For turn 9, I definitely think 1st gear is the way to go. More consistent on getting the car to hook up after taking a little kerb and maybe 1 tenth faster if you also go to 1st for 11.

I literally did the same thing last night. I had won the Mazda class from last. The chaos this multiclass series creates is crazy, not only that, most people are driving the Toyotas SLOWER than the Mazdas.

Holding 100% throttle going through piper is an absolute nightmare. Tires lose grip then I kiss a wall or two

I love this track. My optimal time is 2:10:000, but I can't get 130R and the chicane right. If I can figure out how to get them right, I'll have a blast this week.

As a rookie who just got the BMW, I really appreciate this video. Coming from the MX-5 it feels heavy and hard to stop/rotate but enjoying it so far!

Thank you for the guide! Your Indianapolis Road guide for the M4 was a massive help with reducing my average lap time to a 1:33 from a previous 1:46 avg! The small comments and tips around throttle control and braking has been really beneficial! Looking forward to using this next guide for this weeks sessions!

Got the BM4 GT4 when the game updated as it coincided with my C class promotion and now I'm noticing that whenever I run the Falken Tyre challenge or the Gt4 challenge, no one in the top is running the BMW. The times I've finished 3rd or 4th, thanks to these track guides btw, there are never any BMWs in the Top 10. Not sure if that speaks to just how hard this thing is to drive. But either way, thank you for the guides!

I raced against you today or yesterday can't remember your pretty fast man!

How on earth are you in the 30s is impressive especially in the BMW M4. It is by far for me the slowest car around this boring track. I can easily do 32s in a McLaren Porsche and AMG but this BMW is horrendous at this track. Very disappointing as I really love the BMW it gave me lots of glory at Okayama. I know it is my technique and skill, but I’m so far away in pace in the BMW.

backing to iRacing after a long pause, I'm struggling to find a proper camera position for formula vee. I'm runing triple 27" 1080p. After ajust the fov, orient P and vanish Y, I end up loosing the car hud and the mirrors.. the result is basically up from the black paint of your car in the middle screen, so I loose everything below your camera. idk if I should "zoom out" (offset X) so it could looks more like your video... wondering if zoom out could result in lost of reality, speed and references... or if I'm really bad in setting the orient P.

Love the BMW and hated it initially at Okayama ended up being my most consistent car even though not the fastest, AMG was in my hands. I had good races and gained lot's of iRating with a P3 2x P6, P7 not bad for my standards. But at Indianapolis I just cannot make it stick when compared to the Porsche, Maclaren and AMG. 😢

Very good teaching guide. My best before looking at your video was 133.8, but mostly 135s' though very smooth doing those laps. I need to make the track wider and straighter, meaning use the curbing. I will go back and make some base runs and then try the brake clicks. Then after many spins and silly things lol, I will post my times. I am going to enter the series this season but need more pace.
