  • The Harley Davidson Road King is broken, the clutch has gone. Rene tries his best to get us back on the road to continue the tour but finds something he has never seen before!
A 3 week tour through Europe, riding some of the most spectacular roads, in total we do 48 mountain passes on our Harley Davidson.
We take a few days to get to Geneva to meet with the tour group for the Stunning Switzerland tour offered by www.tour1.com.
Like the Tshirt - Designed by Carolyne " A Harley with no noise, is like a woman with no BOOBS"
Want to protect your long hair whilst riding - try a Bunneze hair protector, I wore it throughout the tour, it was fantastic!

This was great!!! I am a old man with tears in my eyes as I write this. When a rider breaks down in uncertain area and a man/stranger come to help. This man is really a angel as he has great knowledge of the bike and its repair. Once the problem was found and determined the repair and parts where on hand for the repair. You could have been sitting at a dealership and waiting days or weeks for parts to arrive. This was a great story and great video. Thank you to Rene for helping a stranger.

Wow. Just wow. When I called, you told me it was bad and that Rene was looking at it, but I had no idea just what a brilliant man he is. You were so fortunate to find someone so capable, so willing and so nice to get you back on the road. He is a mechanical genius. Tales like this are rare and really do put faith back in humanity and seeing one biker to help another is just fantastic. Well done Rene! Rene and Danielle were incredible, the biker community coming together to help out a fellow bikers.
Rene worked for over 5 hours straight to try get the bike fixed, finished well after 10pm and would have been happy with a simple handshake at the end. The fact that there was someone willing to help us was such a comfort. Rene said he broke down on his bike when he was younger and was stranded, someone helped him out so he was always willing to help those in need. We shall do the same.

Talking about a chance encounter - this one really takes the prize! Magnificent work from René and Danielle fixing your bike and giving you a place to stay for the night. René very quickly spotted the clutch was not adjusted properly and that quite a few screws/bolts were overtightened: additional hints your Harleys were not properly serviced and/or assembled. Also: a big twin Harley is indeed a high maintenance bike compared to most other bikes so it is rather important to find a shop that you can really trust your bikes with if you don't do the maintenance yourself. This can be a serious problem nowadays and I'm not only talking about H-D dealerships. Great vlog!

WOW, we need more mechanics like this that know how to fix the problem rather than drain the owners pocket of money. A lot of mechanics would rather replace with a new piece rather than take apart first to find the problem but when you know and understand the ABC's of a cycle it all becomes second nature. Peace to both and carry on with your journey.

@@BunnyKingHogs Oh you surely would have missed that trip. The issue with the rear spoked wheel still irks me. I would make the last place that serviced your bike pay for it all. The spoke check is on the mileage inspection list, there is ZERO excuse to not check it, and you were damn lucky to not go down. If your bike doesn’t ever feel right, your instinct is correct.
Remember, without the destination, there would be no journey, and I anxiously await your next adventure video. If you decide to come to SoCal, message me.
