I need to point out that when the PS3 first came out, Blu-Ray and 1080P were new to consumers. At the time, a name brand Blu-Ray player could cost anywhere between $400 to $600. It made sense, at the time, to purchase a system that was a next generation gaming machine and a next generation Blu-Ray player that could handle the latest and greatest in AV technology.
The PS3 was ahead of its time in the same way as the PS2. But the ps3 dumbed down to reduce costs and the ps4 was born from that philosophy. Too sad the ps5 is a absurdly overpriced PC.

If you want to save money on ps5 buy the digital model, wait for a used console, or wait for a PS5 slim that will be cheaper most likely in time. I'm personally waiting for a PS5 pro, but if that doesn't come then maybe the slim model.

Its more than 5 months of work on minimum wage. That means if you have no expenses, you have to work at least 5 months, 40 hours per week to pay for the console. If its not expensive, i dont know what are. Besides, the PS5 cant do anything else a PC can, and you still have to pay to play online, have to keep it conected to the internet for patched and downloads, its nothing like a console should be. Thats why i say its an over priced PC with hardware limitations.

So yes, a PS5 is an overpriced PC with alot less features; in any place you go. As far as i know, you cant overclock your PS5 and run it on linux to do daily routines.
Had to sell all of my PS3 games because I needed the money (46 in total) I refused to sell the console and gave it to my 8 year old son as a gift when I got my PS4. I'm still sad that i had to sell my library of games.

Two fact corrections: The 12GB superslim PS3 has that storage as solidstate on board, so the drivebay is empty, you can just pop your own 2,5" drive in there. Even if the drive cage is missing its easy to fit there without it. The 12GB then gets disabled. Also, the Sixaxis is only missing the rumble. It does have tilt/motionsensors, so youré not really missing any functionality. Also the Sixaxis is lighter, some people prefer that.
Hey Metal Jesus. I just fixed my fat model CECHA01 model PS3 the other day. I watched some TH-cam videos and read a bunch of articles about the problems with the original PS3 models, and I am able to report that I brought my Yellow Light of Death PS3 CECHA01 back to life the other day. I have never felt so accomplished... lol. Anyway just letting you know and the folks watching that the old PS3 is fixable, BUT it does take a little no-how that ANYBODY can learn to do. And the cool thing is that once you replace the capacitors on the PS3 then you essentially have a full-proof fix that should last you a long time. I cleaned mine inside and out and have it on display as it's my favorite console of all and I'm 35 years old... I think the original PS3 is really special with the PS2 hardware built right onto the same motherboard and you basically have 3 generations of PlayStation games playable on a single console. That's really special. So in short don't throw your "broken" PS3s away! With a little time (and a little money for a soldering iron and some new capacitors) you can bring your old console back to life and still get years of use out of it.
Swapping out the hard drive for the SSD is a n absolute 'gamechanger' for load times and it's super easy being user swappable. Highly highly recommend.

I graduated HS in 2007. Then I got my first job and bought a PS3. For a long time my PS3 only served the purpose of playing Oblivion and PS2 games. Now I have over 200 games for PS3 and I'm considering buying a second console to put in another room. Love the PS3.
I got my PS3 in 2009 and only played Oblivion and Resistance 2 for over a year. Eventually got a 320g slim and still have it with about 20-25 games. It’s my favorite console to date. I think in a year or two the Switch will replace it, but right now PS3 reigns supreme in my mind.
If you like PlayStation. Get the ps4. OR just start saving Now and get ps5. Then you'll have tons of cheap ps4 games to play(which will most likely be backwards compatible) plus brand new shit
But in all honesty. Xbox is better, also a viable option you can get cheap. Plus you have subcritpion based game pass which is LOADED with good games. And bad ones. EA access, loaded with great games. Sports games, old classics.
I bought a Super Slim PS3 about a year ago, practically brand new in box with 12 games, 3 controllers, everything like new, hardly played by previous owner. I really love that it's so light. It's my favorite model of all PS3's. BUT I did not know that ALL PS3's play PS1 games! Wow. Mind blown! Thanks for the video and info! MJR and Kelsey, you kick ass!!

One accessory that may have been limited to certain markets was the PlayTV (the Playstation remote was helpful for this). Essentially allowed you to watch free to air TV on the PS3 and turned it into a DVR. Twin tuners allowed you to watch and record simultaneously. I still use one today. The console is also good for playing back network media. I use it to watch movies from my NAS. Also has support for Netflix, TH-cam, etc. So was a good media player for its time as well. Replaced the HDD in my PS3 with an SSD as well which gave it a little performance boost. Have had to pull it apart a couple times over the years and give it a proper clean though (original thick console) as they do collect a lot of dust and get rather loud after a while.
Picked up a PS3 Slim Scarlet Red edition for £50 last week. Gonna play all your suggestions. Its the perfect time for the ps3. Games are cheap because its not "retro" yet and the games are still semi modern to look at.
I don't think the PS3 will become a true retro console probably until the PS5 is released. Maybe even a couple years in. Same thing happened with the PS2.
The first 2 models with the 4 USB ports are the only ones to have ... the slims look like garbage imo. They can be purchased for under $50 as well. These two have no idea what they’re talking about lol

Up until half the slim models can be jailbroken and will launch PS2 games off HD. Slim will take a 1TB internal (I've heard 1.5TB may work) and then also can plugin a pair of 2TB Drives in the 2 USB ports

Playstation controller is probably one of my favorite controller designs ever. I remember going from a super nintendo to a Playstation back in the day and being amazed how comfortable the controller is.
Just picked up a brand new 160gb slim ps3 last week. Older couple was selling for their daughter who was moving out. She won it in a raffle few years ago but already had a ps3 at the time so, just left this one in the box stored away. Got it for $75. Couldn’t be more excited. Still considering a bc ps3 but i’m hyped to get this one brand new at that price. Everything works perfectly fine as it should after years of just sitting around.

I've had a PS4 for about a year now. Yeah there are some good games on it, mainly Spider-Man, Spyro, Sonic Mania, Batman Arkham Knight, and Just Cause 3. But honestly a lot of them are just so full of themselves. God of War 4? fight the same boss with a different color like 10 times while an irritating kid screams random ass shit at you. Wow, brilliant 10/10 -.- RDR2? Want to chop wood, pet your horse, ride across the map, then go all the way back, have 10 minute long cut scenes for a 2 minute missions, and still not have 5% done? Yeah, no thanks. I play my ps2/ps3 more than ps4. I'd honestly save up for a switch if I was you.

You need the Dualshock 3 controller to play No More Heros on PS3. It does not start when a regular Sixaxis Controller is connected. It is because you have to shake the controller to reload the Sword. Maybe there are other games that require the controller, but this one is the only one I know.
It was a bug, a there is a workaround to make this game start with sixaxis. Why would it be because you have to shake it? Both controllers support motion controls.

I actually think RDR2 made me appreciate RDR1 more. Not because RDR1 is a better game by any means but RDR2 is a prequel so we actually get to see just about everything John, Dutch, Bill, Javier, Uncle, Abigail and Jack went through.
I recommend the Super Slim PS3 because you don't have to worry about annoying slot-loading disc drives eating up your discs. Top-loaders rock! And by the way, the Super Slim PS3 does have an eject button on it, meaning you can use it to open the slide-open/slide-shut disc cover without having to open it by hand. And one more thing: the Super Slim PS3 comes in 12 GB, 250 GB and 500 GB.

I miss the ps3. I highly recommend DEAD SPACE for those that haven’t played. That one is by far my favorite PS3 game. Platinum Trophy within a few months. The most fun I’ve had during my PS3 days.

As much as I loved my Xbox 360, the PS3 was my main one this generation! It was finally the console which got me back into video games and hardcore collecting!

@@Tanzu15 bro I was much older than you when the PS3 came out, so I technically have no nostalgia to the 360/Wii/PS3 7th Gen, my nostalgia is mainly Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Nintendo Game Boy, PS1, N64 & Sega Dreamcast, so 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Gens... and even I still recognised how awesome the PS3 and 7th gen was! Use to rush home from work in my car to play my PS3, and I've still got my OG 60GB backward compatible PS3 hooked up to this day.
What I didn't like about the trigger buttons on the DS3 controller is that they curved outward rather than inward so there was nothing securing your finger on it, making it easy for your finger to slide right off of it. The 360 controller was curved inward, making your finger a lot more secure. It felt more like an actual trigger on a firearm too in a way. Good for a little extra immersion in games like Black Ops.
I bought one of the original PS3's at a garage sale (the MGS4 bundle with an 80 GB HDD). It was working perfectly and although it is very loud you can keep it a bit cooler by standing it on its side or elevating the entire console from underneath. After slapping in a 250 GB HDD, I have had 0 problems and am enjoying how cheap PS3 games are these days! (I bought Uncharted 3 from game stop for $1!!!!!!!)
In 2022 one thing has to be added: Be careful if you want to buy PS3 controllers. There are more fake controllers than original ones out there. The fake ones are very bad. I got one from ebay and due to very bad sticks most games were unplayable for me. They look like original ones but work much worse. The Dualshock 3 is probably the most copied controller ever made. It is really difficult to find the real ones online so be careful and ask the seller.
My job is working at an online game store where I just receive systems & test them all day. The fat version has issues with power & ejecting. The super slim is by far the worst with hard-drives failing about 25% of the time. The normal slim is by far the best. In the last year I have only had issues with one. The original Xbox 360 is garbage and is broken 50% of the time. Just stating facts.
That's good to know. ..... I should really open my PS3 Slim and clean the accumulated dust.... the fan goes full speed a little too quickly (after a couple minutes inside a game).
it's a shame the original 360 reliability is terrible, I had one that red ringed. The Original PS3 is dodgy too lots of people say it never lasted 12 months, which is a shame the original PS3 is the best every aspect. I only have a Slim updated the HD 1TB. Won't touch a Super slim in a million years.
I had the Fat version with PS2 Backwards Compatibility and it had the most hard drive stalls and died not long after I started playing Last of Us with YLOD, I had it for 2 weeks. My friends have had 2 normal slims and both the CD drives died in them very quickly. I bought a Super Slim and I haven't had a single problem apart from the odd crash on the PlayStation Store, and I know I wont have any trouble getting my disks back if the console dies. That's my experience anyway.
+Sython6 guess it's pot luck as there is probably original 360 users who never had problems. I guess it really depends on vary of factors. I've only had my PS3 Slim a year, got the PS4 this year. Will be upset if anything happens to my PS3 but at least I can reuse the accessories and potentially my HDD. I have a special edition PS4 and I will be utterly devastated if that goes wrong. I don't mind stock items but specials are irreplaceable. I am glad to hear your Super Slim is hassle free though, my PS3 crashes often either on games or on the store. Sometimes I've just got to be a patient with it.
Yup! That's why I always wait for 2nd and 3rd generation consoles to come out before buying. Original Xbox, original 360 and fat ps3 are all good reasons to wait.
Mine doesn't have voices in cutscenes.. And no commentary sound in fifa for example. It freezes sometimes in battlefield 3.. What could it be with the no voices sound and shit??
I still have a phat PS3. It's actually the last console I ever purchased. I really love the first two Infamous games, and other PS# exclusives. I put a 750 GB HD in mine, I have a lot of games I bought at stores, but I have even more I got from the PS3 Store.

Weirdly enough I was trying to do research on this console on the GameStop App. The First PlayStation my brother owned was the original Grey PS1 Gifted to him over 8 Years Ago. The servers may be partially fucked, but at least you can level-up to max level easily and ay with other people in the overworld (not really any people playing in organised matches, sadly.... for that you mainly have to organise matches with other people).
There were a ton of games that were amazing. Skate, Burnout Paradise, NBA Street, NFL Blitz, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Bayonetta, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, SSX, Tekken 6, Batman series and Naruto Ultimate series... This console had a LOT of good games!
PS3 was the love of my life for years and years. My first PS3 was the original backwards compatible 80 gig which eventually got stolen by a "friend" I eventually replaced it with the 500 gig super slim. I loved my first console but space was an issue. My 500 gig is chalk full of games, tv shows and still has like 200 gigs left
had my ps3 slim since summer of 2011 and it is literally still working like its new. no loud sounds, games always work, internet speed is more than decent. fuckin love it my ps3
Man I had an epic time playing Heavy Rain on the PS Move controller. That game at the time blew my mind. Surprised you guys didn't mention that as 1 of the games for the move because it fit so well with the quick motions you needed to make in real time. Made me so immersed in the story

I'm with Kelsey, I never cared much for the size of the PS3 controller. I think of the handles would have been made longer like the PS4 controllers it would have been more comfortable. To resolve that I bought Nyko wired controllers and they have the perfect feeling controller. Not the best when it comes to quality and durability, but best feeling overall.

+Daniel Haarti I bought on eBay F1 2012 and the season pass include with the game is region locked, the code inside the game was for a specific region and I needed to create a new account in Hong Kong to redeem the code and play online. In the back of the case there is a small icon with a number and the number determine the region. You can play the game in all countries but they add that restriction to the season pass. I don't know where the seller got that game.

Why didn't you mention that fat version A, B and E were all backwards compatible models? E was the newest with 2 USBs so it doesn't stand out to the originals A and B. This HAS TO DO with the 'blue' laser head (the Blu-Ray laser head) and the standard 'red' laser head. You can take this knowledge and look at ANY OPTICAL DRIVE and see if it is both compatible with blue ray discs and CD/DVDs. Btw PS3 had such a high launch-price because it was a LOSS LEADER by Sony, being on average they were around $800-1000 to manufacture and on average had 1 out of 3 units failing from manufacture; This also speaks for why they are known for overheating
BTW if you're going to talk about the controllers, you DID NOT MENTION the main issues with "6 axis controllers". She stated that not all controllers are the same and this is one of the biggest issues with PlayStation 3

Personally my favorite PS3 is the third iteration: The Super Slim PS3. It's design is a throwback to the phatboy PLAYSTATION 3 and the PS2 with those ridges and that off-center/ asymmetrical design. Also I think that drive door will last a lot longer than the slot-loading Drive on the Slim PS3 and the Phatboy PLAYSTATION 3.
I agree about the super slim. I see so many Slims with the slot loading drive gone bad on craigslist and facebook marketplace. Less mechanisms in a console you want to hold on to the better.
Ps3 is definitely worth collecting for right now; there are some cinematic masterpieces that are exclusive to playstation 3 (compared to Xbox 360) that are SO worth picking up! The Last of Us is still one of the best games I've ever played.
Ps3 is my favorite console of all time. It had built in wifi, bluray when it was new, free online, PlayStation home and the best exclusives ever imo. God of war 3, little big planet 1 & 2, the uncharted series and the last of us.
I recently bought an 80GB model from a guy at work (CECHLxx I think) with 12 games all for $90. I mainly wanted it for the bluray and media player (TH-cam, Netflix, Amazon Video and the like). Works great.

I prefer the heavier DualShock 3, the Sixaxxis with it being so light felt like a cheap controller to me.
This video inspired me, I went on Craigslist and found a second generation slim PS3 W/30 games for $75. Talk about bang for the buck!

And the cool thing is that once you replace the capacitors on the PS3 then you essentially have a full-proof fix that should last you a long time. I cleaned mine inside and out and have it on display as it's my favorite console of all and I'm 35 years old... I think the original PS3 is really special with the PS2 hardware built right onto the same motherboard and you basically have 3 generations of PlayStation games playable on a single console. That's really special.
So in short don't throw your "broken" PS3s away! With a little time (and a little money for a soldering iron and some new capacitors) you can bring your old console back to life and still get years of use out of it.

I graduated HS in 2007. Then I got my first job and bought a PS3. For a long time my PS3 only served the purpose of playing Oblivion and PS2 games. Now I have over 200 games for PS3 and I'm considering buying a second console to put in another room. Love the PS3.
I got my PS3 in 2009 and only played Oblivion and Resistance 2 for over a year. Eventually got a 320g slim and still have it with about 20-25 games. It’s my favorite console to date. I think in a year or two the Switch will replace it, but right now PS3 reigns supreme in my mind.

But in all honesty. Xbox is better, also a viable option you can get cheap. Plus you have subcritpion based game pass which is LOADED with good games. And bad ones. EA access, loaded with great games. Sports games, old classics.
I bought a Super Slim PS3 about a year ago, practically brand new in box with 12 games, 3 controllers, everything like new, hardly played by previous owner. I really love that it's so light. I waiting a long time to buy a PS3 too. Bought one yesterday.
One accessory that may have been limited to certain markets was the PlayTV (the Playstation remote was helpful for this). Essentially allowed you to watch free to air TV on the PS3 and turned it into a DVR. Twin tuners allowed you to watch and record simultaneously. I still use one today.
The console is also good for playing back network media. I use it to watch movies from my NAS. Also has support for Netflix, TH-cam, etc. So was a good media player for its time as well.
Replaced the HDD in my PS3 with an SSD as well which gave it a little performance boost.
Have had to pull it apart a couple times over the years and give it a proper clean though (original thick console) as they do collect a lot of dust and get rather loud after a while.

Picked up a PS3 Slim Scarlet Red edition for £50 last week. Gonna play all your suggestions. Its the perfect time for the ps3. Games are cheap because its not "retro" yet and the games are still semi modern to look at.
I don't think the PS3 will become a true retro console probably until the PS5 is released. Maybe even a couple years in. Same thing happened with the PS2.

Up until half the slim models can be jailbroken and will launch PS2 games off HD.
Slim will take a 1TB internal (I've heard 1.5TB may work) and then also can plugin a pair of 2TB Drives in the 2 USB ports

Playstation controller is probably one of my favorite controller designs ever. I remember going from a super nintendo to a Playstation back in the day and being amazed how comfortable the controller is.
Just picked up a brand new 160gb slim ps3 last week. Older couple was selling for their daughter who was moving out. She won it in a raffle few years ago but already had a ps3 at the time so, just left this one in the box stored away. Got it for $75. Couldn’t be more excited. You need the Dualshock 3 controller to play No More Heros on PS3. It does not start when a regular Sixaxis Controller is connected. It is because you have to shake the controller to reload the Sword. Maybe there are other games that require the controller, but this one is the only one I know.
It was a bug, a there is a workaround to make this game start with sixaxis. Why would it be because you have to shake it? Both controllers support motion controls.

I recommend the Super Slim PS3 because you don't have to worry about annoying slot-loading disc drives eating up your discs. Top-loaders rock! And by the way, the Super Slim PS3 does have an eject button on it, meaning you can use it to open the slide-open/slide-shut disc cover without having to open it by hand. And one more thing: the Super Slim PS3 comes in 12 GB, 250 GB and 500 GB.

I miss the ps3. I highly recommend DEAD SPACE for those that haven’t played. That one is by far my favorite PS3 game. Platinum Trophy within a few months. The most fun I’ve had during my PS3 days.

Use to rush home from work in my car to play my PS3, and I've still got my OG 60GB backward compatible PS3 hooked up to this day.

What I didn't like about the trigger buttons on the DS3 controller is that they curved outward rather than inward so there was nothing securing your finger on it, making it easy for your finger to slide right off of it. The 360 controller was curved inward, making your finger a lot more secure. It felt more like an actual trigger on a firearm too in a way. Good for a little extra immersion in games like Black Ops.
I bought one of the original PS3's at a garage sale (the MGS4 bundle with an 80 GB HDD). It was working perfectly and although it is very loud you can keep it a bit cooler by standing it on its side or elevating the entire console from underneath. After slapping in a 250 GB HDD, I have had 0 problems and am enjoying how cheap PS3 games are these days! (I bought Uncharted 3 from game stop for $1!!!!!!!)

In 2022 one thing has to be added: Be careful if you want to buy PS3 controllers. There are more fake controllers than original ones out there. The fake ones are very bad. I got one from ebay and due to very bad sticks most games were unplayable for me. They look like original ones but work much worse. The Dualshock 3 is probably the most copied controller ever made.
It is really difficult to find the real ones online so be careful and ask the seller.

My job is working at an online game store where I just receive systems & test them all day. The fat version has issues with power & ejecting. The super slim is by far the worst with hard-drives failing about 25% of the time. The normal slim is by far the best. In the last year I have only had issues with one. The original Xbox 360 is garbage and is broken 50% of the time. Just stating facts.
That's good to know. ..... I should really open my PS3 Slim and clean the accumulated dust.... the fan goes full speed a little too quickly (after a couple minutes inside a game).
it's a shame the original 360 reliability is terrible, I had one that red ringed. The Original PS3 is dodgy too lots of people say it never lasted 12 months, which is a shame the original PS3 is the best every aspect. I only have a Slim updated the HD 1TB. Won't touch a Super slim in a million years.
I had the Fat version with PS2 Backwards Compatibility and it had the most hard drive stalls and died not long after I started playing Last of Us with YLOD, I had it for 2 weeks. My friends have had 2 normal slims and both the CD drives died in them very quickly. I bought a Super Slim and I haven't had a single problem apart from the odd crash on the PlayStation Store, and I know I wont have any trouble getting my disks back if the console dies.
That's my experience anyway.
+Sython6 guess it's pot luck as there is probably original 360 users who never had problems. I guess it really depends on vary of factors. I've only had my PS3 Slim a year, got the PS4 this year. Will be upset if anything happens to my PS3 but at least I can reuse the accessories and potentially my HDD. I have a special edition PS4 and I will be utterly devastated if that goes wrong. I don't mind stock items but specials are irreplaceable. I am glad to hear your Super Slim is hassle free though, my PS3 crashes often either on games or on the store. Sometimes I've just got to be a patient with it.

The servers may be partially fucked, but at least you can level-up to max level easily and ay with other people in the overworld (not really any people playing in organised matches, sadly.... for that you mainly have to organise matches with other people).
There were a ton of games that were amazing. Skate, Burnout Paradise, NBA Street, NFL Blitz, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Bayonetta, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, SSX, Tekken 6, Batman series and Naruto Ultimate series... This console had a LOT of good games!

PS3 was the love of my life for years and years. My first PS3 was the original backwards compatible 80 gig which eventually got stolen by a "friend" I eventually replaced it with the 500 gig super slim. I loved my first console but space was an issue. My 500 gig is chalk full of games, tv shows and still has like 200 gigs left

Man I had an epic time playing Heavy Rain on the PS Move controller. That game at the time blew my mind. Surprised you guys didn't mention that as 1 of the games for the move because it fit so well with the quick motions you needed to make in real time. Made me so immersed in the story

Wipeout HD! (and the Fury expansion pack) - that game really showcased the PS3's graphics capability with its super-smooth framerate. I still love playing it.
I'm with Kelsey, I never cared much for the size of the PS3 controller. I think of the handles would have been made longer like the PS4 controllers it would have been more comfortable. To resolve that I bought Nyko wired controllers and they have the perfect feeling controller. Not the best when it comes to quality and durability, but best feeling overall.

+Daniel Haarti I bought on eBay F1 2012 and the season pass include with the game is region locked, the code inside the game was for a specific region and I needed to create a new account in Hong Kong to redeem the code and play online. In the back of the case there is a small icon with a number and the number determine the region. You can play the game in all countries but they add that restriction to the season pass. I don't know where the seller got that game.

Why didn't you mention that fat version A, B and E were all backwards compatible models? E was the newest with 2 USBs so it doesn't stand out to the originals A and B. This HAS TO DO with the 'blue' laser head (the Blu-Ray laser head) and the standard 'red' laser head. You can take this knowledge and look at ANY OPTICAL DRIVE and see if it is both compatible with blue ray discs and CD/DVDs.
Btw PS3 had such a high launch-price because it was a LOSS LEADER by Sony, being on average they were around $800-1000 to manufacture and on average had 1 out of 3 units failing from manufacture; This also speaks for why they are known for overheating
BTW if you're going to talk about the controllers, you DID NOT MENTION the main issues with "6 axis controllers". She stated that not all controllers are the same and this is one of the biggest issues with PlayStation 3

The first gen is very sought after because its can play PS2 games over HDMI natively. No emulators no converters or up scalers

Personally my favorite PS3 is the third iteration: The Super Slim PS3. It's design is a throwback to the phatboy PLAYSTATION 3 and the PS2 with those ridges and that off-center/ asymmetrical design. Also I think that drive door will last a lot longer than the slot-loading Drive on the Slim PS3 and the Phatboy PLAYSTATION 3.

I agree about the super slim. I see so many Slims with the slot loading drive gone bad on craigslist and facebook marketplace. Less mechanisms in a console you want to hold on to the better.
The only thing I like about the third iteration is your disk will never get stuck
I actually really like the move. Sports champions is great fun with friends. I still have mine and still play it quite a bit
2021 I’m still buying and playing PS3 games. I’m definitely gonna look for a first gen PS3 for the ps2 games
Ps3 is definitely worth collecting for right now; there are some cinematic masterpieces that are exclusive to playstation 3 (compared to Xbox 360) that are SO worth picking up! The Last of Us is still one of the best games I've ever played.
Yeah but you're better off getting that game on the PS4.
Ps3 is my favorite console of all time. It had built in wifi, bluray when it was new, free online, PlayStation home and the best exclusives ever imo. God of war 3, little big planet 1 & 2, the uncharted series and the last of us.

I recently bought an 80GB model from a guy at work (CECHLxx I think) with 12 games all for $90. I mainly wanted it for the bluray and media player (TH-cam, Netflix, Amazon Video and the like). Works great.

UnlimitedProduction1 I've the same model, I love it too. The original looks nice its just huge. The Super Slim is just arwful though.
+Jonathan Maughan I couldn't agree more. The super slim looks cheap and ugly. The fact you have to manually close the disc tray just seemed lazy to me.
UnlimitedProduction1 its apparently like that due to all the disk drive failures, which is crap as the ps4 is load drive like the Original and slim.
