I have this trimmer and I love it for my card stock and nicer papers! My second runner up is the Hunkydory trimmer for lighter weight papers, but it’s great too! Thanks for the review.

I need to look into that, I've never heard of the Hunkydory trimmer, but I definitely need it 😃! I'm always looking for a good paper trimmer for my vellum, handmade, and decorative paper. Thank you for letting me know!

I'm thankful that at least one side cuts a nice crisp line. It's definitely going to come in handy when cutting cardboard. LOL, no matter how hard I try I can never cut a straight line using my scissors 😆

I'm considering purchasing a second hand fiskars rotary bypass trimmer but its damaged according to the advertisement clear peices at the side of the smudge guard are damaged and so don't hold it in place based off of your trimmer does there seem to be a way to resolve this?

What is the name of the tool you’re using to measure the width of the paper you’re cutting?

It's a digital caliper for mm and inches 😊

I bought this to cut my book board for covers. And it will not even begin to cut it. Idk if I got a messed up cutter? The book board is very dense but it is only 1 mm thick so 🤷

Mine had little ripples at the end of the pages, which I don't mind for certain projects, but I could never get it to cut like my smaller paper trimmers. I use mine mostly to trim down large stacks of card stock to use in my sizzix machine

Tenias q afilar la cuchilla primero.. Llevándola de un lado al otro, durante cierto tiempo.. Y ahí si, podrá cortar como mantequilla el cartón.

Most striprs you cut are not equal on both ends? Is that a coincidence or doesn't the device measure straight?

I recently created some mini notebooks and the the papers lined up nicely, so I think the measurement issues could be on my end because the thicker the stack/material type the more I tend to wrestle with it because you can definitely feel a whole lot of tension when you try to slide the rotary cutter. For me, using just a few sheets at a time worked better than cutting huge stacks of paper at a time.

Thank you for showing how this performs! I don't think it's worth it.
