The part where Rambo is explaining how is buddy blew up...reminds me of Chunk confessing all his bad choices in The Goonies.

I love the way this review was closed out because we know he will review the other films in the franchise and we know where this franchise is heading. There is a long game being played here.
I'm glad I grew up in the 80's and went and saw this in the theater with my friends. We were 12. No one cared if you were 17 or with adults. Saw Porky's there too, earlier in the year.
I had my son read the book for a homeschool project and we actually got to talk to David Morrell the author. His story is even more somber and insightful than the film and *spoiler alert* Rambo dies in the book. They filmed that and it didn’t test well with audiences. You can still see it in an outtake clip available online.
Also, another fun fact, the extended edition has Rambo having a flashback of visiting a very naked prostitute in Vietnam. Not something you want to be unaware of when you invite the guys from church over to watch it with you. Yes that happened to me.

Yeah he’s very easy to talk to online,at least he was about 8 years ago and I assume it’s the same now. He responds to emails quickly and is willing to engage in discussion
One thing in the book that was diluted in the movie was that none of the characters were entirely wrong, nor entirely right.
Teasel was being an arsehole, but Rambo was deliberately pushing him and even acknowledged to himself that the chief wasn't a bad person. Teasel took the situation extra personal because he never got to be a father and was projecting some of that angst onto the young man he was up against. Also, he was a veteran of the Korean war and felt some regret for not being more sensitive toward Rambo after learning of his record.
The prostitute is also the girl that they gonna pick up at the airport in Big trouble in little China
3:31 Galt's dying screams and another cop's painful screams from the movie were used in the classic arcade game Golden Axe
Dude, there are random Dairy Queens all over Washington, and Oregon. Truly! You'll be in the middle of nowhere and go around a corner and there's a damn Dairy Queen. My lady and I travel all over the PNW and joke about this all the time.

Honestly, from a small Nebraska town, Dairy Queen is huge, and the Braizier is nothing short of our town squares.
I just watched First Blood on PlutoAction and knew I had to immediately rewatch this. Now, they’re showing Rambo 2 but I don’t want to spoil it by rewatching your video on it, until it’s over. So I’ll be rewatching your Halloween 5 video but of course, I can’t just start there, so I’ll rewatch all your Halloween videos, then go back to Rambo 2 video. And I just realized I have no life….
Dude this was pretty much my exact reaction when I first saw Rambo. I saw the sequels first then watched the original. Let’s just say my expectations were slightly subverted 😳
It’s one of those action movies that could be called a film.

The biggest sign you know someone is being a poser about movies is when they reveal two things: A.) They don't know that Jason is NOT the killer in the first Friday the 13th movie...and B.) they think the first Rambo movie is just Stallone with a mini-gun killing everyone in sight
I was 6 years old the first time I saw this back in '83. Loved it then and love it even more now.

Rambo isn't really supposed to be a Hero in this Movie. This Movie is more about Highlighting the Problems Vets Face Coming Back and How ignored those Problems are. To that End it does a Pretty Good Job.

On the way to Mt. Hood. There's a very small town near the mountain. And they have a Braizer Dairy Queen.
I know the difference between the book and movie. But in the movie. Rambo had all these deadly skills to kill. But Rambo never killed one person in the movie. And the only person to die was due to his reckless actions.
If you want non stop action… may I recommend Stripes. Yw.
