simple recipes. I definitely be trying these soon. I'll probably shred the cabbage instead of slicing thinly
Wow! Thank you so much Nina! Was looking for something like this to inspire me with Dr Goldner, I’m visual and doing this tutorial sure helped! Thanks again!❤
You’re welcome. I don’t know if I mentioned in this video that I reversed type 1 diabetes antibodies on her protocol
That all looks amazing! Makes me miss my raw vegan days. I can feel my body saying, "Yes please! Yes please!" 😊
That look so yummy and delicious
Wanna try out this lovely salad
These all look so delicious! I am going to have to try them all, thank you so much for giving us healing options ❤
You are welcome. More raw vegan 🌱 recipes to come, and I’ll be doing a live on strategies I use to stay on her raw vegan protocol on my other TH-cam channel Nina’s Nutrition & Wellness Videos
That pie filling looks delicious!
There's no pie filling recipe that I can recall on this video.
@@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo Maybe the frozen berries with flax?
I mixed the defrosted berries with 1/4 cup of ground flax seeds@@maryharrington8983
😋Cool food :)
Awesome video, thanks for the great ideas! Question, I just purchased the same coffee grinder, is the blade supposed to have a little wobble to it? Thanks!
My blade wobbles too and it grinds the flax seeds into the perfect powder and it’s lasted a long time. I clean it with soap and water and dry it with a paper towel right after using it so it doesn’t rust.
Hi Nina , please comment on how this has benefited you? I am looking into trying it out but it will be good to know it works ! Thanks
These recipes look amazing! What do you suggest for a dressing on rhe salad? A must for me! Rice vinegar with lemon juice? Something light
For a salad dressing, I will either use fruit to dress the salad, or I’ll use an oil free balsamic vinegar. On my blog, realdiethelp.com, on the right side if using a computer, or on an iPhone, scroll to the bottom, look for favorites, oil-free salad dressings, click on that and it will take you directly to California Balsamic oil-free vinegars. My favorite is the dill balsamic.
Maybe mash banana first then add flax, much easier & faster. Love flax. Definitely making this salad. Thanks!
I'll try adding the mashed banana first to see if it's easier. Thanks for the suggestion!
How about a food processor?
I use a Vitamix to blend most foods because it's easy to clean, but I also have a Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus that does an even better job@@face1647
Great video! 👍🏾
What about the Flax sausage?
I put all the details of the recipes in the comments
Add avocado so good
The last recipe has smashed and blended avocado 🥑 with salt 🧂
That is a big salad!!! Do you ever put salad dressing on your salad??? Bless you from Grandma Katie in Oregon
I only put fruit as dressing on my salads because the only salad dressings I like have nuts or seeds, which is not allowed on Dr. Goldner protocol because they are high in omega six fatty acids which can delay healing.

Wonderful. Are you interested in just the recipes or are you also interested in autoimmune reversal videos? I ask because I have another TH-cam channel dedicated to nutrition
Awesome! Did you eat the salad without dressing? Thanks for sharing your recipes, I needed inspiration to keep doing the protocol.
The fruit is my dressing
Hello thanks for sharing your recipes. Where exactly can we find recipes for the protocol? Not smoothies. I'm good with that
Dr G is supposed to have a cookbook out late December
Thank you so much
I knew about this protocol couple days ago and started today as I'm experiencing MS relapse
I eliminated all fruit's to have faster results
Do you have more videos on what to eat on this protocol?
And does the veggies have to be organic?
The food doesn't have to be organic, but organic is preferred. I'm going to have a LIVE Q&A on my other TH-cam channel Nina's Nutrition and Wellness Videos this Saturday at 3pm PST to answer questions about her raw protocol. Here's a video I created to simplify what to eat on Dr. Brooke Goldner's protocol: th-cam.com/video/qalGZHxwqQY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YOSzGjRHKpe44IF2
@@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideooooh thank you so much
Definitely will be on the live
I'm praying this protocol works for me to cure MS and reverse it completely
@@IAm-aQueen I hope so too. My dad died from MS so I want to help everyone so they don't go though what he went through. Starting today, if you haven't already, avoid all dairy products, to being healing.
I@@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo I'm so sorry for your loss 🙏
Yes I am vegan from 7 months now
No diary or sugar
And no gluten 😊
Get a bigger knife, 9" chef's, it will do the work for you; and use the part of the blade closer to the handle, left hand, curl your fingers so the knife hits your knuckles - that way the cutting edge is farther from your fingers holding the carrot. If you cut it lengthwise in half, it wont roll away. Bon appetit!
Also I noticed you mentioned VD supplement isn't good and we can have it from sun
How much time do we have to sit in the sun? And which time of the day is best?
Ten minutes in the sun each day without sunscreen may or may not be sufficient, depending on your skin color, time of year and where you live. Avoid direct sunlight at the hottest times of the day, usually from 11am - 2 pm. Lissa's Raw Vegan Romance has items she recommends on her Amazon account. You might want to try the vegan Vitamin D she uses if your Vitamin D level is below 20.
@@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideothank you so much 💜🙏
What knife do you use?
The knife I use to cut my fruit and vegetables is from J.A. Henckels knives
Would like to, but some of that would make me gag unfrortunately. What to do.......
There are some newer recipes that are raw vegan that you might like better on my plant-based vegan recipes channel
This looks delicious! But I do have to say it looks like very few calories
I entered all the food I ate into the Chronometer app which added up to 1700 cal. You can eat as much avocado 🥑 on her plan.
as someone who struggles to keep my weight above 92 pounds, I was thinking the same and avocado makes me puke… I have to blend it with something to disguise it
Plese do not peel so much a carrot. You loose vit B12 that is on the outside of the carrot. And cucumber is much better with his green part!!!
I love your take with the recipes but It doesn’t have the 1 pound of cruciferous vegetables or dark leafy greens and the 96 oz of water. The only part of the protocol you did was the omega 3… the greens/cruciferous vegetables are one of the most important. But what you ate was unbelievably healthy, so maybe it worked for you that way
It contains over a pound of cruciferous vegetables: the kale and red cabbage are both cruciferous. The flax cookies contain omega 3s. I’ll eat 2-4 flax cookies a day=1/2 - 1 cup flax. I drink water 💧 throughout the day and night so I’ve got that covered too
@@ninasnutritionandwellnessvideo in the rapid recovery she was very strict about packing the greens very tightly in the blender to make sure we were getting the right amount of greens. In your video the cabbage didn’t seem like a pound of cabbage? But maybe it was, I saw only a few leaves of kale in the video. I wasn’t successful with her protocol bc the seeds messed my stomach up bad but I’m looking for other ways to modify the protocol to work for me. Nice to see the protocol work using something other than a smoothie thanks for the inspiration
I find it very difficult to eat raw vegan because I have no teeth. And I can’t stand smoothies.
Can you get dentures? I have a raw oatmeal recipe coming soon that you might like.
Y not leave the skin on its nourishing.
What are you referring to by “leave skin on.”
Those are frozen! The vitamins and minerals are gonner!
That’s not true. Even cooking food does not eliminate the vitamins and minerals, although cooking can reduce them. Fruit smoothies are a healthy option
That’s not true. Even cooking food does not eliminate the vitamins and minerals, although cooking can reduce them. Fruit smoothies are a healthy option
You can throw them away, for only on fresh produce can you still find vitamines and minerals; not on cooked "soggy" foods!@@NinasExerciseVideos
What is your reliable source that states that there are no vitamins or minerals in frozen plant foods? When plant foods are cooked some of the nutrients are released into the air, which is what we smell when they are cooked so if frozen foods are eaten, where do the the nutrients go?@
Use ur cocote! dear!@@NinasExerciseVideos
OmG, if I would eat that much flax seed, I would be so constipated!!!!! . Beware of the amount of those seeds you put in your food. They expand in your colon and if you do not drink enough, the consequences are not very nice. Also seeds have a lot of fat as well. A little goes a long way.
Flax have lots of fiber. I drink about 90 oz of water a day and am never constipated. I was initially worried about all the fat in flax seeds but Dr Goldner explains that they attach to cells, are high in omega three healthy fats, and are healing. I reversed anemia and Type 1 diabetes on her high fat, raw vegan 🌱 protocol.
Tons of fat though
I was worried about eating so much fat from avocado 🥑 and flax seeds so I got my cholesterol rechecked after 5 months of eating this way, and my cholesterol did not go up, and I reversed hives, anemia and Type-1 diabetes antibodies.
