    I don’t peel the onion. The most antioxidants are closest to the skin. I also add a vinegar or lemon to help bring out more nutrition from the bones. And for me…a large knob of ginger! Thanks! Love chicken soup!

    For all my life in Russia i was eating a chicken soup.. Like my mom and my grandma. Now in Israel we also cook chicken soup! It's not new. It's an old forgotten recipe.
    Is dr.Natasha from Russia? Every Russian family cooks chicken soup, maks kefir , kvas and fermented vegetables. Old Russian recipes. We don't call it GAPS diet. We call that healthy food. 😊

    I don’t put any vegetables at all in my bone soup. Just pepper, salt, herbs. I get sick from onions. I also used distilled water that I make because of the fluoride and chlorine in tap water.

    I always soak the meat in cold water before cooking. This removes lots of blood. I descart the water and add fresh one before cooking the stock. It helps with defrosting too.

    Hi Marissa, thank you for your great video! I will try this out for sure. I have two questions though. I live in a metropole and don’t have access to affordable high quality food, especially meat is highly overpriced and still often full of antibiotics the animals are being fed. Are all those toxins being cooked out?
    Also I am regularly using collagen powder, should I add that into the broth? Because for sure I won’t get any chicken heads or feet here where I live. Thank you so much!

    Hi there! Can you use a large crockpot instead? I feel like I've seen Dr. Natasha say (on Kelly Hogan's channel perhaps) that it really ought to be boiled and simmered slowly on the stove or in a dutch oven (which I don't have). I'm so hoping you can still obtain the full beneifts in a crockpot and that I've just mis-remembered. :) LOVE your channel, ty so much for all that you do for us!

    Hello! I am trying to start the Gaps diet to see if it helps with my sickness. I was first struggling with blood clots in my lungs and am on blood thinners since November last year. Then December last year I began getting Pots symptoms which they said was covid at one hospital and the next hospital said I was negative for covid so I’m not sure if I had covid or what triggered the pots. But now I’m currently also taking propranolol to help with my heart. I’m not sure how to start so this video is going to be very helpful. If you have any other tips tricks or advice I truly appreciate!❤

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Dr. Natasha recommends full GAPS (not intro) while nursing, because intro can trigger a lot of detox and we don't want to expose baby to that. But full GAPS is a great way to nourish yourself and baby. Hope this helps!

    Is GAPS a good idea to start during pregnancy? I had antibiotics about a month before getting pregnant (my 5th), and 2 months into the pregnancy I got a small patch of eczema- like rash on my face. Five months later, is has escalated to a full blown rash on my eyelids, around my nose and mouth. Combination of dry/scaly and red/welty. While slightly uncomfortable, I'm thankful it's not itchy - just very ugly! I'm at the crossroads between doing nothing and seeing if it resolves itself after baby comes or getting a jump start now (while I am not overwhelmed with a newborn) with making the big kind of diet changes that might fix the problem. I know Nourishing Traditions for Baby says to not do the GAPS diet during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but I wanted to get your opinion and see if there are at least a few changes I could make to see improvement. Thank you!

    If I don't want to add feet and chicken head what other bones can I add? What about marrow bones? Will the marrow come out of the bones only in a couple hours? I'm so used to cooking bone broth overnight to extract the marrow.

    • @BumblebeeApothecary

      Wings, backs, necks, drumsticks, and thighs all work well. The marrow won't come out in that time, but you can break the bones to get it out. It's easier to get marrow out of larger bones.
