Sam, Big thank you! Thank you for the energy and the time you put into your videos. The consideration you give us, and what would best help us. Big thanks. I love having the line on for at least one hot lap. Sometimes I use the line as my breaking point marker for sections of the track that don't have very good reference points. Sending good vibes, be well!
Nice video mate. I'm new to iRacing, played some AC but got like 15 hours in iRacing. After watching video I dropped a 1:35.6 which my friend couldn't get close to. Lets go!!!
Sambo, love the content and the race guides, you are helping me cut down my time like crazy and just getting the general feel for the track. I was wondering if you could possibly have your lap timing up while you are doing these guides as I am losing time and trying to figure out where. But more than likely still just learning, but thought it could be a useful reference point to see where your time is at and where I'm losing time. Again love the content, and considering getting a tutoring session!!!!!!!
such a tricky track. last week at summit point my SOF (~1400) were only about a second off your pace. this week, those same splits are putting in 35.5s. incredible to see the skill gap on such display.
It’s a very tricky track for sure. In 3 races, I’ve managed the grand total of 3 overtakes and have yet to be overtaken. It’s a totally different racing experience to the drafty Summit Point.
Thanks for the guide Sambo. I prefer no driving line. The line is just a guide for when to push which button essentially, which defeats the purpose of a video guide, I think. I honestly believe a driver can become fundamentally more skilled by using auto shift and no line than by relying on that terrible reference.
Could you do the breakdown without the line to show the breaking zones, but then do the full speed with the line? That way I can better see what the ideal line actually is
Hi mate, thanks for the guide. The slow mo's at the key points while you talk us through your inputs are great. A lot easier to watch than when others pause the footage and yap for a minute. A full speed cockpit cam lap straight after would be nice. Line off for me personally.
I prefer driving lines off in the guide videos as majority of racers drive without them and it can be confusing as braking points and racing line are different than the default lines
Hey Sam, the driving line on is great because it gives a consistent measurement when comparing telemetry replays! Please keep it on!
Not a big fan of driving lines but it is interesting and informative to see how your actual line varies from the Racing Line.
I prefer the hotlap without the line and, to me, makes more sense if it comes first in the video!
Thanks for the videos, really helps me.

Used this guide to win at Winton. Thanks!
Awesome work. Looking forward to racing with you.
Thanks can't wait to start practicing later

I’ll see what I can do. Sometimes it’s down to what the overlays will display with it being replay files.
But all my data is on Garage61 as well.

Mate that’s a mad lap
Prefer driving line on, to judge relative car placement when I’m in the car myself.
Personally I prefer the hotlap without the line.
Thanks for your videos Sambo!

small idea, can you also post your sector time so we can compare to your lap sector by sector and see where we can find the most time
I’ll see what I can do with the racelabs overlays.
Driving line off so we’re able to identify the braking points better
I’m in the “line off” camp
Why dont you do cockpit view without pauses for the 2nd lap then do chase with line/no line?
Driving line ON :)
Driving line on please
drive line on please
Line off, please
Is your lapfile for another track?
Should be right now.

I give another vote for full speed cockpit lap with racing line off.
Ps driving line off for me
Line off
Line off, it adds nothing but a distraction
