Taking this C5 from my work from my dealership for a test drive, this car was actually for sale and it drives like new and this is probably the smoothest sedan i have ever driven.

I drove the very same set-up from the same year 330 000 km. Smooth ride besides that lurch which can be seen in the video too. Techincally robust model. No electric issues. Nothing too serious in terms of repairs. Just loved it.
How many kilometers did you drive it ? Not 330 000 yourself supposedly ? And what repairs did you have ? I only had to replace an alternator at 180 000km so far
stephane stephane I drove it from the very start. As I did with my previous C5 '04 (275 000 km). Repairs were basic stuff e.g. ball bearings for front wheels, breaks, parking sensors (BOSCH quality).The only "major" things were a driving shaft and a Webasto heater (this was like 2000 euros). The importer changed front suspension cylinders under the warranty. Also, the hood was painted under the warrenty. I had the car for 7 years. No electrictiy issues what-so-ever apart from German Webasto and Bosch brands.
The best suspension in the world, France it's very good comfortable car, very good choice, I think to buy and me the same only for suspension and the space to have this car

I have the 2009 exclusive with the 3.0i V6 gasoline and I love it!!! The interior silence is incredible. Only you hear the engine over the 4000 rpm and is a beast!
The petrol probably is nice and quiet, i can hear the diesel in this recording and it's annoying compared to the other engines on this channel.
@@RennieAsh But the newer petrol engines (VTi and THP) are made by BMW and unreliable so you'd have to stick to older ones

I loved that the steering wheel’s centerpiece stayed in place when this car was brand new. It was such a unique feature. But now that I’m a grownup and have a car of my own, I think it would drive me nuts.

Une question est ce que dans cette vidéo la boite auto réagis normalement des fois on a l’impression que sa patine ou qu'elle passe une demie vitesse ou alors encore qu'elle reste bloquer sur un régime moteur et que la voiture prend de la vittesse autre chose quand elle rétrograde alors qu'elle est pas en pleine accélération le régime moteur monte légèrement pour retomber au bon régime, enfaîte c'est la première fois que j'ai une boite auto la mienne réagit comme dans la vidéo est ce donc normal?
Il faut savoir qu'il y a communication entre les calculateurs BVA/moteur. Tout ce que vous décrivez est normal. Une boîte à convertisseur présente un glissement plus ou moins important. C'est normal, Tant qu'elle ne passe pas en défaut il faut la laisser vivre sa vie. En revanche très important une vidange s'impose tout les 80000 kms . Réalisable soit même en respectant la procédure et en resetant les "auto adaptatifs" de préférence. Pour le reste c'est une boîte très fiable. La mienne a 2000000kms. C'est du bonheur. 😉
@@stylusium76 Salut, tu a mis un zéro en trop là ? merci pour ta réponse, je m'était renseigner avant car ma C5 BVA fessait pareil et donc sa m'inquétter, pour l'instant elle a 108 000km je lui est fait deux vidange par gravité a 87 et 89 000km

Is it really that soft as people say? The car is heavy because of the suspension. A Renault megane grandtour is like 400kg less weight and with 16'' wheels on the renault the difference cannot be that huge? or is it really?

Oui, car il existe même des versions en 19 pouces.

@@Kxlvyn7 Il se sont trompés, car si c'est bien la 2eme génération (2008 et plus). 80% des versions sont en 17 pouce d'origine, tu n'as qu'à regarder sur Leboncoin.

C5 with hydractive suspension, by far. It's not even close. C5 even with clasical suspension is more comfortable.

There is no 3rd generation. The 1st generation was produced from 2000 to 2007, with a facelift in 2004. The 2nd generation was produced from 2008 to 2017, with a facelift in 2012.
