Hiding a Centaur pedal instead of showing it at the forefront is probably the most subtle flex Paul has done recently.

99% less likely to get stolen too.
It's practical though: it's a large pedal that takes up a lot of space. So rather hide it. Makes sense to me and I'm also Dutch? I mean, I am Dutch, but well you get what I mean, right?

From Hendrix, to Gilmore, to Frusciante, to Johnston and quite literally everywhere in between, this board looks like it can do it all. Bravo.
We know you didn't mean it this way but that board is a nightmare if the player doesn't know what he's doing, esp. 'sitting in that mix'

I can't get over those sexy "parallel" pads he can make. It would take me SOOO long to set this thing up haha. Thankfully it has a *lot* of presets because it's a job that probably never quite gets finished. Even in this vid Paul was fiddling with the pedals that were already being controlled by MIDI. 🤣

i would hear the shit out of an Album full of the electronic ambient guitar sounds showcased by Paul in this video. He is just noodling along and it still sounds so much better than so much music released nowadays. Oh by the way awesome Pedalboard in such a boss color.

The fact that that pedal show doesn’t have at least a million subs is crazy been watching them for a while now and they just don’t talk about pedals. That channel is amazing
If you like blues and/or dad-rock then yeah, they're good. Otherwise, they're just annoying gear snobs...
Some think they are snobs and they are up front about their opinions, not all of which anyone must agree with, but they are very open to teaching and sharing knowledge, and they have a lot of knowledge to share. And they are funny, and poke fun at themselves all the time, etc. They know their limitations which is why they invite guests on to rock the high gain stuff, etc.
A minute and a half into the video and I’ve nearly forgotten about learning about the rig....just literally blown away with your playing. Simply beautiful - hope we get to hear more!
I kept waiting to hear the beginning guitar part of Shine on You Crazy Diamond with that sound you've made. Killer sound, like a modern Pink Floyd; I dig it!
This is a truly beautiful video. Stop motion, camera angles, lighting, tones, musicianship, pedal explanations and examples of possibilities we're all quite stunning. Well done!
Paul I enjoy how dynamic your playing is. I enjoy watching players moves from soft to hard playing and know how to get the sound they want out of their touch.
One of the most epic pedal board reveals I have seen in a long, long time. Incredible playing and sounds as well. Can't wait to hear the new song!
The sounds Paul achieves here just make me cry. I love all of the techie stuff for sure , even the substantial chunks I don’t understand, but when it’s used right, by a truly gifted player mixing it up with the right palette... it just ... flies ....

i do admit that this is not as sofisticated as the set up from the youtuber above, but it suits perfectly the needs of some musicians.

This is probably the best pedal video ever. All the dream/wish list pedals... Can you please do a longer episode just jamming through the entire rig?!?! Those couple of sound clips were outstanding but easily could watch more

I would love to build a board like that one day. I have the majority of the pedals i want, but no switcher and never set up midi before (besides a midi controller)

Dan is a genius, sounds incredible. The dent in the lid is quite upsetting though ha.
Happend when shipping :) Schmidt Array reached out and offered to replace it, they where really great. In the end I didn't feel the need to swap it, since I'm more interested in what happens when the lid comes off.

@@PaulDavids I noticed the dent when you did the reveal part of Dan's Video. But I'm glad you decided to keep it and that a company went out of their way to stand by a product that had some minor damage that was out of their control. Two really cool attitudes (yours and theirs). And again, Paul those tones are just unreal and have seriously inspired the hell out of me. So glad you took the time to do this video right!

I play a little bit of guitar and i dont have a clue how to properly use a pedal board. What i do know is that i can listen to you playing with the different sounds forever. It sounds so awesome!

David, you have an even bigger grin than usual. Love the choice of pedals you have some of my favorites- CB blooper and Mood?! Microcosm, strymon gear? It would be my ultimate creative board. You sound amazing!
Fantastic! So great to be able to do everything on the fly, leaving the most room for creativity! Switchers and midi are such an amazing revelation. You should also try hooking it up to your computer and start sending midi messages with the gigrig to Ableton for looping! The ultimate handsfree looping device! Syncing tap tempos, trigging loops, recording, expression pedal to control filters/faders/tempos... like you said, only your imagination is the limit. Takes a little setting up, but it's worth it! Plus you can always keep that on a separate bank, leaving the triggering and recording buttons separate to all your effects. Anyway, congrats - sounds like so much fun!

Great video dudes. Man, I really need to get my board and the programming of my ES-8 in order. I just started jamming with 2 amazing musicians and our band is coming together quickly. i guess I have no choice now. It's great seeing how Paul is going to use his new board so efficiently.
