    The best way to start being vegan is to educate yourself in foods composition and nutrition. Start with a modified liquid green juice fast. After a few days of the fast your taste buds will be appreciative of ANYTHING you give it. That’s when you imprint new flavors to enjoy… also being vegan for the animals should be the main reason

    You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health.
    Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world.
    Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly.
    Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices.
    Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.
    Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer.
    Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game.
    A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility.
    Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun.
    Every city should be a bicycle city.
    Speak up for bicycles in your community

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello and thanks for commenting! It sounds like you are going to try this for a week and that's great! Keep in mind that veganism is not a diet, it is a philosophy. As a vegan we do our best not to cause animals harm and not to exploit animals. And of course diet has the biggest impact. But when people treat it as a diet and they ignore the ethics then there really is nothing grounding them in the event they are faced with an inevitable challenge like dealing with social pressures, enduring a bit of a learning curve, and not being prepared in a situation where there is limited options. As a vegan I have become a bit of an expert at handling these situations. But someone who is merely doing this as a diet is very likely to fail because 95 + percent of all diets fail.
      Now having said all of that, I understand your concern that you do not want to be hungry or unable to get full. While a lot of vegans have been doing this for a long time find it most successful and enjoyable to eat very simple, if you're not used to doing this then there will be a learning curve if you want to do it in the most healthful way possible. After all if you've never done this before it's not like you're just going to magically know how to do everything the best way possible. In short I often just say eat whole plant foods like legumes, greens, grain, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices in a variety of each. And it could be very helpful if you befriend somebody who is good at doing this that you can confide in if you're having any difficulties. And if for some reason you have any sort of physiological issues it may be ideal to consult with somebody who practices lifestyle medicine.
      My favorite resources in the beginning was the daily dozen app by nutritionfacts.org. I reference it on my website at veganlinked.com/govegan

    Primarily I shop in the fruit and veggie section of the store and leave, otherwise I see too many distractions, and get whole nuts and crack then myself. I get my spices from all legit non-GMO blends of spices from my alkaline water store. Also take seaweed bladderwrack, it is now flavored with non-gmo actual fruit, I e. pineapple, peach, mango, etc. Is there anything you recommend that I am missing or should change?

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds good I would have to look into that seaweed I've been wanting to integrate it into my diet, just not sure which kind. I use dolce and kelp flakes right now. In the most simple way I just say these 10 things beans greens grains fruits veggies mushrooms nuts seeds herbs and spices. And get a healthy variety of each of these. Great video/documentary idea! The one idea I heard over and over was to transition gradually. I don't see why, especially with all the products and information available today. If you want to look into going vegan, watch a few documentaries like "Dominion" and "Cowspiracy". If you can still eat a tortured dead animals body after that you aren't human and deserve the health consequences

      I feel you in promoting absolute. I advocate absolute. I actually encouraged some of these people into suggesting the benefits of it's absolute. Most of what Dr Barnard said for example was promoted by me asking if he agrees that going 100 percent is the best in his experience after sharing my perspective. There was some others too I had to nudge lol.
      It may very well be though that people need to be primed up for it. As much as I like to say I went vegan instantly after watching Gary Yourofsky's Best Speech in 2011, I really was primed up for it since the early 90's. I was already eating more vegan than most people 20 years before I went vegan. So, I've learned to recommend 100 percent because it's the best and only way to experience everything great being vegan has to offer. But at the same time I try not to push it like it's all or nothing because I understand it may be a bigger task for most than it was for me. So I don't give up on people and I have to back up sometimes... It's a tricky balancing act... anywho, hope that makes sense. I'm tired! Been editing too long today. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. And you're ultimately right, it's easier now than ever! So people ideally would give it 100 percent for at least a few months to really see how awesome it is!

    • @Wearephuct-O
      @Wearephuct-O 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@VeganLinked Agreed. Food has a very addictive aspect to it. We see people who are so concerned about their appearance they go to great lengths getting their hair done, their finger nails painted by a professional, inch long lashes glued onto their eyes, lifting heavy iron plates at the gym, buying expensive [ugly] cars they can't afford, spending big bucks and enduring excruciating pain to get ink permanently driven into their skin, but they don't care about their abnormally deformed obese bodies? Three hundred pounds but I gotta wear the tight clothes, midriffs, and thong at the beach.
      So I understand how difficult it must be for some people to eat plants instead of dead birds if dietary choices is your main concern. But going vegan, because you realize what we are doing to other animals for our meals 3 times a day, every phuking day is something that should cause you to change your life NOW, realizing the lies that you've been fed. pun just realized

      @@Wearephuct-O I think these people lack true love too... I videographed a vegan recently 70 years old and vegan his whole life. His parents loved him so he trusted their decision to raise him raw vegan. That love empowered him to become a great person, a strong community member, lawyer and magistrate, raise his daughter vegan, etc, and plants where just fuel to do great things. When we talked he asked me, why does it just not click for certain people. All I could think to say was love. Apparently I hit the nail on the head because he lit up and started sharing how he felt that was quintessential to his strength and healthy decisions. He never did drugs, no caffeine even, no medications, no doctors, etc. Just great things!

    Why do vegans push soy to eat? Soy in US is primarily GMO in the US and not healthy in any form, unless fermented that is not available in US.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most GMO soy goes to feed livestock. Soy can be bought Non GMO and organic very easily. I'm not aware of any problems with GMO soy though. Most vegans I know don't even eat a lot of soy. It's a super food for sure, extremely nutrient dense, healthy, and protective against chronic diseases like cancer. So, what are you talking about exactly? Here's a video on nutritional science with a doctor of medicine and he talks about soy during part of this great talk. th-cam.com/video/VfQtq4YTPso/w-d-xo.html

    Why does no one ever mention the question of reincarnation? Could it be that we may reincarnate as factory farm animals, especially
    if we are involved in the purchasing of animal products. It makes sense. Why should these innocent animals reincarnate around and
    around in an eternal circle of suffering from one life to their next life and we reincarnate as humans forever? The universe doesn't work that way. One way to motivate people to go vegan and to boycott the animal cruelty machine is to show them this simple truth.
