Me too. It’s very entertaining. I’ve taken care of a dementia relative. She would laugh at me a lot and ask for her sister that passed years ago. Oh, she thought the tv was talking to her. It takes a lot of patience and give them activities like they are in charge. They dislike not having their independence any longer. Awww RIP

My grandmother was the same way would always fight us and talk about everything she goes back in time and it really doesn't have anything to do with you and if people don't have it in there family they will say ugly things about you until they walk in your shoe's they will never know your pain that you are going through and my grandmother would say bad words to us all and make my aunt cry a lot. She never said bad words but all at once all kinda stuff came out of her mouth prayers going up for you because you are a beautiful and strong woman ❤❤❤🙏🙏

I'm getting a lil confused, she said her mother was taking care of Ms Jackson until she had a stroke and became sick herself, then the granddaughter took over caring for her grandmother, so where do her Mom couldn't do it fit in?? She stopped because she became medical needy herself. she/ Tasha also said her grandmother gave her $25.00 every year for her BDay, it do not seem like Grandma hated her to me, if she acknowledge her B Day. there are many stories to be told on Why this or why that. Amen I so agree with your comment and I too was my Mom's caregiver for at least 2 years. before I got the diagnosis from her Primary care Doctor,and he still didn't tell me until my Mom's was already in the last last stages of On-set Dementia, I 😢 cried so many times wondering why he didn't want to tell her children that she had On-set Dementia 4 years prior before we found out, Unfortunately My Dear Mom's Passed away November 1st 2010.

My grandmother used to go off on me when I would try and jog her memory about who I am because in her mind I was a 12 year old girl still... she said my children were here grandchildren but had no idea who their mother was. 😔

Yeah, hang in there. It's tough hearing her say mean and cruel things to you, but you're right, she has no idea what she's saying. Trust me, she'd love to hug and kiss you but this disease makes people not themselves and they can be really mean at times. My Dad has dementia too. So I know first hand.

My grandma didn’t like me or my sister on my dad side ! I remember I was 4 n my sister was 8 and we got out of school early one day it was the blizzard of 1998 and the snow was up to my whole damn body I was 4 or 5 and we lived n the same complex as my dads mom we lived in a few apartments down from her apartment, so we went to my grandmas house because my mom was at work and the school didn’t call my mom n let her know School got out early they just let us walk home so when we go to my grandmothers apartment we can hear her walk to the door and look out the peep hole n than she try n act like she wasn’t home n walked away from the door n we was cold and hungry n wet from snow ❄️ ⛄️ we had to walk all the way to my moms job at Kmart my sister was only 8 or 9 and I’m glad she knew how to get to our mom job and when my mom seen us she was so mad my grandmother did that to us like but that’s how much she didn’t like us !!! Or my mom !! But treated my other cousins the best it was hurtful!!! So I don’t think I would have been able to care for my grandma but Wait I’m a sweet person I think I maybe could have it’s just if she acted like this I would have been hurt to death n that’s how I wouldn’t have been able to do it it’s not I would have been angry or had hate no not at all I would have been so hurt I wouldn’t have been able to do it u know what I mean kind of how her mom can’t handle it you know !!!! I had the Caucasian version of your grandma. Grandma hated women, loved men, could turn bitter and mean in a split second. She never like me but I ended up being the one doing her errands, not my brother who she called "the light of her life." Interesting.

Amen I so agree with your comment and I too was my Mom's caregiver for at least 2 years. before I got the diagnosis from her Primary care Doctor,and he still didn't tell me until my Mom's was already in the last last stages of On-set Dementia, I 😢 cried so many times wondering why he didn't want to tell her children that she had On-set Dementia 4 years prior before we found out, Unfortunately My Dear Mom's Passed away November 1st 2010.

My grandmother used to go off on me when I would try and jog her memory about who I am because in her mind I was a 12 year old girl still... she said my children were here grandchildren but had no idea who their mother was. 😔
God bless you. I took care of my mother with Alzheimer’s and understand your challenges. She has since passed away so cherish your grandmother and create wonderful memories of your time together. She is such a joy to watch🙂
She won’t let her she trying but grandma don’t like her n didn’t before she got sick !!! She’s doing a amazing job caring for her grandma despite the treatment n she will be truly blessed really!!!! My heart goes out to both of them n I keep them both in my prayers n I pray for god to give her the strength to continue taking care of mom and pray for god to soften up granny a like if possible we know she can’t help it but I still pray you know !!!!

Yeah, hang in there. It's tough hearing her say mean and cruel things to you, but you're right, she has no idea what she's saying. Trust me, she'd love to hug and kiss you but this disease makes people not themselves and they can be really mean at times. My Dad has dementia too. So I know first hand.

My grandma didn’t like me or my sister on my dad side ! I remember I was 4 n my sister was 8 and we got out of school early one day it was the blizzard of 1998 and the snow was up to my whole damn body I was 4 or 5 and we lived n the same complex as my dads mom we lived in a few apartments down from her apartment, so we went to my grandmas house because my mom was at work and the school didn’t call my mom n let her know School got out early they just let us walk home so when we go to my grandmothers apartment we can hear her walk to the door and look out the peep hole n than she try n act like she wasn’t home n walked away from the door n we was cold and hungry n wet from snow ❄️ ⛄️ we had to walk all the way to my moms job at Kmart my sister was only 8 or 9 and I’m glad she knew how to get to our mom job and when my mom seen us she was so mad my grandmother did that to us like but that’s how much she didn’t like us !!! Or my mom !! But treated my other cousins the best it was hurtful!!! So I don’t think I would have been able to care for my grandma but Wait I’m a sweet person I think I maybe could have it’s just if she acted like this I would have been hurt to death n that’s how I wouldn’t have been able to do it it’s not I would have been angry or had hate no not at all I would have been so hurt I wouldn’t have been able to do it u know what I mean kind of how her mom can’t handle it you know !!!! My heart goes out to you and your mom n grandma !!!
