Man I don’t think it’s as good as the side u normally fish but there are some fish to be caught over there. I think they’re targeting baitfish so they’re kinda picky and it’s more snaggy so I don’t know. It’s worth a shot tho.
Those look like a lot of fun on light gear, did you just fish them on the bottom with a weight and not a bobber? How did they taste, no weird smell coming from a city lake?
I fish them on the bottom and bobber set up...always fun on ultra light gear as for the taste I gave it to my in law...they say it tasted fine like any other Bluegills.
What size hooks do you use for them bad boys and catfish went today for the stocking and skunked I think I had to big hook and too thick line I had 15 pound mono on the leader but nice catches

!5-pound line, ya use 6-10lb line and size 6 hook, been fishing there since mid 70s when I was a youngster, Not sure if you know this but after paying for permit and etc, if you pay an extra $13(might be little more now w/everything went up) you can fish campers lake 6-7 which aren't heavily fish

I use 10lb omni flex mono and size 4 owner mosquito hooks...hope this help.

@@diegogonzalez1824 For catfish I use a regular size circle hook for got the size...its the red ones I think they are owners or gamakatzu hooks.
