I actually love LBP3, It's one of my favourite games of all time. I never really suffered from bugs since I didn't try to play online. I loved the gameplay and found it really fun
I was introduced to LBP3 in 2016-2017 Me and my friend played on his PS4 for hours. We never had any issues with the game so we had a great experience. Unfortunately the PS4 had broke so all our data was lost on that account.
I agree. I grew up playing it so right now I’m looking through the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia but honestly I don’t care. I love little big planet, I didn’t get it the day it came out but I got it a few years after it had already been out and it was awesome! I never ran into the File corrupt error, of course bugs would happen but very rarely. I recently I had a friend over and we were playing together and I actually had a lot of fun. I understand this game was a lot like fallout 76 to people, but I think the main difference is, everytime I try and beat the last main mission for fallout 76 my game crashes and I have the start over from the beginning. I’ve beaten little big planet more than five times with only experiencing minor bugs. It’s really ashamed this game is as made terribly when it first came out because their’s so much potential to come out of it. I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with me, and rightfully so but just hear me out. Little bit planet 3 was my first experience into this wonderful sires. Without it, I wouldn’t have discovered LBP 1 or 2 and I have 3 to thank for that. So all in all, I had a pretty great experience playing little big planet 3.
I’ve played LBP since I was 12 and now I’m 20. I will forever hold this game and it’s memories close to my heart. I made many friends though the community and I will treasure them forever. It saddens me that LBP turned out this way due to bugs and glitches. Not to mention the community is no longer the same. Like others have said...there is so much nostalgia that it almost makes me emotional but I’m happy that I’ve spent my childhood days playing this game. If I could experience it again, I would.
Damn, same thing. I’ve played it since I was 7, now I’m 16. That’s so weird seeing the whole thing is collapsing… I sincerely cherish all the memories about good old LBP2 community, huh, also I remember being so disappointed that I couldn’t find any fan pages with people speaking in my native language, bc I didn’t speak English at all back then. Regardless of that, I remember getting back home from school just to play all evening long with my first internet friends in LBP2. Probably it’s an odd thing to say, but this game became a whole era of my childhood, maybe even shaped my personality in ways nothing could do. Seeing all of my internet friends being online just years ago is so heartbreaking. Time rules over things without mercy. It sucks.
stacy shady youth I completely agree with you. It’s embarrassing to say but I made more friends online than in real life lol. As a kid, I felt very left out in school (both elementary & highschool) This game brought me lots of laughter and happiness.
Mmk Nelly oh, yes. I had the same experience with that… I had only one friend in real life back then so these internet LBP friends were my salvation from solitude
I haven't even brought that into consideration, are modders really a thing now? What do they even do to hurt the community, delete and copy levels or worse?
@@oneAMghost That's horrible, guess I stopped playing at the right time then. The worst I've ever experienced with the community was the LatinPlayer10 copied level plague, modders aren't even comparable.
Yuno Gasai 3 months later response sorry, my friend and I still play on other games such as roblox and Minecraft, we still haven’t met I’m in person or face revealed and we’re okay with it.
Fun Fact: HUB was actually developed by Mm for a while, and then left for Sumo to develop the rest. They eventually got overwhelmed and made it into a 3rd game. That's why Hub content was DLC.
Mm actually assisted Sumo with the development of "LBP3" more than you guys are spreading around... They were communicating on what's important for the game, otherwise the game wouldn't have been anything like the first two. Sumo even admitted that it was very helpful to have Mm's input to get the philosophy behind the games, so it's not like Sumo was some random developer who didn't even care thrown at this project either. - They all cared, from Mm to Sony and Sumo sitting in between.
Bruh ever since they removed that dlc I haven't played it. (I had it but my account got banned for no reason and lost it). You can't rebuy so much of the damn dlc. Ain't worth playing.
Man just hearing the 3 letters "LBP" brings me back. When I was younger, I remember the first LBP coming out and I was OBSESSED! The game just fueled and expanded my creativity and thinking. I loved that game and I loved the second one a lot too, if not more. By the time the third came out I guess I was moving on. I remember hearing about a third and picking the game up only to play it for a bit and then putting it back down. Maybe I was just getting a bit older for the series and other games started to catch my eye. To this day, I can't say for certain I remember why I didn't really care about LBP3... But it was during LBP1 and LBP2 where I feel that it was more than just fun for me when I was younger, I think it's much more than that. I genuinely feel like that critical thinking, logic, and creativity stimulation in that game helped shape me today. I love puzzles, inventing, and building all sorts of things. I'm always fixing things and solving problems in unorthodox ways. I love that part about me and I feel like I owe LBP a bit for that.
I remember playing Little Big Planet 1 and 2 when I was so young. I love them to death and they will always be so damm close to my heart. I still have Little Big Planet 3 to this day and, even thought there’s so many glitches, I still play the game. LBP is always so close to me and is what inspires me to be creative. LBP will always be my favourite game franchise and I will never forget it.
if anyone is interested Im working on a horror level. Sorry I sound a bit like I'm self promoting but I would love some feedback on my demo. I have reworked it since but its nice to hear others opinions. If not it would be cool to start a new friend group. Anyway that is all
@Friend Im playing lbp 3 right now I have done my own world and actully lbp 3 was my first ps game ever and Idk when I got it but when I playd it it wasnt that many glitches it was normal for me but lbp 3 is so good I wish I could play thr other ones but I dont have a ps2 or a ps3 😢
Dreams is Mm's next huge project, meant to go on for at least 10 years. It's a game engine essentially, a lot more possibilities than LBP. It's a lot more fun than lbp3.
As an LBP Veteran, wow I was sent to a blast of nostalgia. I’d play this game after school and made some costumes and statues. I used to be a statue maker and they were pretty popular so I was really underrated but I’d make costumes like Goku, Mickey, Pickle Rick which I made probably well over a year. But I remember everyone would be obsessed with costumes, as soon as someone like me made a costume, boy it was nuts. The blast of nostalgia.
I remember playing with a guy in a mc Donald's level who told me it was his last day gaming. His name was Holland... Something. I don't remember, but if you see this Holland, it's good to see you again. edit; wow a year later and I forgot I even commented this, thanks for 240+ likes!
@@HondaS-fk1mi i played it a bit a few months ago and i don't think i remember any bugs or glitches? idk tho my memory could be stale and everyone's experience is different
I got LBP1 pretty late into the cycle, but enjoyed it a lot, and when LBP2 came out, I was hooked. I wasn't much of a designer but really went ham on sackbot logic and was making a lot of cool stuff. The amount you could do in that game was incredible. I didn't get lbp3 right away, I was in highschool at the time. Eventually bought it on ps4 when it was on sale. And it just wasn't the same. Didn't even publish or attempt to create a level. I chalked it up to me getting older but idk, so many other games were out which played much better. Its a shame really.
I got into LBP pretty late as well but I still had way more fun with it than I did LBP2. I just thought LBP2 had no soul at all. I felt like it was way too dependent on content from external licences and didn't give as much love to the engine as LBP did
You worked with the bots? Those things were the coolest. I played a level that had you occupy a bot that had its own square menu and pointer thing. Blew my mind
Same. I even made a fully programmable Conway's Game of Life in it. IN-game programmable. That... was more difficult to figure out than it sounds, since making one with the normal rules was super easy.
6 whole years later.... There's a glitch where your save file is randomly deleted, and you have to restart. The creators knew, but didn't bother to fix it.
My childhood in a nut shell as im sure for others too, as a kid u don't realize anything and u just want to have fun, now being older and still wondering what my ps3 friends are doing and what not. This hits in the feels harder than C418 alpha soundtrack.. The good old days, only if u could tell when their leaving before it's gone.
Me and my sister got LBP 3 for PS4 as an early xmas present, just for the nostalgia. The Dive In feature still isn't working. I always either get the error message when joining a pod and get booted out, or when i finally am able to join somebody and play a level, after the level finishes I get kicked out again because "resources failed to load". This game has been out for over 5 YEARS and its still busted. Not to mention, i also had some problems with the story mode. Didn't have to reset my progress or anything, just occasional game freezing. I want an LBP 4 so badly, but i actually want it to be good this time.
"So big, it had to be little" A phrase burned into my memory, and the phrase of one of the worst dumpster fires that broke my heart. This game was the last that my father ever bought me before passing and it just really fuckin sucks that this is how it went.
LBP actually inspired me to become a professional graphic designer! Growing up I got to play and enjoy it, and now I actually make some illustrative work similar to some stuff you would’ve seen in LBP. It’s crazy how inspiring something like LGP is. There hasn’t been anything quite the same since!
i started playing littlebigplanet in early 2009. my dad's friend gave me the game since i didn't really have any games on my ps3 at the time (i had a few sport games and mostly demos). i was fascinated with the game, i passed the entire story mode with my older cousin, spent hours upon hours in my pod, creating different sackboys, and running around slapping him around. i played so many community created levels, created like 30 of my own, and overall it was a huge impact in my life, because it was sort of like the first video game where i could do whatever i wanted. so when littlebigplanet 2 rolled around in 2011, i was older and everything i just described was elevated 10x. what i would do to go back to 2011 and experience that nostalgia. evidently, when i saw the trailer for LBP3 i was super hyped, pre-ordered and all, and i watched every video i could find about the trailer and certain leaks and whatnot. when release day came, i was able to successfully transfer my ps3 accounts to my ps4, and i didn't experience any game-breaking bugs... but for some reason, it just lacked the same appeal the other two games had. it felt like the more complex it got, the less charm it had. ultimately, i think the fanbase outgrew the game, and with the constant requests for new level mechanics and game features, did it lose what made it so brilliant in the first place.
Played it through it twice with a buddy and my gf and had a blast, didn't run into any problems either time. We also played a ton of creative levels. Didn't realize it was hated.
Even in 2020, dive in does not work bunkum lagoon feels rushed, and you can still skip almost the whole story mode. They don’t care at this point and all their attention is going to SABA.
@@gagne6928 true, but I did have a ps3 and played the lbp3 game and had no problem with it. Maybe bc I got the game a long time after the launch date, but I myself never had any problems with the game
LBP 1 and 2 created some great childhood memories for me, I never really made any levels because I didn't think what I could make was good enough to put out, but I had a blast playing other people's levels and the single player stuff. It's a real shame that LBP3 was screwed over by being rushed out. So many games end up bad because they're rushed out, and the big wigs never learn and let the game be completed in proper time.
I have a weird story, something that happened to me when I was playing LBP2, before LBP3 came out ... I made a Portal level, with a working Portal Gun. The portal item in my inventory showed the creators of the item. One of them was me, but the other one... was MediaMolecule ?? And that's not normal, right?? I mean, I know they made the whole game but MediaMolecule didn't show up as an author in any of my other items!! Ah.... the nostalgia ;_;
@@cheezytaterz6776 I believe he was referring to Sackboy a Big Adventure. But I'm nervous for it because if they decide to push it out now, it'll be overshadowed by the other various games for the Ps5. They should wait at least a month or two to grab people's attention.
Oh how the mighty fall. LittleBigPlanet may not recover from this flop of a game. LBP3 was my first and only LBP game, sold it a few months after I got it
Lbp2 is hands down my favorite game to this day despite me not having played it in years. Nothing else compares honestly I just don't have friends to play it with and don't own a PlayStation anymore but lbp and lbp2 are masterpieces
Damn thats sad. I haven't played LBP3 in years but the way I remember it LBP was 9/10, LBP2 was 8/10 at first but then got elevated to 10/10 by its communtiy, LBP3 was just 6/10 at best can't see how that could have changed with its rough start.
Take me back to the days of playing horror levels and splinter cell on lbp2 with the homies at 1am. I wish you can tell when your in the good old days before you've actually left.
Man this is really sad... I loved LBP 1 and remember playing countless hours bomb survival with friends. I even had the special edition of lbp2 but never got into it as much. I guess after all LBP should've been a Steam game... That would've been so dope, with the workshop and all that?
I always get nostalgic when I look back at Lbp2. I remember finishing story mode and how good it felt to go through each level. I loved Lbp3 too for the diversity it introduced in it's mechanics, and not the bugs. to this day Little big planet has a special place in my heart. I would love to see the series have a comeback.
This is exactly how I feel I’m so happy to come across this you earned my subscription. It sucks I enjoyed lbp for so long. I started back in 2011 one time when my brothers friend let me try that game out I enjoyed it from the start. Then I forgot the title and all about it. Then in 2012 I came across it again and was overflooded with great content from story mode and the community levels. I made so many great friends and people on that game. I wish I could have said bye one last time but I may never be able to. I still play lbp sometimes but after a year of broken lbp3 I bought another PS3 to play lbp and lbp2. It sucks that it’s “dead” however I’m excited for dreams by media molecule. Great video man!
I'm glad you liked the video! I'll be streaming Dreams and making a bunch of content when it releases so if that's something your interested in then feel free to stick around :D
I was 5 levels away from getting the platinum trophy, then my game crush and I lost all my save data in the game. And to this day, I still haven’t gotten the platinum trophy
Little Big Planet 2 was probably the best game for my childhood along with Mario Galaxy. i didn’t have internet so i just played with my siblings, and we’d always play story mode, while also playing the mini games like Rocket Funland. I wish i could go back to simpler times, it was such an awesome sweet experience
@@purwantiallan5089 I played it it's an OK game. Amazing visuals and such but I feel like it was way too easy and the story telling overall was underbaked.
You know you had a good time if you invited 3 friends and played shark survival with them. Some skateboard and bomb survival levels were also cool af. One of the best games for parties.
I made so many friends in LBP 2. I had LBP 1 but the second was the one I played the most, and honestly the best one. I remember those days man. This game literally was a really important part of my life, as stupid as it may sound. I met so many cool people there. It makes me sad, but not in a bad way. I'd just like to go back to those days
They shouldn't have got multiple characters or more layers. If it's not broken don't fix it. They should've made more power ups, more tools to create and more character customization features and left it at that.
I remembered a lot that LittleBigPlanet3 is the game that sadly killed off LittleBigPlanet franchise. The game maybe great, but its sadly riddled with tons of bugs and also save game data that can be broken, even with patches!
What ruined it for me was a bug that made it so that i couldnt upload levels YAY TOALLY DIDNT SPENT A MONTH AMKING A HUGE LEVEL THEN NOT BEING ABLE TO UPLOAD IT
I played LBP for years- I actually played it so much that my PS3 broke. I was excited for LBP3 but just like most of the community, all my friends gave up
Little big planet is so underrated. People are inclined to play super mario bros and sonic instead and they do. Little big planet is one of the best action adventures I've ever played. I still remember it very fondly. A very satisfying little game.
Tbh idk if someone read this bcuz its almost 1 year old video but i played lbp ps vita (which is like lbp 2) And i had so much fun There with my friend And i even find my best friend There (were still chatting on discord this Day). (btw i didnt know that lbp 3 has 16 playable Layers, thats crazy. I was used to work only with 3 on vita edition). If you read this, thanks for Reading my story And have a nice Day/Night!
I played this game when it was free on ps4 awhile back. I didn't really run into much problems cause i had assumed they would have finally been patched up since the game released...and then i ran into a game breaking bug before the final boss and i got really disappointed that i had to start the whole game over so i ended up quitting and never went back to the game since then.
The things I would give to relive playing LBP2 for the first time... The ending narrations really hit. I was so obssessed with this game and still am. I was basically hooked on this game for YEARS when I was 5 or so. Still am. Im sad that a lot of my friends don't know about this game but I've met some really good friends on LBP and through it and that, that is epic Edit: I loved LBP2 to the core, and now I only play LBP3 for the story and moon. I would go back 100% to LBP2, but my PS3 isn't connected to my tv anymore 😔
I remember before I was seriously into gaming, whenever I visited my cousin, we ALWAYS played lbp2. I have so many fond memories of exploring and beating stuff, even though I was younger at the time. There are always the games that create memories, and LBP is one of them.

It saddens me that LBP turned out this way due to bugs and glitches. Not to mention the community is no longer the same.
Like others have said...there is so much nostalgia that it almost makes me emotional but I’m happy that I’ve spent my childhood days playing this game.
If I could experience it again, I would.
Theres a new lbp coming out i think on ps5

Let's take a moment to appreciate LBP2s Muppets DLC.

I also love the 2009 LBP1 even after fifteen years.

That... was more difficult to figure out than it sounds, since making one with the normal rules was super easy.

i started playing littlebigplanet in early 2009. my dad's friend gave me the game since i didn't really have any games on my ps3 at the time (i had a few sport games and mostly demos). i was fascinated with the game, i passed the entire story mode with my older cousin, spent hours upon hours in my pod, creating different sackboys, and running around slapping him around. i played so many community created levels, created like 30 of my own, and overall it was a huge impact in my life, because it was sort of like the first video game where i could do whatever i wanted. so when littlebigplanet 2 rolled around in 2011, i was older and everything i just described was elevated 10x. what i would do to go back to 2011 and experience that nostalgia. evidently, when i saw the trailer for LBP3 i was super hyped, pre-ordered and all, and i watched every video i could find about the trailer and certain leaks and whatnot. when release day came, i was able to successfully transfer my ps3 accounts to my ps4, and i didn't experience any game-breaking bugs... but for some reason, it just lacked the same appeal the other two games had. it felt like the more complex it got, the less charm it had. ultimately, i think the fanbase outgrew the game, and with the constant requests for new level mechanics and game features, did it lose what made it so brilliant in the first place.
Played it through it twice with a buddy and my gf and had a blast, didn't run into any problems either time. We also played a ton of creative levels. Didn't realize it was hated.
I think its because the ps3 version is really laggy and terrible
Even in 2020, dive in does not work bunkum lagoon feels rushed, and you can still skip almost the whole story mode. They don’t care at this point and all their attention is going to SABA.
