When they have dementia and do a 360 if you don’t laugh you will cry all the time. My mom was very mean and sometimes she didn’t know who we were. She had a stroke that affected her speech and movement. She’s 85 years old and we love her dearly.❤❤

Not sure what growing up in that era was like for your grandma. But my grandma (acted) and my mom act this way and seem to get 😮 worse with age. Not sure if the era/living a "hard" life, poverty, and people were mean to my mom as she was poor growing up, or what? I can see Mami heading down this road and I'm trying so hard to help her notice how toxic she's acting and as she ages it's worse. I love my mom and I'm the main one that helps her, takes her out, and spends quality time with her but she is getting bitter now and more since my dad died. This is tough mama I applaud you xoxo I pray that I can be as strong as you. Que dios TE bendiga ❤

I am a home care nurse and I deal with a lot of clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s and it’s really really sad to see the difference from before to when they start getting the disease once they get to that level it’s almost like they don’t even know who you are they think they do but they don’t and they don’t know what’s going on around them that’s why one minute she’s cool with you in the next minute she fucking hates you lol all you have to do is exactly what you’re doing stay calm with her keep talking to her keep asking her questions over and over again and just ride for her and be her number one supporter and someone that’s just always there no matter what!! I’m going to be honest with you this breaks my heart and it’s only because I see this on a daily basis and I see it from when clients don’t have it and then as it forms and then to when they have it really bad and pass away and it really just hurts my heart to know that your loved ones have some things so bad that they don’t even know who you are but keep your head up girl you’re doing great with your grandmother and I’m praying for her and wish her nothing but the best!!! I enjoy watching you guys she makes me laugh and put such a big smile on my face!!!

Hey, love.. I just discovered ur videos this past week..now I am hearing your back story in this particular video. The fact that u have so much loyalty and honor and kindness ( as you were not raised w her in your life everyday..is even more amazing. I do believe from experience: past lives..hope that I don’t insult or impose..). She must have been very good: close to you in some other lifetime ..the what goes around comes around…came around. And u done beautifully. I give u mad respect and she is tough but funny as heck…And I assume that from ur comments she has passed over.. Thank you for bringing awareness to this ( I have also experienced this dis-ease..). U are a good soul: I hope that you and family are doing well. I betcha that ur grandmother is trying or has tried to get to you from another realm…That being said: I do not comment much at all on videos.. but I felt you and her deeply. God bless you. U done great gal.. u done great!!! ❤

We can’t take things so personal when dealing with the elderly with their dementia or Alzheimer’s.
They know not what they do.
Your normal is not her normal.
Agree with them until they realize what’s going on. Sing your responses and keep her in a good mood. Only we can make it easier for ourselves and our afflicted love ones at this fork on the road. This gramma is not a mean person. She is dealing with the fact that she is no longer able to be herself anytime. We MUST show her MERCY and LOVE no matter what she says or does.
Gods watching and HE will reward you for showing Gramma absolute MERCY and LOVE!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH HER, she is so very FRAGILE both Mentally and Physically! I wish I lived closer, I’d come over and help and keep her company! How we deal with others is how we will be treated when we get older and it’s our turn to need Help, Patience and LOVE!!
We LOVE YOU AND GRAMMA, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ITS EASIER ON YOU AND HER IF YOU USE PHYCOLOGY WITH HER…
She feels lost in her head, make her feel safe in your care… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I’m trying to figure out whether she was exploited. The granddaughter doesn’t show her any respect, just dropping package on her and laughing when Helen clearly did not want to participate? Are there any videos where grandma seems happy around her ?

    • @JT-ok6re
      @JT-ok6re 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@user-sc6ie7yq4e I'll have to explain something! You have to encourage people with dementia because their mind will go even faster. My Grandmother had dementia God rest her soul, and she could be the devil. My auntie took care of her and she used to call her horrible names and hit her. She would accuse her grandchildren of doing things that they were not doing. And the crazy thing about it is,... my uncle's had no idea or knowledge about dementia, and they would even question their own children if it was true 🤷‍♂️. So I don't think Tasha is exploiting her at all. I think people need to see what dementia is really like. Until you take care of someone that's in that situation you have no idea what they go through.

Thank you. My mother recently passed away from Alzheimer’s. I was able to learn so much from you and your posting. Your love, patience and the fun easy way you dealt with her is incredible. I know it wasn’t always easy. I was able to laugh more than I cried. Your postings also helped me to not take the disease so personal. It’s not their fault.

I was a caregiver to my Mom,Dad and Aunt too. When my mother passed, I took my sister in. She has been with me 17 years now. She has never walked nor talked!
I use to take care of 13 patients in a Health Care Facility for two years, Then I went back to School, and took care of 19 patients in Skill Nursing for three years while caring for my special needs Son, and homeschooling him!
I had joy im my heart the whole time too.
When COVID hit, I was attack in a horrible spiritual way. I almost gave up, until I heard Tim Timberlake's message, Pregnancy Brain; and my hope was rekindled; and his continual encouragement, God used to pull me up and up from the pit! Thank you Lord Jesus glory to God!

You are so BLESSED to have had the OPPORTUNITY n BLESSINGS to care for your BEAUTIFUL GRANDMOTHER. Your blessings are endless….it is REFRESHING to have you as an example to all those who have grandparents… please the joy of caring for a grandparent or elderly parent there is no such blessing. No such sense of fulfillment. They are difficult. They can be extremely difficult, but they are difficult. The memories the lessons the laughter no amount of money could ever come close may the Lord bless you and your family and may you continue to I don’t know if you have any kids but teach your kids to be just like you, you did great fabulous and you are so blessed to have such an amazing grandmother, feisty and real as they come. I know my mother will be very much like her. My mother’s not at that age yet mom will turn 71 come August 14. She’s fights already. She’s been feisty our whole lives, but dear God, it will be an honor to care for her.

I just recently lost my grandmother a few months ago. And watching these videos helped pulled me through. I didn’t have any family near for support. So I had to grieve and go through everything alone. These videos were all I had. I don’t know how I came across them. Every night for three days, I could not sleep without listening to these videos in my ear. Somehow they gave me a sense of comfort. And now I still go back and look at them from time to time. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing.❤

I just stumbled upon your page a couple weeks ago. I love grandma so bad she reminds me so much of my mom in her final stage of life. Although it’s not funny her confused state of mind, She makes me laugh. My mom was the same way in her last month of life she was confused and mean and she couldn’t control it. My sister and I always found joy in her final stages even though we knew it was the end. Watching grandma makes me feel like I’m watching my mom.
