I just realized this is a stellaris game where one dudes whole fleet is battleships and titans vs a dude who covered everything the a variety of different designs
Honestly, I've heard worse pronunciations of "paradigm." You did well enough to get a C+ on that front, while I still consider the rest of your story-reading to be a solid A+.
Not really. Their tactics are just dumb. Having a big wall does not allow for a bigger force to use its greater firepower effectively. The only mitigation is the long range of their weapons. The better tactic would have been to separate into the five sub formations and then shift to intercept one or two of the enemy's smaller sub formations with the entire force. However, the fight is essentially over since the enemy has double the acceleration of the league ships and will be able to stay behind the league ships unless they assume some sort of big ugly ball formation like an armadillo rolling up. Even then, the long range of the Weaponry will work against them as the Predator ships will be able to fire across the big ugly ball formation into the engines of League ships on the opposite side of the ball. the author has set this fight up to be impossible for the league but did not hide that from the start. The question will be how the humans will overcome the overly aggressive tactics of the Predators.
Their tactics are exactly phalanxes. A large group of heavily armored craft with all armor and weapons facing forward in a compact square shaped formation that allows for little movement except forwards and backwards. The battles are relatively moderate and ceremonial, like most inter-city state warfare was in ancient times.
Certain battle formations are explained, very interesting . It is well known with a predeter when hunting ,trys to tirer the prey,Then attack bit by bit and bring it down, but this is a single prey method But in attacking a large herd it is very different cuting out the weak and bring it down.Slowely the herd is thinned ,one by one they go down if they keep going the herd is desemated.
There are those who seek glory and fame. Some only seek to bring joy. Their troubles are unknown. They burden themselves for the betterment of others. Selfless is not a trait that is easy to find. It is hidden.
Usually high gravity wells I would guess, you probably can’t orbit that fast without atmospheric drag and producing heat to see it anyway with instruments. If there were light balloons specialised for it, maybe
I think it's nice that captain Ginyu found work, honesty.... Though I'm not surprised they oopsydoodled away a leadership role against an advanced spacefaring dominating species
Its always great fun whe the narrators i listen to mispronounce a word they are unfamiliar with. It's more common than one might think but everyone gets better with time.
Not sure why Humanity keeps attaching itself to undeserving NATO clones. The ones where they gut the leadership and take over are both more realistic and play to our skill sets.

I have, but I don't think I had when I wrote it.

Man, I can already imagine some Rashan quotes.
"Honor... **snarl** such a fitting thing for prey."
The league’s tactics scream phalanx Combat to me.
And the rashan's akin to a Roman legion

@@thesteellegionnaire4570 The story EXPLICITLY stated that the league is spread out, not in a compact formation.
The leagues tatics are literally rams going head to head hence the prey mentality

What's the difference between a particle cannon and a laser? A laser projects photon particles does it not?
But photons dont have mass, a particle cannon would most likely shoot other elementary particles. Probably electrons.
