    Tom died July 11, 1987. His final words were "Well, this should be interesting"

    I read Tom's Wiki.
    Dr. Tom Waddell lived 100 different lives in one.
    Now that is one interesting man!

    Tom's partner at the time looked like he was suffering the worst with AIDS.

    I would have loved to have met him. He was such an amazing human and had a quite a successful life with the time he had.

    Another wonderful precious person gone too soon. We can't help wondering what would have been. At this time of filming he had only 3 months to live.

    What's so sad is that the Azt killed him faster. It probably excellarated his symptoms and shaved years off his life. So sad.

      Yes alot of ppl dont know this. Ppl got worse after they started azt treatments. I tell ppl this and they look so surprised. It was a very horrible medication but was all they had at the time. So sad😢 RIP TOM HE DIED 3 MNT AFTER THIS INTERVIEW.

      @@MistressKarma6969AZT is still used. Just at a much lower dose and in combination with other antiretrovirals. It’s given to babies born from positive mothers to prevent seroconversion. And it works, it’s a beautiful miracle that babies can be born negative and kept negative by a drug with such a history. It was used so very wrong in the beginning, but regardless, until it could be combined with the drugs created in 1996, it does not matter what dose, it would not have helped someone with HIV.

      @@lepanhmaninterferon is still used in medicine today, it saves lives. I feel like medicine was trying to throw everything it could to try and save AIDS patients, but they got it so wrong.

    Wonder where the kid and "wife" are now? Does anybody think about them at all?
    He seems like a very nice guy & didn't deserve to die. Just wish people would think more about what's best for the child before bringing one into situations like this. Even though he didn't know he had it at the time, he knew it was a possibility. He had no romantic relationship with the child's mother & it feels like they were just doing this for themselves with no thought for the child. They could've just as easily contracted it as not.

      You know what,? My father is an abusive prick. He emotionally, and verbally and psychologically abused me all my life, and even now tries to gaslight me all the time, Id rather have a loving, kind, empathic man who was Gay who LOVED me than some evil so called straight man who I have.

      I bet you that his daughter Jessica doesn't think he was being selfish.
      Both Dr Waddell and his wife were both professional adults who wanted a baby. She grew up in a community of love.
