Hey Guys, DVF Automotive for another video, today i took another car from my work and this is a Citroën C6 with the 3.0 TurboDiesel engine with 240bhp, in this video i do the first test drive to see if the car runs good and if everything works properly.
This car is just amazing, probably the best French car i have ever driven, really comfortable and beautiful luxury sedan.

La Citroën C6 è una bella automobile, con molto fascino. Io ho sempre apprezzato le ammiraglie Citroën. Dal 1995 al 99 ho posseduto una Citroën XM e dopo una parentesi Alfa Romeo e Jaguar, sono tornato ad acquistare un Citroën, prendendo nel 2011 una C6, che guido tutt'ora con molta soddisfazione, anche se ormai ha all'attivo parecchi chilometri......
Come si comporta sulle buche e gli asfalti rovinati dopo diversi chilometri? Consuma tanto in città?

This is the type of fantastic car that intelligent car people just get and the people who claim to be 'car people' but see cars as nothing more than a flex dont. It is a brilliant car, proper engineer's car. I love it, hope to get someday. I loved the video and watched the ads in full and clicked to support u.

Bought 3 HDI new 2012, love it 80,000 miles, 3 HDI's are more economical than 2.7 HDI, I often get 37mpg, mixed running. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

C'est le 3.0L HDI et il fait 240cv..je ne pense pas que la 2.2 hdi donc 173 cv ait la version exclusive avec option cuir

This looks awesome. Okay maybe the interior is not so high quality looking except the seats. It has that hydropneumatic suspension, so the ride is good as expensive cars. And 3.0 hdi has power.
The engine is exactly the same as they've used in several jaguar models so it should be strong

After 3 years of excellent C6 driving after 5 DS ,2 CX and 1 XM ,this car is the fullfilling of my dream! Only the parking brake is without the instructionbook an horror.

In general, the American people are very conservative, they do not have much interest in cars and they drive many kilometers. This causes them to break cars that need "a little" maintenance. That is why the Toyota or Honda are successful, they are simple and robust, but they are not "interesting"

Magnifique voiture, elle fait partie des plus belle réussite psa dans son temps. C'était le haut de gamme magnifique bien a la hauteur d'une bmw série 7 au vu de ses équipements avec ce moteur qui était équipé dans la 407 coupé GT 3.0 hdi v6 241 cv c'était un excellent moteur fiable, robuste et très puissant dans sa gamme de véhicule chez psa. Je like car excellent essai, à quand un essai de Peugeot 407 berline ou coupé ou bien Peugeot 607 ??
Heu ... plutôt à comparer à une Bmw série 5 e60 (une 530d dans cette version) car honnêtement la série 7 ne joue pas dans la même cour. Les hauts de gamme français de cette époque (607, C6 et Vel Satis) visaient surtout les classe E, A6 et série 5 de motorisation moyennes car au delà il n'y avait plus matière à rivaliser.
@@francoisthailande2440 comfort in c5 and c6 with biggest package and this 3.0 engine is way above a6 or 5 series....maybe more comfort than s class

This thing is rarer than Rolls Royce in my country I was so blessed to live close to many Citroen owners they're mostly daily drive Xantia and XM and when the occasion comes then I even see some take their silver DS for a spin and also a green C6.
I still remember no other luxury car impressed me as much ever since sat in one of these back in 2004 motor show.

I’ve been looking at these on Autotrader UK. The price difference between vehicles in similar condition and with little difference in mileage, whilst also having a FSH is huge. Surely the respective model spec can’t influence their desirability and value to such an extent. I hear they are slowly moving towards “classic car status” and have the potential of being an appreciating daily driver?
They’re certainly going up in appreciation now that they’re approaching their 20th anniversary, thanks to some influencers, buy yours before it’s too late.

Really interesting car. But why did even French buyers decide for Audi A6 BMW 5-Series or Mercedes Classe E?
In 2009, the 407 got a revised dashboard with different controls plus black gloss plastic, as well as an upgraded navigation screen (which the RCZ shares), but the C6 looks like it kept the previous version. At least, like the 407 Coupé, it also got the 3.0 HDi (though in far greater quantities), but I can't imagine that hydropneumatic suspension will remain fault-free.

Btw they sold C6 with 2.2 hdi too, it is not that good engine for the C6 but it is perhaps cheaper.

I'm affraid of the C6's maintenance(Amvar and other electronics) but i love it, so i am compromising for a C5 with hydractive suspension and Exclusive trim. Is there a big comfort difference in favor of C6.

Always loved the side and especially back view; less sure about the front. The interior is good but should have been wackier with revolving drum instruments like in the wonderful Series 1 CX!
Only 1000 of these were sold in the UK 23000 worldwide, finding a 3.0 HDi in the UK is pretty impossible.
i started with an citroen ax, worked my way up to the xantia and then to the c5 ph1 ( 2.0 & 3.0 v6 ) and now the c5 ph2 2.0 exclusive. The new c5 ( 2006 - .... ) i could not care less about them, because they are not real Citroën anymore...the C6 is the last goddess of the brand and i hope to own one in the near future!
I love how it looks, but there seems to be something unpleasant with the sounds inside. I'm not talking about wiper screeching, but the road noise feels loud (Probably it's partially because frameless doors), and the engine is maybe quiet (if measured in dB) and feels powerful, but it's too rough - like old school diesels from the 90s - like in W124 or early tdi. It kinda doesn't fit in such sophisticated limousine. My dad had xc60 with older D5 5-cylinder diesel and it was similar - very strong and giving the feeling of power but not so smooth. In volvo it wasn't a problem for me, but C6 has different style. I'd love to drive a 3.0v6 petrol C6, but these are so rare. The newer diesels in modern cars are almost indistinguishable from petrol, but this one feels too 90's/early 2000s.
I am sure that the microphone is highlighting low frequencies by a lot, just check out how unnatural the index clicking sounds. Otherwise the characteristics seems smooth and harmonic compared to an average 4 cylinder diesel, especially when it's revving over 3000 rpm.
Good and nice, there is no doubt about that but...Audi is the king with Mercedes on top.French cars are budget compromise...
not the best looking exterior in my opinion, but the interior is better than mercedes and bmw’s from that time. i’m assuming this car was a lot cheaper than it’s competition as well

Great car, but it has incomprehensible details, such as a steering wheel 'excessively' similar to that of the first-generation Dacia Sandero. It is not reasonable for that segment even though the C6 was out of date in 2012.
Beautiful car, but I am amazed there is no cup holder. The engine is adequate. It is truly a different kind of luxury

V6 Diesel, probablement le dernier de son espèce. Du moins sur une française.
Et oui effectivement le tous dernier v6 monté dans un véhicule psa soit un véhicule français le plus puissant de tous puisque 241 cv c'était le moteur monté dans la 407 coupé phase 2 finition GT la plus haut de gamme, très bien, fiable, et puissant c'était sans doute le meilleur. Dommage qu'il n'y ait plus de v6 aujourd'hui chez les française je confirme étant un grand fan de psa.

I'm a little disappointed that you can hear the engine all the time. Thought it was a luxury car, but well. The C5 II 2.0 hdi from 2009 you drove some time ago, is more silent inside the cabin, than this C6. Besides that, it is an icon in the car industry. ;)
Well it is a V6 so it makes "better sound".
@@temelon C5 also comes with V6 engines, both 2.7 and 3.0. Both are more silent than the C6. -Do your homework before replying to car professionals. ;)
