If they go n the right direction with the exhaust this thing is going to e very torquey.. If they do a 180 degree header it will make crazy torque and sound like a indy car.
It would look awesome in Stainless or in Titanioum going up 2 on ech side up the side of the engine and backinto one in the middle of the engine out the center rear as one big tip over the top of engine
@@mikepelz7004 That's what I saw when they said "kart frame" and showed the basket. It reminded me of a documentary where it showed the belly tank racers and how the frames are built. If they do it (fingers crossed) I hope they take it to the flats. wtallant1 made a comment on a 1985 Honda V30 Magna engine he has that got me thinking. If geared right and with the right aerodynamics this would be the fastest kart yet.
So happy to see the channel growing. Used to watch you guys with 100views! I've learned a lot just watching you guys have fun with different projects. I appreciate all your hard work, it's so inspirational for an inexperienced guy like myself.
really happy to see you guys do front brakes on this. you guys are slowly addressing all of the safety concerns! we just dont want to see anyone get hurt or worse! keep up the good work.
I like to kick back with a bag of Funyuns, a pretzel dog and a couple buds while watching you dudes...Matter of fact, I can't say that I can't say it but I can't wait till Mondays and Wednesdays roll around to watch you dudes, I only wish your episodes were at least 20 minutes long but no longer than 30 minutes!...I believe this is the best motor cart that you dudes built so far, you dudes are really talented yet funny!!
Nice. The bike looks good now, but whoever painted it skipped some kind of important step in the process- they either didn't scuff it wel enough, didn't use self etch primer, or something because the paint flakes off if you breathe on it wrong :(
I don’t own a go kart nor ever plan on owning one. I watch the channel cause you 2 are awesome. Love seeing you guys tear up some grass with your creations. Keep it up boys. Good job.
Awesome build guys, love watching y´all work on this beast. Maybe you can get some old mini cooper wheels, they might just do the trick.... Build on!!!
The more I watch this build the more I'm loving it!! Favourite so far!! This thing is a weapon!! Sounds Wonderful through headphones.. wish I was over there to hear this thing in person!!! Nice work with the front brakes... although smallish.. they look like they work really well!! Need them at 80MPH lol!! That Honda Trail 70 looks sex!!!!! Going to be a very pretty bike that one..!! Keep it up guys... you absolutely rock!!! Big cheers from Sydney Australia!
2:58 LMAO! nothing wrong with a ton of pre cut tape strips 4:15 John, i love your sense of humor. I got it! I stopped worrying about you guys a long time ago... What up Payton! You can just see the torque this beast has on the take off's! What a monster! It's getting there fellas!
Great episode guys, I have been subscribed since the $50 go kart build. Glad to see your getting bigger and doing more builds. I think you should bring more people into the episodes and do races, just like the old days with Taylor or Tobias, it would make the videos more interesting
tip if wanted... dont use sticky rim weights... use truck balance beads.. id use about half ounce of beads per tyre that size... just break one bead and pour beads inside the tyre and pump back up ( tubeless only obviously lol ) and they roll around self balancing the tyre! ive used and fitted them in multiple different size wheels being a tyre fitter and they work well! good job on the kart too!! its looking and sounding awesome!! i do wonder if its getting enough air through just them 2 carbs tho?? keep uo the uploads and great builds! is good to watch 👍

just got to 13:00.... if the back locks up before the front doesn't that increase your chances of oversteer when braking and spinning when coming to a hard stop? Like, you'll have less traction when locked up than when under full brake power without locking.
@@derschwarzgeist it's generally understood in racing that understeer is a safer failure mode than oversteer. Understeer just results in you ending up missing the turn, and is super easy to recover from; oversteer on the other hand is basically unrecoverable and usually means you spin out, which means you impact whatever you're going to hit at the wrong orientation. Head-on is kinda the safest way to hit things in most vehicles.
So the proper name of the basket is "Stokes Basket" in case you guys want to find a pun for the new project name. Fire departments carry them on their trucks as well. Another punny name potential.
Already have a name suggestion for the rescue basket cart, Because the shape instantly reminded me of it: That's the Casket Cart! And it would fit great if Ike could get the hearse running again! ;)
Headphone users are looking forward to the episode when you build an exhaust for this thing lol
so true lol
If they go n the right direction with the exhaust this thing is going to e very torquey.. If they do a 180 degree header it will make crazy torque and sound like a indy car.
Exhausts are very overrated
Lol, the accent was funny John. The cross cart is coming together real nice fellas...

This has been one of my favorite projects that they have done.

It's nice to have been able to watch you grow your skillset from tinkering to full on fabrication and machining.
2:50 Isaac makes the world's flashiest tape dispenser!
Make the worlds first hydraulic brake assisted toilet paper dispenser for really clean tear offs.
Hahahah
Isaac makes the world's fastest tape dispenser!
You NEED to turn that helicopter basket into a Bonneville Salt Flat kart! That would be epic.
I would like to go there. I hear it's the flattest place on the ball
just wrote the same thing, its made for the flats...
Like the Belly Tank Racers!

Guys, I just bought a huge eBay wing. Send help.
Now all u need is sheet metal to cover the exposed frame for aerodynamics etc. Can't wait to see it painted
Cover the body and paint it blue
the title say font brakes not front brakes lol
Now it does standing burnouts
@Daniel Seaman love that show

This has been my favorite build of y'alls
Thanks man
Mine too.
The areo kart should be able to do at least 100mph minimum
Put the 4 carbs back on and it will.
John really nice CT70. The fit and finish looked nice from what I could see. Great to see a cars and cameras project with a lot of detail
Best series ever.

That rescue basket looks like a perfect donor for a frame for a race kart!
The neighbors must love you guys. 😁
Thanks for the video.
The editing keeps on getting so much better. This one was a pleasure to watch. Also make that basket like a old 60s enduro 2 stroke kart.
It's really starting to come together very sweet !!!
Hi the best Motorsport Chanel on youtube
The best for go karts
Yo I’m in love with the cinematic edit
Awesome build guys, love watching y´all work on this beast.

I'm impressed by how much you guys achieve every week. Your fabrication skills has come a long ways since your earlier videos. Keep on keeping on!
Great job on those breaks!! Thing is SO cool.
Thanks!
That's a nasty little squater. I dig it. One of the best build series.
I want one of these BAD!!!! Great job
Thanks. We're really proud of the fact that we were able to keep it so compact.

Good job on the brakes

It says font brakes not front, just thought id let you know 🙂

At least it doesnt sat fort brakes!
But we all know that this kart is A E S T H E T I C right?
I wasn't into the project at first.. But I guys r doing a good job and I like it.. It's really looking awsome
I have the perfect power plant for the Stokes Basket build. How about a 1985 Honda V30 Magna? 500cc rated at 62HP. Water cooled v4.
Or maybe a later vfr engine for fuel injection

This should be the project name.... "Basket Case"...

For the basket cart- electric motor and custom aero fiberglass body! Completely different from your norm!
I dig it, but electric motors and batteries are expensive compared to gas. Maybe dual engines or a 2 stroke?
