St Denys - and an attempt to be 'artistic' across the platforms. An unknown 'actor' enters the stage as a freightliner drones past and is unmoved by a Voyager - but retreats when 4492 Dominion of New Zealand arrives. Unfortunately, the sun moves into the gap between the platform canopies at the same time and washes out the view. A leapfrog of the train while it made a waterstop at Eastleigh allows a more conventional run past at Shawford, where 4492 is reaching a fine gallop as it heads north on its way back to London.

Actually I like the artistic or atmospheric footage & the 'actor' just makes it for me. Whether through a lens or shading our eyes, the sun has often 'got in the way' and that glimpse across platforms or between platform buildings is what we all too often have to remember. For artistic shots - have you looked at the video footage of 'Dotaku' on TH-cam? - his contemporary French railways footage, rather than the Japanese scenes. Thanks for sharing this, but all your footage is a class act!

I went on this train last year (when it was 'Bittern'!), and the loco really did seem to do very well.

@Heroduothecomedian - no, they've dressed up 60019 Bittern in garter blue and skirts as 4492 Dominion of New Zealand...look at 'Bittern renamed Dominion of New Zealand' vid by 'railwayvideos'.
