I watched a lot of in-depth reviews on this watch but this was the most practical and informative review by far. None of the other reviewers I had watched, mentioned that you could customize your workouts to suit your preset targets. I had an available budget of 200 Euro set for the Amazfit GTR 3 PRO, but after having watched this review.... what the heck. I deserve a premium treat! Thank you!
Thanks. Hope it works out as well for you. There's actually an updated Venu 2 now in some parts of the world. I'm hoping to get my hands on it at some point too.
@@hardwarezonecom You must be referring to the Plus edition of this watch. That's the one I'm going for. Hope it gets to Europe soon. I'll be looking forward to your review on it if you get your hands on one.
I'm a 46 year old male. I need glasses to read things close up but my friend has the Vivoactive 4 by Garmin and I manage to read the screen without glasses. I'm reading the venu 2 is a better watch. What are your thoughts on reading the screen? You are older than me so I'm going to assume your eye sight not as good as my younger eyes. But, apologies if I'm wrong and you have 20/20 vision.
I got this watch for its ability to pair wtih the UDisc app which is a way to keep score while playing disc golf. I no longer have to get my phone out after each hole to track my score. I can just reach over to my wrist and put it in! BTW, the most impressive part of your video was doing 3 sets of 10 pull ups. Well done.
Wow, really great review. Love your channel, style, and talking points. You should be way up there on the techie youtube guys. Keep up the good work! Talent!
Absolutely wonderful review 👏👏 I watched it for the second time, just to double check whether it's OK to say bye to Apple watch and get V 2 plus...mmm I am reluctant to.... I also noted, sooooooooo many touches to get a simple thing done 🙈🙈🙈 Garmin Pay is not popular in the UK, OK I can work around it, but it becomes even more headache at every transaction we have to keeping putting a pin ( again more touching) So I am kind of loss, whether to hold on till September for AW 8 or would Garmin will bring a another watch with better facilities/less touching before September..etc Again thank you very much 🙏
I think most andvaces model curently is forerunner 945lte, and its very interesting path with lte subscription. Venu sq is lite version of venu (no animated workouts, and different baro/alt sensor). Venu2 is missing strawa live segments and maps compared to top garmin models but very nice fitness watch, nice video, thank you.
Yep, the 945lte (which many thought would be called the 955) uses the same HRM sensor as the Venu 2. If I were a runner, I'd agree with you, but i don't need live segments/maps/gps for a gym workout, and that's exactly what the Venu 2 does so well. Thanks for watching. :)
Not sure if my question will be answered but I just bought this watch and I really want to love it but coming from an Apple Watch background I’m so confused how to use it. I use TH-cam videos and fitness app to workout like strength training so what do I use for strength training? Not sure what to click or press to use that option
If you do different workouts each day, to save on creating an ever growing list of workouts on the watch, if you delete workouts of the past will that mess up your tracking? i.e. is the tracking linked to the workout so deleting the workout deletes the associated tracking? Also does the tracking inc details of the workout, even if deleted from the phone?
I think it's quite the hassle to have completely unique workouts every day for this sort of tracking, but to answer your question, tracking details that have already been recorded will stay in the app/calendar/records, even if you delete the custom workout, or in my case, I've already reset and returned the watch itself. I can still see the "video workout" log that I did for this video.
@@hardwarezonecom Thanks for answering my question. To briefly give an example of different workouts, I may do a certain variation of squats in one workout but another variation in a separate workout and so on...hence the variability of the workout / exerecises
Hi, not sure if I should wait for Vivoactive 5? I have a Vivoactive 3 but not sure if I should upgrade now or wait for Vivo5? My main features I need are the speakers (new Venu 2 plus) and animated workouts.
Can't really speak about the vivoactive 5 since we've not tested that series. Animated workouts are there since the first Venu, just expanded. But it's really more of a quick guide.
I really like the explanation . Easy to understand.. please make video review on the upcoming garmin instinct 2 and probably comparing it with this venu 2 . As the price are similar at both side. Thank u for the wonderful video..
Thank you for you review. Great work! I have venu 2 and Im surprised how well it tracks want I do. I just hit strength workout and do pushups and it detects pushups, next i hit strength workout and do few sets of squats and it detects that i do squats this time.... I love this tracking possibility. Yes you mentioned almost every disappointment from them like left swipe.... But i really lack that recovery and training load tracking possibility from them. But more I use them more i realize that if they are Multisport, it's really hard to measure training load if it's not just running focused, it's really hard to make program that tells you you need to rest your legs because you did too many squads and run and dead lifts aso... So if you agree that venu i Multisport then i see why they dont include training efficiency and recovery into them. Its simply too hard to estimate this from point zero, no previous experience, Garmin simply don't know how to balance all kind of activities into one indicator.
Hey ! I loved the vid 😀 but i have a question about battery Life in venu2. I have 8.11 system version installed and after fully 100% charged it shows only 8days instead of 11 (like garmin says). How about you and the rest of venu2 owners ? Is it normal to stay only 8 days with No activities with 8.11 system or mine has battery issues ? No AOD, pulseox night only, autobrightness.
Finally a great review! Can see you put in a lot of effort in this one :) But I'm not sure if I want to spend $599 on this watch when compared to a Apple Watch.
@@pixelshmixel2705 Well I can assure you my Apple Watch does not. I tried the Garmin twice ie sent it back and purchased another also riding my motorcycle my Apple Watch is still accurate. Also Garmin was showing that I was counting steps when sleeping ie waking up and done 150 steps.
@@pixelshmixel2705 Hi I can assure you I had issues and I contacted Garmin and they confirmed it. Also on their website you will see the information on steps inaccuracy. It’s a pity as I liked the watch but if it’s not very accurate then it snowballs to your total activity.

Favourite review so far, good job!
Can the watch display the coordinates of the location we are in?
thanks great review.. appreciate the time it takes to put this all together.

Great review of Garmin venu 2.👍
Venu 2 plus just came out. Added a speaker and microphone, curious if they've improved the smartwatch ui portion of the watch
I've been following it...let's see when it comes to Singapore.
Great review - are you still using the Venu 2 or have you moved onto something else?
Great reviews with actual use of watch
is it possible to create custom workouts on the venu 2s please?
good n clear explanations on the exercises

Venu 2 can to workout trail run?
We didn't test this out, but there should be an option to add Trail Run from its list of additional activities. It's just not there by default.
Do you still get the tutorial videos when you create your own workouts?
I think those are limited to a few types of movements. Not every workout or movement has those videos or animations present.

Venu 2 doesnt have speaker. Have you heard about Huawei gt3? Mhmm maybe you will change your mind 😅
Returning my second venu 2 due to inaccurate steps.
Brushing teeth and it’s counting 200 steps.
All watches will count steps when brushing your teeth due to the movement of your hand. Wear it on your non dominant hand.
