@@AMNationMedia I live in the Bay Area of California, more specifically the valley. Houses out here are a minimum ~$500k. I used to work at Tesla and in just 6 months, I paid like $13-4k in taxes
Yeah I am with you but I live in cheap southern virigina. I only ever made 20K but because I am single I can survive and stll buy a lot with just that. If I had taken care of other people no way it would have worked.
Feeding a family of four for $600 a month is an accomplishment. One thing I have noticed over the years is that the price of food always seems to grow faster than the prices of many other things.
New subbie. I had to subscribe because your story is so powerful. You have the mindset of wealth so 30k defo isn't the final destination. I'm so excited to follow you and your family's journey.
Yep, I think this brother is going to be alright. Stay focused, have a concrete plan, and execute. Don't get carried away into fancy land. Make plans based on real world situations and realistic outcomes. Put in the work. Talk is cheap. Real men take action.

Great question. There's an interesting story behind that. I actually used a credit card that was 0% interest for 18 months and then paid off the card over a 3 month period. I found a used car dealership that accepted credit cards by just calling used car dealerships. I paid about $2k for the car, it was the first car I saw and test drove, I knew it was a good car and I was right. I have had it since November 2019 with no major issues. Thanks for watching!
You guys are doing great! I do worry that your degree programs are through a for profit that is not accredited. You should definitely verify your program and review starting salaries for your programs. I’m sure you did that, but just in case not. You worked so hard to pay off your debt!!!
You’re right! A few things have changed since this video. I did more digging and found that what i was pursuing in medical field was not for me. Recently graduated with an associates. Im now on track to complete my tech degree program. I have a new job with a new and growing tech company. We have doubled our income as of recently due to us both getting new jobs.
@@AMNationMedia Not to mention, your taxes are most likely close to nil with all your deductions/lower income. I pay more in taxes than most people make.

Fellow Indy native here so I had to click. Thanks for sharing your story. Please tell me you are getting the new monthly child tax credit. That’s like $550 a month for your family! Also, I am sure your wife has her motives in studying for massage therapy, but if you want to maximize that income she should be going for Physical Therapy. PT services are covered under most insurance, meaning it’s more expensive. And payment is guaranteed. A good PT can work with multiple patients over the course of a one hour session. That means you can get a better salary. Where as massage therapist has to work 1 on 1 with a patient. Good luck to your family! Keep grinding, your head is in the right place.
Yep child tax credit activated! And yes I encouraged her to get into PT. She was actually working in that field as a PT tech. The new requirements for PT school is more aggressive and entry into programs are more competitive. It is now required that you have a doctorate to become a PT, it used to just be a Master’s degree. The route she chose is working out for her. She’s connected with top massage therapists in Indy and got a job before she even graduated the program. You can make good money in MT learning from the right ppl.

Thank you for your comment. I invite you to watch some of my newest videos. By societal standards I got a late start to my career, I used my teens and 20s to pursue dreams, take risks, and fail at business ventures but I know where I am headed now. Our income doubled after this video.
Any healthy person in America with the WILL and good character can make it. One tip: no matter how careful you are with your money...you can be even TIGHTER. There are thousands of ways to save money.
I absolutely agree. I found more holes where we can save more. I couldn’t have found them if we were not diligently budgeting and tracking our inflow and outflow.
Very good video and thanks for sharing. This family of four might have an annual W2 income of $30K, but their living on much more than that once you consider the family is most certainly on medicaid (or full subsidized ACA), SNAP ($700/mo), the newly increased child care tax credit ($3600/child), and the EITC ($5700). So, the actual cash income is more like $51,000, $0 income tax liability, plus fully covered health insurance for the family. Not saying there's anything wrong with that.
@prettygirlus900 Thanks for the comment. I am a firm believer in being transparent. I would have let you know if we were receiving these things. I will be making another video about it. But just to let you know we declined snap benefits. Also did not use medicaid for my wife and i, at the time we were on her plan because we could afford it. Our girls are though because the insurance plan jumps super high for the full family. We have a conservative view on that. We dont want to use government resources if we can afford it on our own in which we can. We have never used or opted in to receive snap . Our tax liability changes. We do own two businesses and income has eb and flowed year over year. Yes we have received child care tax credit but it is the form of $550 a month which did not start until July of this year. We do receive the amount in EITC but that is a lump sum once a year in the form of a tax refund in which we never spend. The increase also came from us both being in school. Received about $4k+ in college refunds so that does bring it close to the number you mentioned. Currently at about $49k in income this year but we only live on about $30k
@@marriejames01 She assumed once he said living $30k a year. Adults need to realize every person don't want government assistance. Even when they are eligible for government assistance.

So you shouldn’t put down others that are simply here to encourage other people. We have been together since we were 15. 10 years would make us the age of 25-26 when we married. I have learned that from not being pushed you need a good circle of friends and mentors who will encourage you. Something that is lacking in black communities. What opportunities have you found or started? I have started and hustled in 4-5 ventures of my own. Which is why our income was lacking. I was and still am paving a road of my own.
