Awesome video girl! Thanks for making this comparison. I never heard about the Elvis. Thanks for the info!

My biggest worry with the haakaa was that it might lead to an oversupply, so for me, the elvie curve seems like the safer bet for more passive milk collection. For more active expression, when I'm away from the baby, I'll probably use a lanisoh manual pump.

I just ordered the haakaa because I’m due to have my baby in 2 months and am happy that I did.
I also found a “hack” to keep the haakaa on and hopefully prevent any spills while feeding baby at the same time and that’s using a hair tie to keep it in place by attaching it to your nursing bra so I’ll try that out and try figuring out the best way for me before my baby comes so that I’m more prepared lol.

that's amazing!!! I wish I knew about that hair tie trick!! yes just like in motherhood, with all things we just learn along the way what works for us haha! Praying for safe delivery for your baby :)

First time mom here! I think I am going to get both just to test out what will work better for me. I’m 34 weeks so I have been looking at a lot of review videos and Elvie is more recommended however this video made me keep in mind that I may be more engorged at first so the Haakaa may work better for those first few months. Thank you for your honest review!

Baby and mom is currently sleeping. Watching while trying to read your lips lol. She has a haaka and I want to splurge on an Elvie single for her

Besides for wearing while feeding baby, when feeling full or etc, how long should you generally wear the elvie curve/catch or other suction/catch pumps?

I was an overproducer so I had it on pretty much every hour 😭

Thank you so much for this review! Because I want to use it when baby is feeding from the other breast I think I am going for the elvie... I am still a bit torn though 😅

You dont need to wear a pumping bra with the haaka?

    • @NurseKirsten

Not with the original haakaa because it won’t fit into the pumping bra. But the elvie curve can fit into a bra very nicely. However suction isn’t as good as haakaa so lots of things to weigh out. In the end having both is best :)

I'm obsessed with my elvie. I'll pop out in my bra when we are out and about to be able to delay pumping

if only the elvie had the same power suction as the haakaa without digging into the nipples it would have been perfect. PERFFFECT. but unfortunately it didnt T_T and at the same time the haakaa is not wearable so ughh!!! why don't we have the perfect product yet?
