Do you know - is there one mono track from two microphones? Or it is stereo track (first mic to left side, second - to right side?)
Thanks for the review. Looks/sounds amazing for the price. ANC modes sound terribly artificial and digital to me, but they might help in some high-noise situations. Deadcats would be morr than welcome. But for this price it is seems to a be good value. Let's check out other reviews.
Well you can try Pixel Voical Lark X that I reviewed as well tho is way more expensive than Ulanzi.
Ulanzi option good for casual and general consumption, thus why it is more affordable.
I've watched a few reviews of these mics now and it seems that the ANC works but also makes your voice sound like you're recording in a room with a little bit of reverb.

Got my J12 last night. Using the USBC version on an S22. I have to turn the mic volume down to minus 12 db in pro video mode otherwise you get a compressed sound. It's almost worthless in selfie mode because Samsung doesn't allow one to control mic levels in selfie mode. Really it sounds pretty good when using the minus 12 db mic level. Will experiment more this weekend. Even at minus 12 db it won't be able to record really loud sounds. Perhaps one can find some firmware mods for the S22 to correct some of that.
Try using Filmic Pro. Easier to control gain.
Does it disables speaker audio on iphone or any Android smart phone when you connect the receiver.
The problem is many types of wirless mics mute and disables speaker audio on my iphone while I am making short videos in SnapChat and TH-cam Shorts and Reels. also I do live in TikTok
I am looking for wirless mic with good voice quality and noise cancelation and do not disable and mute speaker audio on smartphone
It doesnt mute my speaker on Xiaomi , Samsung and IPhone that I tested. Could be a device automatic disable it.
Great review. I will be using this mic for Realtors to introduce coming soon homes or open house day. I always start the interview outside with the realtor talking about the house. There can be cars & trucks on the road while the realtor talks about the house. It can be very loud background noise. I use Iphone 12 pro max to record. Can you please give me any advice on how to keep loud background noise from the vehicles out of the recording?
enable the noise cancelling, and far away from major loud noise to have clean audio

Yes you can listen both ears.
Channel refer to mics, 1 channel means 1 mic, 2 channel means 2 mics.
Not separate left or right side hearing.

• Since by default it's an omnidirectional mic, would people's voices around me be audible enough if I use this in a hybrid meeting where others are listening online and the J12 attached to my shirt? OR better just place the mic on the middle of the table for all voices to be heard by those listening online?
• Have you tried using this with the native Samsung camera app? Does it work? If not, which free app would you recommend that's compatible with the mic?

The clear pickup radius is about under 20cm, so anything further is just bad vocal pickup.
Samsung S20 as referance, default app work, you may try filmic pro app if you seen my video :D

• 20 cm. or under 8-inches is short that of a proximity efficiency. Hence, not suitable for meetings I supposed. Only Vlogs.
• Thanks for confirming that it works on Samsung's native camera app as I heard from a comment in other YT reviews that at least, it didn't work with Xiaomi's Mi 11 Lite NE's camera app.
• Just in case. Would you know if it will work with a GoPro 9 or 10 IF it's connected NOT DIRECTLY to the GP's USB port but on the GoPro Media Adapter?

Hi, is it compatible directly to iphone camera when vlogging or it still needs app to install to it can used? Like moment app?
From my test based in Iphone 13 Pro Max, default camera app does use the mic, but I use moment app to ensure I get the highest audio quality.

1 file, each mic is stereo (and left and right), 2 mic used both mic overlap each channel. .
No such thing as left is Mic 1 or right is Mic 2. They are mixed together

can this record each mic in a different channel ? I've tried it in my laptop on adobe audition, but both mics are being recorded under one single channel which is quite inconvenient because I cant modify or improve audio on one mic without changing what I record on the other mic. Thanks!!
