I’ve been doing the same. The bravery they all have is amazing. I think the worst is seeing all the poor little babies and children that had the disease. Just heartbreaking

Crazy how from his deathbed in that hospital in 1986 Ken is still shouting his desperate message of love and compassion. It’s soo loud!
People who died of AIDS in those scary early days were absolute heroes and their choice to go public and educate in order to save lives was soo important.
I only wish Ken would have known that his message is still so powerful and heard in 2023. Your partner and your family were wonderful.
Thank you for your courage, Ken.

watching Ken and Jack’s story brought me right back to 1986 in New York when I was so desperately trying to help feed, bathe, and care for my dying friends, all in their 20s. Most of them were shunned by their families. It was so hard watching young men waste away, and die a treacherous death. It's also about Jack having to go through the pain and knowledge that he lost his best friend, lover, and life partner, In the struggle that goes with that. AIDS touched everybody who loved these boys. I can't begin to tell you how much pain Jack and all the other partners went and in some cases, never got through.

His parents is what I aspire to as a mother to my two sons. Unconditional love no matter what they choose in life as long as it’s not hurting anybody everyone has a right to live their life the way they choose.
Ken did contribute to society during his short time here and I’m sure his mark is still around present. he added to make life a little bit more beautiful, Most do while they’re here.

what a wonderful couple and family- I remember this time -- how strange to walk from it. I have been watching so many of these video's. They are tragic and poignant -- the most disturbing thing-- in comparison we have not evolved into a more loving country.. just the opposite.. we have learned so very little about our humanity from this time-- we should be treating each other better than this.. god help us all. and god bless this couple that has to passed.

Please reseach the recent following medical breakthroughs of HIV medications, a pending HIV vaccine and pending HIV functional cure(s) that all could mark the end of HIV/AIDS:
      (1) The FDA approved per-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) injectable medication called *Apretude* , developed by Viiv Healthcare, is injected in the buttocks, as an infusion (nanosuspension), one month apart and every two months thereafter, or can be taken orally as a pill called Cabotegravir (also called Vocabria).
      (2) The *Trogarzo* (Ibalizumab), developed by TaiMed Biologics, a HIV1 medication is an intravenous (IV) infusion given over 15 to 30 minutes every two weeks. It is a combination used with other antiretroviral medicines to treat HIV1 infection on adults who have been on different HIV1 treatments regimens in the past, resistant to other antiretroviral medicines and currently on an HIV1 treatment regimen that is failing.
      (3) Early results as of July 2022 of the new antiretroviral medication called *Lenacapavir* (LEN Gilead Sciences) is being studied to treat and prevent HIV infection. This HIV drug belongs to the cupsid inhibitor family of HIV drugs, which lenacapavir is made to prevent HIV from multiplying and reduce HIV in the body. Lenacapavir is currently in Phase 2/3 development of HIV treatment and in Phase 3 devlopment for HIV prevention. Lenacapavir may not work against HIV strains that's resistant to other HIV drugs. If lenacapavir passes Phase 3, the data gathered in the current clinical trials will be sent to the FDA for review and approval. If FDA approved, lenacapavir would be taken orally every six (6) months.

This combined vaccine has been approved by the FDA to start phase 3 trials, with the first patent dose with the mRNA HIV vaccine in March 2022.
(5&6) The two HIV gene therapies utilized as functional cure for HIV1 are called *AGT103-T* , by America Gene Technologies and *EBT-101* , by BioTherapeutics. These two are currently in human clinical trials, with a full release of results and hopefully FDA approved between 2027-2032.
