I have both too and I like them. Like you , my favorite one to use on a daily basis is my Procision. I have had it for almost 2 years with no problems.
I love my precision cutter. It cuts chip board, self sharpening and cuts straight. My sister bought one after using mine. My lighter one got stuck on a shelf for back up. I didn't like it as it didn't cut straight.
I have had the smaller rotary cutter about 8 years and I love it. I even cut lightweight chipboard with it. Just recently changed the blade for the first time. I love it. I have an even older Fiskars with the tiny blade that I only use for interior cuts on fancy fold cards now. I have a hand rotary cutter from almost 30 years ago that I still use. Love their products.

I also bought the Cutter Pillar Pro. No fold, full size,light that shows exactly where you make the cut, self sharpening blade, lifetime guarantee, . The grid is in the plastic with a ruler on one side.
I watched a utube where the guy put some enamel paint on the surface, wiped it off and then all the lines are very visible as the paint stays in the groves making it the perfect cutting machine. It has a draw to hold papers and tools and is non slip. Comes in a box with a handle for storage. Live it
A mistake, I used acrylic paint which just wipe off with damp paper towel and dry it.
I fell in love with it too, but it is not affordable for me plus huge shipping costs 😢
I have both I have two of the big one,the smaller one I use for my chipboard as I found it doesn't cut the paper very good.

I absolutely love my Precision and wish I had known about it years ago. I have NOTHING bad to say about❤️❤️❤️
I have found the ones with the pull out extension over time don't cut straight. Hope this one is sturdy enough not to. The ones that did that though had the wire across it and wasn't a rotary but a triangular blade secured in plastic. The wire stretches and the blade falls out. blade.
I'm considering purchasing a second hand fiskars rotary bypass trimmer but its damaged according to the advertisement clear peices at the side of the smudge guard are damaged and so don't hold it in place based off of your trimmer does there seem to be a way to resolve this?

Did you say that you CAN replace that white strip when it wears?
You can turn the white strip over, and also take the white strip out and replace it back in the opposite way round, so you make a new cutting line on the same side.
And use when the original strip has been turned 4 times you can buy a replacement one. Hope this helps Julie x

Hi, thanks for the comparison. Enjoyed it. Have bought the rotary trimmer. How are you enjoying it so far? Hope it's still good. The procission is my next one at a much much later time in life. It costs a lot here in South Africa.
This was very helpful. I have the heavy Procision and the gap at 6 inches is my only complaint, so I put a pencil mark and cut at the mark. I was also looking for a lighter travel one as I go to crops. I bought a different one that just came out and no coupon. Had I seen this video 2 weeks ago, I'd have gotten the Fiskars with a coupon. lol
Hi, ik heb een vraagje: kun je zien waar je snijdt? Bv als je een foto of plaatje wilt uitsnijden.
Nee dan zou je er lampje eronder moeten hebben . De metalen strip is waar hij snijd . Daar kun je hem mee afkijken zeg maar waar je gaat snijden

Ik gebruik ook de precision cutter en vind hem ideaal, maar gebruik veel papier op 6 inches of 15 cm en ik vind het zo jammer dat juist die maten niet zichtbaar zijn. Voor zo’n duur apparaat zou dit ander moeten. Het apparaat snijdt wel geweldig en ik gebruik hem dagelijks.
This brand can be on more of the expensive side but there so good. I have so many of those paper cutters I pick one up everytime at thirft stores and if it's worth the price. The cheapest I got was 25 cents that was at Falling prices.

i TOO DONT LIKE THE GAP AND SEPERATION IN THE CENTER OF THE PROCISION. tHEY SHOULD HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO PUT THE HING SO YOU WOULD NOT HAVE ANY SPACE BETWEEN THE 2 PARTS
I would like to see an update for the procision. Just the same but then with no fold in it . I dont fold it . You ? I dont. I have it all the time in the same spot on my desk . I dont move it ever . So why a fold inside ? Hihihi
Ik heb ook de fiskars procision geweldig en de 2 smalle gewone fiskars met losse mesjes die zijn wel snel versleten helaas en het ijzerdraadje knapt ook snel. Fiskars kan daar helaas niets aan doen is niet vervangbaar. Verder super tevreden😃
Stel, je wilt een sleuf snijden 2 cm van het begin van het papier tot 2 cm van het eind van het papier, dat kan hier niet mee, heb je daar een andere trimmer voor?
Voor dit soort snij mogelijkheden grijp ik naar mijn ww r memory keepers 2 in 1 snijder. Maar als je een fiskars met de vervangbare mesje hebt kan dat ook daarmee. Dit kan idd niet met de ronde messen nee
vorig jaar heb ik een stampin up trimmer gekocht, deze kan het ook, maar die mesjes zijn heel snel bot en snijden dan met een rafelige rand...
Vervangende mesjes moet je dus heel vaak kopen wat de trimmer duur maakt.
Dit jaar zijn ze ook nog eens gestopt met de verkoop van de trimmer en ook met de losse mesjes.
1 grote teleurstelling dus die trimmer.

Je hebt de kleinere Fiskars nu een jaar. Hoe bevalt hij?
Ik sta in dubio welke van de twee te kopen. Heb al jaren de fiskars met kleine mesjes, maar ben het beu om de maand voor een tientje aan mesjes te kopen, en met de kleine tim holz guillotine kan je ook niet alles snijden. Heb ook de grote fiskars guillotine, maar die gebruik ik alleen om karton in bulk te snijden.
Een nieuwe trimmer is dus erg welkom. 😉
Ligt er gewoon aan . Ik heb idd beide . De kleine gebruik ik beneden als ik een try out maak . Of buiten wil zitten . Deze is makkelijk mee te nemen al veel gebruikt mes is nog steeds vlijmscherp. De grote gebruik ik iedere dag . Deze is iets fijner in gebruik omdat je niet hoeft te duwen om je mesje in het papier te zetten . Maar hij is groot . En zwaar . Dus heb je plek ervoor en hoef je hem niet iedere x op te bergen dan zou ik de grote aanraden. Wil je maar af en toe snijden en draagbaar formaat dan is de kleinere perfect . Maar zeker is zeker ze zijn beide erg goed en geen mesjes vervangen tot nu toe . Ik heb er nog geen hoeven te vervangen en ik snijd veel . De grotere kan ook makkelijk 1mm karton snijden . De kleinere ook maar dan moet je wat vaker eroverheen gaan

@@scrapqueen Sorry to say but I wish I didn’t have to buy the best new craft tools. My husband hates it. My house has been taken over by crafts. A friend once told me to tell him that I am a collector. I have pretty much tools for most crafts and most haven’t been used. However i try to learn all about them and one day teach privately the crafts. I used to teach sewing, ceramics, glass fusing, knitting, painting, weaving and was an Esthetician and makeup artist. I better live a long time as i have so much to teach. Thank you for your video.
