The Chef gave you a crap ton of Dishes then taught you how to make your own amazing dish. Making your own game isn't mandatory by any means in this game.
I never thought of DIY type of games as like restaurants where you make your own meal. Then again, I'm as lazy as Derek. I like to think of it more as a buffet, where I get to play everyone else's fun little ideas.
Oy, Little Big Planet, I used to love this series....but the more I played with the level creator I found my ambition outweighed my skill but more importantly outweighed that level size limit. Frankly I've always wanted to create levels on par with the levels in the story campaign, these big huge epic treks through imaginative worlds with enemies, platforming obstacles and bosses. But just when I was finally onto something I really wanted, bam, thermometer fills up all the way and I either have to dumb shit down or just cut shit out entirely. It got so discouraging I just ended up putting the game down, no limits to imagination my tail pipe....
Terry Jones that's the main reason they made the level links in LBP2. it still interrupts the flow and I really wish they'd allow you to make really long but vertically short levels instead of confining you to a square box the whole time. basically the main reason I became jaded with the idea is that THEY TAKE SO MUCH FREAKING TIME to do well. hours, days, MONTHS of your life just for a 2-minute level like you would be lucky for 10 people to play. meanwhile some asian kid or stay at home dad will make something a thousand times better and pump it out every 1-2 months. like why even bother with it besides screwing around for the sake of fun really?
The reviewer seemed almost hostile towards people wanting to be creative and make levels in the game. He kept going back to it. Like okay dude, we get it. But move on to your next point.
>Says you can play this how you want so stop judging me >Spends half the review telling people their wrong for wanting to create instead of the devs making it full game
I just play people's mods on the game. I don't get why he was complaining about creating levels, during half of the review, when the game doesn't even make you do it.
Lbp2 kept it simple but also gave you enough tools to make almost anything! Lbp3 would be my favourite if it wasn't a buggy fucking mess (at least on PS4)
The load times and unskippable cutscenes ruined this game for me. As a fan of the other two games, I pretty much just left this one collect dust after a while. It was too much of a chore to try co-op and wait constantly for characters to talk to me over and over if I died.
Completely forgot about lbp3 I was thinking of getting lbg or Rayman legends for my ps4. It needs games that are not fps. Please reply with some recommendations?
soap dropper It was still an amazing game and looked great on the ps4 imo. I had fun with it, in fact, since the ps3 version does exist it give ps3 owners a chance to build levels that can be played on ps4 as well which means more levels.
***** Is it a stable 30FPS or does it dip alot? I can handle 30 but if it dips to like 15 FPS or something I think I'll pass, I'm a PC gamer you see, so I'm used to a constant 60-40 FPS :/
It would have been a better game if they only focused on making the PS4 version... The time they spent creating it for the PS3 could have been spent sorting out all of the problems on the PS4 version (like the loading screens and online lag still present after all these years...).
This game was a massive disappointment. It had such potential, and they completely fucked it up by making it way too short & releasing it full of glitches.
OMG BeCkY it looks absolutely nothing compared to LBP karting. dear god that was some of the worst 60 bucks I ever wasted, it was free on PS plus like FOUR MONTHS LATER.
Yea, Karting was a disappointment too. It never feels like you're fully in control of the karts in that game...almost like they're steering themselves. Very little is left to skill in that game. I knew not to buy it after playing the beta.

Terry Jones lbp3 has unlimited creation space

Thank you . it was fucking annoying .

The fact of there being these new sack creatures eliminates the Sack Boy as being this universal vessel to carry us through the various worlds of LBP.
I feel like Derek would like the new sackboy game.
tell that to the hundreds of self-service restaurantes, the ''make your own pizza'' places, etc
***** *more like hundreds of millions, actually
***** in the whole world? of course there are
***** Doubt it. There are only 35 000 Mcdonald's in the world
***** there's one in every city or town I've ever been to. whatever, that obviously wasn't the point.
***** Every town and city you've ever been to? Something tells me you haven't visited that many towns.
combined with the other CGR how big is your game collections??
so the basic plaforming mechanics are done well or everything around it is done well?
I miss the simplicity of lbp .... I got tired of lbp I had 1,2,and 3.... My favorite one was lbp1
.

Previous gen held this game back
Bs the only thing held back is how narrow minded Sony gamers have become and only want mature games that sell with blood and gore
soap dropper How so? I'm curious, since I've never played this game.

this game can be considered long if you count downloaded levels.
Oh man, you'd hate the project I'm working on. I'm developing a platform for users who are both developers and gamers at the same time.
Yeah, the story mode is absolutely fantastic. Its a shame its a bit on the short side.
The graphics are really good for the PS3! :3 hows the frame rate tho? :v

***** Hm, I'll look for it cheap... :3
***** Nah, I played LBP 1 back on the PS3 when I was about 9 or 10, I'm 16 now and I've since moved onto PC
Is this game even worth buying again? I had it on PS4, then my PS4 broke. But I have PS3, worth buying?
Why are you angry all the time are you 5
Why dont you have a ps4?
Tobias Steenhuis I was wondering that too.
I wanna see Derek's review of Mario Maker when it comes out, probably will be his first bad Nintendo review..
It would have been a better game if they only focused on making the PS4 version... The time they spent creating it for the PS3 could have been spent sorting out all of the problems on the PS4 version (like the loading screens and online lag still present after all these years...).
I’m really glad you enjoy this game. Everybody else hates it
I bet you'll love Mario Maker
Seems like this game came in under the radar. Wonder what happened.
hey didn't this dude use to be the one annoying intern on Opie and Anthony?
it is worth being just know that cause it happen to me
you're awesome !
This game was a massive disappointment. It had such potential, and they completely fucked it up by making it way too short & releasing it full of glitches.
OMG BeCkY Have they been fixed? I was waiting until they fixed them, then it eventually fell off my radar.
guerreroums No idea…I played hot potato with that thing & got my money back on eBay!
OMG BeCkY it looks absolutely nothing compared to LBP karting. dear god that was some of the worst 60 bucks I ever wasted, it was free on PS plus like FOUR MONTHS LATER.
guerreroums Sony never even fixed LBP2. LBP3 is probably going to stay broken.
When Mm left, the franchise died.
