My #1 issue is HOW DO I GAIN WEIGHT? Nowadays almost all the info re health and nutrition is aimed at WEIGHT LOSS. I'm gearing up to begin the GAPS Diet ASAP, but truly cannot afford to loose another pound in the transition process. I mean I'm already pretty close to emaciated!!! This loss has gone on gradually over the last eight years or so -- without wanting or needing it.
I'm not sick but am not "WELL" either. Friends say "Well, you're 82. You should expect to slowly fall apart." I say, "No thanks to that idea."
Thank you, Marisa, for being there for all of us who believe in the possibility of being HEALTHY.

I started ox bile after I had my gallbladder removed. I had not heard about the bitters. I’ll have to try them. I love beet kavass! I usually make a big batch in the fall and make it last as long as possible. I’ve always been liberal with my olive oil and butter use but I’m learning to add the others now too. My AS14 does much better when I can get the fats into him but he has a fat texture aversion due to sensory issues and he has an ASD diagnosis, which is why I bought the yellow gaps book to begin with. Thanks for sharing all the great information.

Yes, I would love to hear about weight gain by eating more fats and animal protein. I defenately have gained my bust and hip size with eating more meat and animal fats. But I have to say, I eat way more than I did before. I was very on low fat, low calories and very thin. Now I gained around 6 pounds by eating more a carnivore high fat diet. Also do I have a hard time with constipation. I feel attracted at the way of your eating. Thank you, Tatiana

for me the only way i can make this diet work is first but knowing how many meal
to have and how much fat to havd in each meal so i dont get a sugar crush this is before adding anything else like ferments or other things. if i dont get the fats right i snack i het hypoglycemia and the honey butter thing dont do it . they only secret is more fat per meal. how many meals do you

    This is a great video!
I'm on my second try on the carnivore diet, the first time I did it was very protein heavy and not too high on fat, it didn't work to well and didn't really heal.
Second after about a year animal based, but still not healing, i'm doing very high fat carnivore with apple cider vinegar.
ACV has been a game changer, I used to bloat and be in a lot of pain eating liquid fats, but now every time I eat its better and better!
My stool is not so great, but I'd happily have not great stool for a while in trade for feeling amazing.
My meals are a little bit of protein (fish or chicken or game) and a tablespoon of beef fat, with 1-2 teaspoons of ACV.
I'm slowly increasing my fat and I feel better every time I increase my tallow intake.

I don’t think there’s an easy answer for this but I am unable to swallow capsules. My throat is usually quite swollen I have a condition called LPR or silent reflux. While I know ox bile can be helpful I don’t think it’s healthy to be swallowing it in liquid after taking it out of the capsule. So I’ve just been relying on enzymes at this point. Just wondering if you had any other ideas. I’m also wondering if you’ve heard of anybody who’s improved their LPR or silent reflux with the gaps diet. Thank you so much for your videos they’re very helpful XOXO

Also idk about ox bile bc I've never taken them but have them on the way (capsule form). If there's a different brand maybe? There's a brand called standard process all the naturopaths/chiropractors I've seen use and have been instructed to chew them first then swallow. I didn't see ox bile with standard process but looks like they have a bunch of digestive ones that might be worth looking at.
Just mentioning this bc I'm currently struggling with this too and think tid bits I've learned so far have been helpful if you weren't already aware:)
