  • The Ulanzi J12 Lapel Mic sounds good and makes an excellent travel partner for content creators. It's a budget wireless lav mic worth checking out.

    If i remember correctly, there’s 3 different noise canceling settings and that was probably the highest

      Yes. I believe so. I did a follow up video of the three settings.

    There is a lag between audio and video

    That´s the problem with these cheap inbuilt analog to digital converters:they cannot handle complex audio situations like traffic sounds and simultan speech.The y are best suited for talk between two persons in a quiet environment.

    I tried it while I had my iPhone on a DJI OM5 and it worked fine with only one mic, but there is a lot of static noise when you use both mics. Most of my footage from a recent trip is useless due to this issue. I'm trying to figure out how to solve this issue or if I'll have to use without the gimbal, which is why I bought the mics in the first place.

      Not sure I follow. What you use both the lapel mics? So frustrating to get all that footage and realise it’s ruined. I’d only use this in relatively controlled environments, although they were ok on the beach as you saw in this video.

      What I meant is I bought these to use while recording on trips. I had my phone on a DJI gimbal. Sound was good when I was using only one mic. When both mics were in use there was static noise. Not sure if the fact the phone was on the gimbal, which also uses Bluetooth to control the phone's camera, was causing some interference. DJI had a firmware update and I haven't experienced any issue since then.

      Just plug it in to the usb-c port.

    Just got it, it only records in mono though as I play it back in my editor's timeline. Did you tweak anything or the raw sound is what we're watching?

    • @MakeLifeClick
      @MakeLifeClick  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, I didn’t realise I had done it but there is a setting in Davinci Resolve to duplicate it over the timeline for mono->stereo conversion. Depending on what your using there should be a similar option to duplicate or mirror the mono track. I’d reach out to Ulanzi also as I feel like they would know this.

      @@MakeLifeClick You didn't answer the straight question though.

      I am recording onto an Osmo action 3 and 4 with decibels at + 6, maybe that's the difference. I use it on my motorbike at around 35kph and it's about 6 to 8 inches from my mouth. It is under my t shirt as well and stops all the wind noise. GREAT
