The reason I excluded the Run Sackboy Run costumes even though they are not obtainable in the mobile version is because you can still claim them on the vita version.
I have access to the lbp3 alpha and i have the highest quality soundclips of the alpha voicelines

I had no idea the bug blaster was so rare, or that I owned it 💀 when I got a new PS3 and booted up LBP1 I saw that I had the vest and bug blaster in my popit and to confirm I also booted up LBP2 and after the introduction of the pod, yet again Bug Blaster and Beta Vest. Glad to figure out I actually own one of the rarest dlc out there
I remember making knockoff versions of these outfits with the world peace t-shirt

I would kill for a version of these games that had all the dlc included, emulation or otherwise.
You can get all the DLC for free if you play in RPCS3
Same for PS3
There's a video on youtube that explains how to get all the dlc on rpcs3

Quick Note, the PS Vita launch shirt accidentally got on a store if I remember two years after the PS Vita launch.
A day or two after E3 2016 for some reason it appeared on the PS4 store for $4.99 No advertisements or tweet from LBP talked about why.
That’s how I got mine lol. Was on vacation in florida and like the LBP addicted teen I was had brought my console with me. I remember playing LBP2 and checking the store to see that the LBP Vita Launch shirt was sitting there. No hesitation purchased the DLC, to later tell my dad I bought this without asking. Best rare I have. Pretty sure same thing happened with the crown.

I dont know how young me managed to registrate me onto the LBP 2 Beta, but thanks to that i've gotten myself the Beta Vest back in the days... And I was always wondering why no one else was rocking this vest.

I pre-ordered LBPK at GameStop and got Kevin Butler and UFG General. The latter costume actually used to be a rare, but at some point became purchasable! I'm glad more people can wear it :3

I was an autistic kid obsessed with lbp and lbp2 so i had a lotta rarities lol
Fun fact: circa Feb 2015, the beta vest and bug blaster items were available for PS Vita owners due to a bug in the Vita's PS Store. It was eventually patched out before the servers for LBPV shut down.
I remember around 2014? Or 2015 i went onto the lbp2 store and i saw the ps vita shirt there i ended up buying it and still own it to this day. I have no idea why it was there as i never owned a vita but im glad i have it. Great vid btw!
I remember a similar instance when the beta vest and bug blaster costumes were available on the LBPVita store for free, it was cool being able to own them for a while.

slight correction: the folder for the PSP shirt and cap is still named "goty" even in LBP2
I remember making a level on Little Big Planet 1 that earned me the Crown, I was very young but I was extremely joyful when it happened. Someone might remember it, it had a ton of logic built into it, it was 'Resistance 2, Leviathan Boss'. Creating costumes and hanging out with the friends I met playing the game was my favorite past time, its a shame I never managed to keep up with them, but wherever they might be, I hope they're doing well.
6:50 I have the beta vest and the bug blaster costumes, but I was never able to carry the bugblaster one onto the PS4 store, only the beta vest one😭
For those looking for the LBP3 astronaut costumes, they're still available as a free DLC, but you'll need to search for it as it isn't shown on the game page.
I used the sonic skin for basically all of the games’ story modes
i actually had no idea that the spacesuit costume was available every time a new game released, i honestly thought it was just some random launch related DLC costume that could be purchasable for a bit, and was then gone forever
i started playing right about when the killzone dlc came around. i was 4 coming home from preschool at 7 playing lbp2 with my brother
its so sad knowing me and my brother owned most of these rare dlcs only to get all of our game data lost after a decade

I knew that the rest best and bug blaster was rare but I didn’t realize how rare the bug blaster was. All I remember was getting it after buying a late copy of LBPK
This brings me back to the levels of how to make your own fake crown or the sackbots collectibles with the shirts that didnt always bother working
I have the rare spacesuit, but i got it for free one year ago and is still free today (i think it's only for europe)
I remember wanting the launch costume back in lbp1 when I was a kid and was so glad when they finally put it in the store for free later on.
Great video! I love that there is now a legitimate video talking about the rares of LBP and detailing how to obtain them. Definitely could have used this video back in the day, wish it was made sooner. 😂
Also, I would like to add the mention of RSBR. Though, I am unsure on the true rarity of this piece, same with the other outfits for the other characters on RSBR.
Fun fact; I have been told from people who live in Russia had reportedly seen the Target Outfit sitting in the store for purchase.
Lastly, a mention of leaked rares. LBP Vita launch was leaked in the store as well as the crown and other rares for short time periods without any update or notice to players.

I swear I have vivid memories of playing levels that let you wear and keep the items. That or my memory is failing me lol. Super cool niche vid! Definitely hit the target audience, I miss playing these games as a kid.
I remember being overjoyed to get the RSBR shirt, and it was such a good time... Sadly I couldn't get the other 3 costumes, but I never knew the Tearaway Comp Pack was rare until I was told about it by a (now ex) friend of mine

you *could* consider the discontinued dlc to be rares, such as marvel, potc, etc
I own the LBP Vita launch shirt and LBP3 Launch shirt out of all of these. I am very proud of it.
hello anyone know any fix to these bugs to not get kicked out or glitching out the game while browsing through levels, sometimes levels don’t show up anymore and i have to keep closing the application of the game

The only thing I can think of which I don’t even know what it was, is the one costume with the frozen arm. I think you had to go into the files to unlock it or something like that, I don’t remember because of how long ago I played the game.

I haven't played any lbp game besides 2 and 3, do your cosmetics from the older lbp games transfer over to the newer lbps? Like if you have the week 1 lbp shirt will I be able to use it in lbp3? Cause I see no real reason to care about the older cosmetics if that isnt the case.
