- In this video I'll show you a few settings in Cura to put you on the path to getting stronger walls with a smoother finish and take your 3D prints to amazing new levels.

1.2mm walls with a 0.8mm nozzle at the right speed gives a nice solid vase that can take a beating
I've been enjoying messing around with wall thickness and number of walls and I'm just amazed at how a seemingly small change can drastically change the strength and print time. But it really makes a difference. One thing I have been trying to figure out in cura is if I print a tube how to print the inner diamter wall but not the outer diameter walls. Basically I want the ID to be smooth and solid but I want the OD to be the infill. Since both seem to be considered as outer walls I can't figure out how to selectively turn one or the other off.
Very good information, as always! Thank you for you informational videos.
Thanks!! And thanks for watching!
Great info, thanks for an indepth description of how to use Cura ...
Thanks for the kind words & thank you for watching! I'm glad you found these videos useful!!

Setting outer walls before the inner wall and reducing flow resulted resulted in fomenting accurate cubes. However, I kept having to tune the z-offset higher because the nozzle kept scraping on the print.
Out of curiosity is there a setting thay shows the items of interest with description on CURA? I notices when you hoover over you get images of what it's changing. Thanks
In Cura, go to "marketplace" by clicking the button on the upper right hand corner of the screen. Install the setting guide. It's a free download and that'll do it for you! Thanks for watching!
Hey! Awesome info! Let's say you are printing is play armor to wear. Would you print the model inside to outside. Or print outside to inside. Ideally the goal is a smoother outer layer
If I were doing it, I would print inside to outside. But keep in mind, size is important. Do a small test print first and if you need to, apply horizontal expansion to it.
