    Thanks for the video. My 95 has that rubber piece all cracked and looks 20+ years older than Jeeps age. My 95 will be looking good.

    All you have to do is remove the bottom bolt and leave the other two in tight on the windshield bracket. 👍

    i didn't use a sealant there, however i did use some rtv (black) above the windshield at the leading edge of the soft top, that stopped rain from blowing by the channel when i was driving. I plan to take off the cowl vent and see if there is a leak source inside there but haven't gotten around to it. driver's side still getting wet

      There is a hose on the firewall in the engine bay leading from the vent intake on the hood that get clogged. The water backs up and comes out under the dash. I cleaned mine out with a long screw driver and now more water.

    My repair seemed to fix the passenger side, but its still getting wet on the driver's side. I noticed some leaking where the soft top is attached to the top of the windshield. Not sure if this is above or below the metal channel.

    Thanks buddy but I think you misunderstood I mean the bracket at the bottom that you let hang. You said the big one was a T45 what size are the 2 other ones the smaller ones?

      @timh141  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Scott gresham On mine, the bottom bracket where it attaches to the window frame uses T40. I double checked.

      I honestly don't remember. I should have documented it, but this looks like the part you will need: www.quadratec.com/products/12501_11.htm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgs7ey5yT9AIVHyCtBh3mzQ4lEAQYASABEgLibPD_BwE

    • @timh141

    4 Wheel Parts sells gasket and sealant as a package. We changed gasket only and still got leaks.....has anyone tried any epoxy base or water base sealant under the gasket and around the screw heads.......maybe it goes without saying we are NOT afraid of overkill.......and it has now become a mission ( obsession?? fixation?? ) to make this thing watertight for general driving in the Northwest Winter.

    How did the seal fit? I put mine on and it sticks out when the windshieldis up.

      Seemed to fit ok, I still have a leak somewhere. There is a still of it at the very end of the video

    • @timh141
      @timh141  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      not all of it, i still have a leak that drips onto the trans tunnel, might be in the cowl vent, need to take off that grill to check

    • @dingthefries

    do you have a hardtop???

  • @leighveidman2551
    @leighveidman2551 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent. I assume these will cover the gap between the half windows and the windshield right?

    • @timh141
      @timh141  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leigh Veidman They should, i have the half windows also. It wouldn't hurt to double check with either the manufacturer or vendor for compatibility, but they look the same to me.

  • @chriswales21

    Hey Tim-
    When you put the new weather seal in, what did you use on the outside of he window to stretch the window seal and the adhere it to outside window frame?

    • @timh141
      @timh141  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      nothing, i just attached it to the window frame with screws. the only thing i replaced was the windshield frame to cowl rubber seal. I still have a water leak, around the half door uppers and also i've seen it drip from under the dash onto the tunnel, so maybe i need to take off the cowl vent and see what is going on in there.

    I appreciate the video but wanted to see how you put the gasket on, not your Jeep riding down the road
