I just got a new Manco Rattler LXT go kart like 5 hours ago. It has Dixie Chopper Excalibur tires on the back and a predator with a tractor muffler and it also has a torque converter. Thanks for making great videos! You guys and Roadkill are my favorite things to watch on TH-cam

hey guys, I've been a firefighter for thirty years, and have helped restore some old trucks. your linkage rod looks like one that goes from the gate valves on the pump to the pull levers on the front panel, allows you to open the inlets and discharge ports for various connections of hoses.

Just got a kart for my son and changing the brakes from drum to a mechanical rotor, so this definitely helped!
Gotta be my favorite back yard build with old fire truck chain and bars. I like junk yard builds that run and are cooler than any store bought thing you can buy

I watched some other videos about go-kart stuff and they have all this fancy stuff and brand new parts. But I bet you most people who make go-karts are in these guys shoes. Not in a bad way, but most people are just building an old glkart out of old parts and maybe a few new bolts here and there.
Yeah these guys are obviously sponsored and earning that way. If your like the average wheeling dealing just trying to make a few bucks off of a project you can't afford to put $500 into it because no one will pay that much for the finished product.
You should do some sort racing mower. Like Fearlessfront. But CarsandCameras style.
Do some internal motor work! Easy stuff like governor removal, valve springs, maybe even bottom end and top end work! Great vids, love they way you just find a way to make it work at the end of the day.

have you thought about doing PVC pipe over the tires to make a "Budget Drifter"? That would be an interesting and easy episode. Keep up the entertainment fellas
they need to do it! but the best way to do it is to find pvc smaller than the tire, deflate the tire, put it on, and reinflate the tire so it doesn't fall off

May i ask how you got the gas peddle to work? Im trying to build one with a snow blower engine but their really isnt a way to take the throttle and move it up and down with a pedal.
I found a racing go kart on eBay for like £350 so like $550 probably and I am not sure it is worth it or not. I might be getting this one because it is the only local kart I can find. It's a 125cc 2stroke engine. I am new to karting so I don't want to spend too much but this is the only kart I can find near me. So do u have any tips on finding them like any other sites or something. Or would it just be better to ask around. Thanks in advance

+GamerJetic i bet you could put some taller tires on the cart to get more ground clearance on the cart without modding the frame. i would turn the steering wheel and check how close the tire comes to the frame. if there is plenty of room look for some tires. good luck
+Isaac Jennette That listing has expired however i found another for £120 so $190 but i am not sure if it is to far gone. it has duel honda 70cc engines, live axle, however it is pretty much all beaten up except the chassis. the engines need new carbs and it looks like the front two wheel axle things look bent. do you think i should go for it or get some other go kart?
Oh boy, I have used that type of cable and I have to say is STAY AWAY. Unless you're using it for a hand throttle of a lawn mower, bicycle cable all the way. And I feel your pain when you were riding in the rain. It's all fun and games until you hit a puddle.
Hey guys, wondering if the mechanical caliper kit would work on a yerf dog 3202? The sprocket rides on the left side and it has band brakes on the left right now. Also will aa cable work for the mechanical caliper?

Y'all should shoot F and F a message and do a show together. Like a go-kart build off and race or something like that. Is this brake kit for a 1 inch axle or 5/8 inch?
my mechanical brake rubs slightly. Currently my frame is just a roller but its not friction free. how can I adjust the brake so it wont rub or scrape?

hey i just got my first go kart (thanks to you guys:)... but i have a problem... it accelerated really fast yesterday but now when i run it it doesn't launch nearly as fast.. could it be the clutch... Thanks for your help!
You guys could add a "hand brake" on the right side of the cart which also operates the brake caliper, but with less linkage in between. that might work well for drifing then

Another amazing video! The $50 cart is becoming a cart for real boys. As someone who is mainly into mini bikes and snowmobiles (ski-doos) I was wondering if having the engine mounted off centre as is the case in many carts effects the feel or balance. Also i dig the look now with the life axle and the longer wheel base, it's like a stretched super bike. Another thing, what a shifter cart or the difference between a 'normal' cart and a shifter cart.

I built a Complete DIY drift trike with a 50 2 stroke 6 speed Yamaha engine, for just over 100 € 7hp, but it's fast as hell because of the gearbox.

Yeah I've got a mini bike with a 100 cc motor. Slow as hell but fun for trails, I might swap a preditor motor at some point but for now I'll stick to my ski doo which I just got new rings for and hopefully will be able to get it running for the season

Here is an idea. Why not just move the brake peddle over the left side with the gas peddle? All you would have to do is make a pivot for the peddles and put a one-inch spacer between the peddles. Then you would have had a straight shot to your brake caliper. If it still didn't want to return right, put a spring on the caliper arm to help pull the cable and arm back. No spongy peddle.
Is this the reason my go cart tire won’t spin unless I put pressure on it?
This is a question for anyone who might know something about disc brakes. How big of a kart can a setup like this handle? would 300lbs kart + rider be too much?
you want the sprocket and the brake rotor closer to the wheels so whenever you roll over a bump or a rock you'll have last chance of the sprockets for the rotor getting hit if you had the sprocket or the break in the middle you have a higher chance of something hitting it
