I was aware of Blue Journey but always had the conception that it ended way back. Not knowing that it is only closing down. Why did it take this long My idea of Blue Journey was how Bloom was. A one time thing where Holomems that wanted to participate go for and those that didnt want to well, didnt. It should've been that way i think considering they have Fes to prepare for, birthday, anniv lives plus any sort of guest appearances. Heck i was happy Hoshimatic Project didnt continue much despite it is a very sought after group.
That's too bad, I listened to the songs on spotify for the most part, besides what was in the official youtube channel, and like that extra emotional touch to them. Idk anything about the finances, but I wonder if they could have continued making the music on the label, just with no big plans for a 3D live, freeing up spending and schedules. Guess idk if they'd profit even then though. It was a nice project though, I feel like it had a good run, despite being cut.
I love the Blue Journey songs, but tbh that 3D live wasn’t my favorite, particularly because it was a very serious and moody concert with a lot of monologue to set the tone. But I couldn’t understand the monologues so I was never able to get into that serious mood and just feel kinda out of it the whole time. Still the performance and the songs are bangers though and it is a shame they didn’t continue it
I never really felt that BJ was meant to be anything more then a 1 and done so this isn't to shocking to me Projects like that, ones that are more niche can be hard to keep going. Though i will say, cover does have a template for what could work as a smaller project
I liked the songs and live (very no frills unlike that bloated summer concert) I also liked how it gave the time of day to girls who usually don't get it as opposed to the same names the that get everything. But that may have been its undoing; taking the less popular route; Char was right Only complaint was Aki didn't get more songs
yagoo must have been so relieved that regloss project is so well received after the 1st stage.. imagine having such a bomb in several other projects.. it must've been nervewrecking. so glad for the regloss members
At least he knows why people watching Hololive, specially from outside Japan. Made regloss working with Hololive members actually help good promotion for them. At first people still hesitate to follow them because music and song are not main thing fan follow the members
Ah a shame they made some good songs under BJ. I always wondered why things like this often are under separate youtube channels. If it was on the main Hololive official channel I'm sure it would have done much better in the numbers.
I would like to point out a small statement Suisei made about this project. She got an offer to join this project but she ultimately decided to not participate. In her words, the direction they wanted to go with the project did not sit well/complement what she wanted to do. That she decided not to join because of differing vision. Not going to put out any conclusions. I just wanted to put this out there.
I have mixed feelings about blue journey but my main complaint (that I’ve voiced elsewhere) is that it lacked individuality. Yes, there are other hololive units and group activities, but most of the time there is a sense of the individual in the group - like “these members singing this song makes sense” or “this group is these members”.
I think the idea is great but Blue Journey might be too big of a project to start with. Maybe something smaller and more engaging for example like Suisei's Hoshimatic Project will be nicer. There will be hype and content before the concert. Also, I am not sure if its promoted well enough to the right audience because I barely see anything for it.
I think I know why the project being canceled, it's because all talent have been very busy lately.. this show how considered yagoo and staff are, there is be a lot what going on in background that we don't know about.. What I look is : First, they been more busy ofc Second, Aqua was in that project too before, soo.. Third, it's all about mental health and health problem of the talent to be important In this clip we know some of them want the project continue but I think this project will be on hold for the future plan.. 🧐
For overseas bro......we not even sure what is this project about. It hard to follow since, 😂 people has they own prefer music. It not like made all members sing something gonna be okay
It also doesn't help that the channel felt very... "Fan" like with the way the thumbnails were designed. Seeing it in my feed felt like, "Oh, someone's in the game with AI voices."
Despite her saying that they pour a lot of money into Blue Journey, I feel like its kind of poorly promoted. For starters, making Blue Journey a separate channel instead of just integrating it to the main Hololive channel, was a HUGE mistake. It was so unnecessary to try gathering audience from zero with a new channel, while you already have an established channel to begin with. For example, we have a YTber in our Country named M^aw A^g, his channel already so HUGE with Millions of subscribers, but then he tried to make a separate channel dedicated for his live streaming, guess what? The traffic was TERRIBLE, only 1-2K CCV even after doing it for several months and he actively talking about his 2nd channel on his main channel. He moment he decided to do livestreaming on his main channel, his CCV explodes to 11K. New channel on YT takes time to build and nurture. If you want quick bucks / profit from the get go, just use your established channel.
One of the biggest mistake they made was creating it's own channel instead of using Hololive official channel that already has 2M sub, this lead many people didn't know of this project. And also the gloomy and sad theme for full project doesn't really fit Hololive usual cheerful concert, fans does really love to chant and scream "oy oy oy" at concert while in this project they just swung their light stick left and right. Sure they had slow and blue theme song for concert too but not every one of it like BJ project. I even only have one favorite song from this, and forget what the tittle is😂 this show that Hololive isn't a perfect place but at least they learned something from this like they usually do. And boy oh boy Advent, Regloss & Justice is a massive success and it's feels like a paid back to BJ project. And don't forget the L.A Dodgers collab, and Breaking Dimension and World Tour concert and many many more.
Yeah agree. Harder to learn about projects when they're on a channel away from everything else. I'm only just learning about it now. And now I'm wondering if there's more I don't know about, or how I could find them if they're just JP talent. I also just found out about Midnight Grand Orchestra project (Suisei & Taku Inoue) in the comments here.
@@OptimalToast lol Blue Journey even have their own live concert and the fact you didnt even know MGO all these years is the evidence that most fans dont venture out much outside hololive branding bubble.
@@gladewings1192 Well, I am relatively new to Hololive in general, I watched clips for years, but only within the last month have I spent time watching their streams. My point still stands though, least on the youtube side these projects don't seem to be easy to find, maybe easier on X to find them but I don't use it. Not surprised fans don't venture much outside the bubble, for many there's already a language barrier. I do venture in to the JP sphere a little, mostly ReGloss though. I wouldn't say I'm evidence of much of anything here, sorry.
Putting it all on its own channel and seemingly intentionally avoiding putting the participating Hololive members into any of the imagery until close to the end, all for the sake of a number of dour, more emotional and less attention-grabbing songs... How could this genius project fail!?
Blue Journey was their attempt of an idol group with rotational members I guess. In the end, it made way to ReGLOSS technically hololive's first proper idol group.
They have tried to go outside of blue triangle but not working. Weird how they have professionals but did not understand how music become popular, you can't just release the songs in vaguely then expect people would like it and become viral. Even world top singers need to do a tour for months to promote a new song.
Sadly they always try to throw something expecting it to stick. Most of their made up groups doesn't really took off. Music idol brand only appeals to Japan compared to overseas. That's why Regloss also streams like the usual girls. As long as their main entertainment brand streaming is fine that's the most important thing.
Blue project involves huge number of holomem... And you know with all these graduation & termination, it would be funny to see the members drastically decreasing as a unit... Frequent big group project is a hassle most of the time 🤷
That’ll happen when they dont promote and support it in the west, HL only blew up after EN debuted anyway, I bet the bulk of their viewerbase now is based outside of Japan.
its a shame and not surprising from japan based company that always gatekeeping their event for themself. i wonder why they always do this tho? even from the member project not one of 'em from EN/ID girls, if the company aware this problem sooner like getting EN/ID girl promote it in official ch or react their live in their channel it will boost slightly their popularity, and attract people to watch it.just like lamy said its only need a time.
lol including EN/ID wont really helped much you guys giving credit to EN/ID communities too much. The project needs to go viral for the majority EN/ID communities to even care. If the songs didnt became popular in JP there's no way it will in EN/ID fans unless we talking about memes here (and buying and supporting the project also a different matter)
@@gladewings1192Basically what I'm saying is yes EN/ID knowing about this and and spreading info out more everywhere from within each communities would've done a lot to blow Blue Journey up.
For gaijin bro outside Japan mostly didn't following members because music alone. And Not all of them are good or outstanding when it come to singing, (suisei are not the case) it more likely people not gonna touch them. For what i see, Hololive need more "core" streamer, to made fan come back checking. Miko, Subaru and pekora doing amazing, many girl got good number too. Koyori do her best at the job. How ever many members also not streaming daily anymore, they need other big one or two to bring in more people from Japan market for next 1-3 year.
I have to say I disagree. Streaming daily is great but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Almost all members stream several times each week, taking days off from streaming to work on other projects is expected and reasonable. The "homework" that the members are always working on are part of their monetization. Recordings, planning, practicing and learning. The products may be promotional, or they may be directly monetizable, e.g. voice packs, concerts, albums, blu-rays. Music has been very successful for Hololive, and now more than ever with Suisei and Marine leading Hololive music into the mainstream. The music might not be what you care about, but that doesn't mean it's not successful, or not what Cover should be doing. Even if we set music aside and only look at streaming, Hololive is doing very well, and even the less popular members are streaming to audiences that most indies could only dream about. The most popular members are topping the streaming charts. I'm really not trying to argue here, I just have a totally different perspective. I'm Kaigai-niki who watches JP streams and concerts, and listens to the music. I want them to pursue music even more, and even though some of the girls aren't great singers, that doesn't mean they can't perform great songs.
@@pinbot3779 agreed, assuming one has a normal schedule of an adult person, even watching 1 to 2 hours per day is already tough to keep up. In Hololive there are about ~25 members per day who compete for those 1-2 hours. There is enough content to watch.
@@pinbot3779 it mean to keep people attention daily to Hololive whatever news or project, we can't put all load on Pekora and Miko , Subaru forever (core member who streaming daily) All fan had their prefer members but for all new people still go to most popular rights? As she said, they can't just keep projects on life support indefinitely, they have to give each project the support it needs to have a chance of success, and they can't do that if they try to keep every project going forever.
their songs were such a banger tho, F
Im so disappointed. It had some really great songs and unique combinations of singers.
NOOOO MY GOAT CONCERT IS NO MORE T_____T
It was probably still the best 3D live I ever watched after HoloFest.
It's not GOAT if it's overhyped.
I was aware of Blue Journey but always had the conception that it ended way back. Not knowing that it is only closing down. Why did it take this long
My idea of Blue Journey was how Bloom was.
Still the performance and the songs are bangers though and it is a shame they didn’t continue it
a rare lamy clip nice
I liked the songs and mood it gives off, such a shame.
I never really felt that BJ was meant to be anything more then a 1 and done so this isn't to shocking to me
Projects like that, ones that are more niche can be hard to keep going.
Though i will say, cover does have a template for what could work as a smaller project
The outfit is S-tier at least
gotta admit i never really understood what it was other then a whole bunch of the girls getting identical outfits for some reason.
i thought it was a one-off project like bloom
I liked the songs and live (very no frills unlike that bloated summer concert)
I also liked how it gave the time of day to girls who usually don't get it as opposed to the same names the that get everything.
But that may have been its undoing; taking the less popular route; Char was right
Only complaint was Aki didn't get more songs
Maybe they should downscale it a bit to better manage the schedules and resources. Like different members per season.
yagoo must have been so relieved that regloss project is so well received after the 1st stage.. imagine having such a bomb in several other projects.. it must've been nervewrecking. so glad for the regloss members
At least he knows why people watching Hololive, specially from outside Japan. Made regloss working with Hololive members actually help good promotion for them.
At first people still hesitate to follow them because music and song are not main thing fan follow the members
The separation and then failing to communicate why they are separated almost killed them as a project.
Awh what a shame TvT i love lamy
Same
Ah a shame they made some good songs under BJ. I always wondered why things like this often are under separate youtube channels. If it was on the main Hololive official channel I'm sure it would have done much better in the numbers.
bring back bloom 2/ bouquet 2, it’s what the people want 😊
Expected tbh.
Like most Kaigainikkis here, i also believe if the kaigainikkis knew about it. It could have been a whole different story.
yeah. Such a shame that they didn't promote, or release the CD, outside of Japan.
apolgy for bad english
where were you when blue journey die
i was at house eating dorito when lamy say
“blue journey is kil”
“no”
I would like to point out a small statement Suisei made about this project. She got an offer to join this project but she ultimately decided to not participate. In her words, the direction they wanted to go with the project did not sit well/complement what she wanted to do. That she decided not to join because of differing vision. Not going to put out any conclusions. I just wanted to put this out there.
man i sure do miss my BJ, it was so good
Ayo pause!!! 😂
Their Honeyworks projects is as big, might even be bigger, and it works. The problem with Blue Journey is that it wasn't marketed well.
I don't see any difference with Blue Journey from the usual Hololive group like in Holofest
I think I know why the project being canceled, it's because all talent have been very busy lately.. this show how considered yagoo and staff are, there is be a lot what going on in background that we don't know about..
What I look is :
First, they been more busy ofc
Second, Aqua was in that project too before, soo..
Third, it's all about mental health and health problem of the talent to be important
In this clip we know some of them want the project continue but I think this project will be on hold for the future plan.. 🧐
You assume too far. Just what Lamy said, the project was unprofitable. In other words its considered a flop and not worth continuing.
@@Cosmoman78 Yeah I think so too and I get where you coming from but this project is fine tbh it just not in place or not right time from what I look.
Yrah the thumbnails for their video and promotion was terrible as well.
@gladewings1192 of course, doesn't help that these days even new talents have little need for going outside the bubble
Yeah like holo earth why they use new channel.. if I'm yagoo I think I should replace the planing guy dude :D
Because Fans really want is Entertaiment, Gaming, Fun, Comedian & stuff like that, we dont care with idolshyit content
I honestly still don't know what it's all about
I didn't know this's a thing. I only remembered Bloom project. Guess they didn't market it enough
Putting it all on its own channel and seemingly intentionally avoiding putting the participating Hololive members into any of the imagery until close to the end, all for the sake of a number of dour, more emotional and less attention-grabbing songs...
How could this genius project fail!?
Does "project ended" the same as "project canceled"?
Takes courage to cancel a failing project. A lot of western companies can't even do that anymore.
Blue Journey was their attempt of an idol group with rotational members I guess. In the end, it made way to ReGLOSS technically hololive's first proper idol group.
Wasn't Blue Journey more centered around "songs with a sad theme" rather than any aspirations of it being a long-term project?
@StrikeNoir105E that was the original iteration, yea.
Even the teaser trailer hinted at that idea being that.
For me, that project too "parasocial" and too serious but if they can making blue journey like enigma project maybe they can make more profit
I dont see how Blue Journey is too parasocial for you. But I agree it tried way too hard to look serious.
I still don't know what the heck blue journey was
I kinda aware that Blue Journey end and they moved on to do song with overseas member.
o7
They have tried to go outside of blue triangle but not working. Weird how they have professionals but did not understand how music become popular, you can't just release the songs in vaguely then expect people would like it and become viral. Even world top singers need to do a tour for months to promote a new song.
Sadly they always try to throw something expecting it to stick. Most of their made up groups doesn't really took off.
Music idol brand only appeals to Japan compared to overseas. That's why Regloss also streams like the usual girls. As long as their main entertainment brand streaming is fine that's the most important thing.
Too many members.
Not have overseas member.
Tbh idk what project is this
the only hololive merch i have is a packet of Blue Journey candy. atleast i could buy holomerch locally somehow. got Aqua from the packet
@@gladewings1192 pretty sure it was EN tho that blew up the Hololive fanbase in the US with Miko's iconic GTA clip 🤷♂️ and many more GTA clips
@@pinbot3779I second you bro. If it weren't for Holo also doing music, I might not follow them as much.
@@pinbot3779 it mean to keep people attention daily to Hololive whatever news or project, we can't put all load on Pekora and Miko , Subaru forever (core member who streaming daily)
All fan had their prefer members but for all new people still go to most popular rights?
What i want to say is Pekora or Subaru it be more than 4 year working like this, they might has thing other than streaming daily in future, they want to do.
I didn't said Hololive stop on other projects or anything, it just they need to prepare build up someone who as good as Miko , Pekora, Subaru for next generation 2-3 year later.
@@ghostering8 lol streaming daily wont give huge audiences like those three wtf you on. Kaela streams way too much so why she doesn't have 20k viewers now and Gura rarely streams unlike Calli but Calli still cant get 10k average viewers per streams
Oh no....
Anyway...
