      If I buy a used Citroen c6, and the suspension needs repairing, are there even shops for that? it's not a regular suspension.@@captainwin6333

    I test drove one of these a while ago. Nice car and very smooth but a little seasick inducing and floaty on the motorway.

    Very nice interior.....And the exterior of the car looks like......?

      I definitely agree! Unfortunately I was unable to get an exterior shot of the car, but it has a very quirky and distinctive appearance in true Citroën fashion.
      I highly recommend that you look it up online, it is the 2006-2012 generation.

    Interesting car. How does the ride quality compare to that of the Mercedes 600 SEC and Cadillac Seville STS? I'm curious because I've never driven a Citroën with hydropneumatic suspension.

    • @Auto_Lore
      @Auto_Lore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Quite unique indeed! The hydropneumatic suspension is impressive and really lives up to its reputation. In my opinion it is just as good as the Mercedes W140 S-Class and better than that of the Cadillac Seville STS on decent roads.

    Great car it just floats on a good roads at higher speed but suspension is not so soft at bad roads. I had Citroen C6 but never really had time to enjoy this car because most of the time car has been in autoservice and during that time fixed broken heater flaps, AC, electric parking brake, starter, three blown up coolant hoses... then finally overheated engine and sold this nightmare with one of the worst diesel engine ever built 2.7 hdi

    • @Auto_Lore
      @Auto_Lore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the suspension is the strong point of the C6. I think it rides just as well as some high-end luxury cars that are far more expensive.
      You are right that the reliability of the PSA PF3 platform is quite poor. I can really relate to the issues you had as my family owned a Peugeot 407 for many years back in the day, having virtually identical problems to those you listed. It cost us more than €15,000 in repairs to keep it running, so definitely not cheap cars to own.

      @@Auto_Lore With a bit of a delay to the discussion,but yes! The 2.7 and the 3.0HDi's are pretty hefty to own and maintain. They really like breaking the crankshafts without any good reason. This,and pretty much a few other things. If You want Diesel C6,I suppose 2.2HDi is the best option,but it's a really damn slow thing. Otherwise,3.0i is great one,that has a lot less issues,but it's still,not a very very dynamic car. I wish these engines were more reliable,so that people can actually afford owning a c6.

    • @valentinexristov8915

      @@antoanasenov4860 Hello, And yes. The Diesel engines are manufactured together with Ford at the time, and Range Rovers and Jaguars also have the same engines in similiar cars like the C6. Obviously, it was the Diesel era back then, and a large number of the cars sold back then are diesel, but still, I wouldn't try to own one of these. If you want the C6, get the petrol. I'm saving for one myself. Cleaner, less problematic, and you can put LPG with it.
