    I have 5, they are the original black on black, the fully lumed dial, blue dial with pepsi bezel, black dial with coke bezel and finally the one you are reviewing. All with the Myota 8204 movement which is both hacking and hand winding.
    I love them. Amazing value for the money when you consider they're ISO 6425 certified.
    They are far more accurate than my SKX's. I can highly recommend them.

    Simon, awesome watch! I have the blue Promaster Eco-Drive version of this (BN0151) and I love it. By the way, Marc at Long Island Watch sells a fitted solid end link bracelet that fits the NY0040 case (product code BRAC-71). I believe he just released it. I bought Marc’s fitted jubilee bracelet for my BN0151, and it fits perfectly and is super comfortable. Great review as always. Thanks, Simon!

    Simon, the full lume dial was discontinued back in 2018/19 and the prices went a bit mad. I sold mine for £300 but always regretted it. They have now been reissued with that 8204 movement and crop up on Amazon quite often for £190ish but the batches sell out fast. I jumped on one a couple of weeks back and glad to have one back in my collection. Agree about the strap, I've been swapping between an Isofrane style and a Strapcode Super Engineer. Long Island watches have just released an oyster and a jubilee for these for about £60 delivered to the UK.

    I've gone to and from other divers, but I always go back to this one. The blue dial is a chameleon - it's blue sometimes and black sometimes. Mine runs -1 and did so right out of the box. As far as straps, I wear mine on a black Uncle Straps GL831. I also swapped the Uncle buckle with the original Citizen buckle off of the blue strap. This is the ultimate dive watch!

    I have three of these. One I bought in 1997 on impulse! My first ever citizen watch! And the watch that's cost me thousands since! The second one is also black but was given to me by an Italian ex Navy guy I knew way back that was military issue to them for over 10 years ! That watch had a 500m dive rating. The third one is as yours in blue, love them and the movement is better than most and my 97 year one is still perfect and is plus 4 second a day !
    The 8203 on them is non hacking the 8204 is hacking ,the only difference.

    I have one of these that is about 4 years old. I use it from time to time because I have several watches. However, I think it's a fantastic watch and an incredible price for what it offers, don't forget that it's a Certified Diving model. The watch can be a daily beater and can last for decades without any problems or maintenance, making it the right choice for those who don't have much money. Have you seen how cheap it is if it lasts all this time?????? The caliber it uses is surprisingly good and was created in 1977 and if Citizen never changed it, it's because they trust it completely. And if it breaks down (which I doubt) it's very cheap to fix or replace it. It is no coincidence that this model was used by the Italian Navy (Marina Militare) in the worst conditions for 10 years. Citizen has always been a forgotten brand... but it's not far behind other brands... How much would a certified Swiss diving watch cost, with a mechanical mechanism created by the brand itself????? Excellent video. Big hug

The changes they've made takes away the authenticity in my opinion the markers are slightly shorter without that point 12 o'clock and the bezel pip on the original is more originally retro plus the depth limits printed on the strap give it that totally original old school feal' like the skx seiko never changed a thing they didn't have too the original designs are the best in watch making why change it if it ain't broke .

    • @WatchtheTime
      @WatchtheTime  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ll have to respectfully disagree on the water resistance as a result of opening and closing the case back mate but I appreciate your feedback on the movement, it was said by mistake and I have touched upon that in many comments. Happy new year - be well 👍👍

    • @fuzzo4475
      @fuzzo4475 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @przemyslawpraski8985 Opening and closing a caseback multiple times WILL stress the rubber gasket due to lateral friction, and eventually tear it, obviously compromising water resistance. It's one of the reasons people use silicone grease when reinstalling a caseback; it helps reduce friction, all while rejuvenating the rubber gasket.
