I recovered relatively quickly but it was still bad and it's hard to imagine how horrible it'd be to live with that your whole life. It's especially sad when someone is proved innocent and everybody still treats them like they're guilty. Every victim should be listened to but that doesn't mean everything they say should be instantly assumed to be true, it means they should be given support and an investigation. Your word against theirs shouldn't ever be enough to ruin someone's life, we need more empathy and common sense

Social media is just a click away from your life being ruined. Nobody will give a damn about it. The juicy story that is out there is all for likes and power. As a man if you in that mud, your life is tainted forever, for no reason because the internet holds that information forever and never taken down. Sad world we live in now. How that would work practically seems would be difficult. It might be something worth looking into, but it does butt heads with freedom of information and freedom of speech. Defamation suits are difficult to win, and you sometimes have to prove malice or damages. I think it would also be better to hold liars more accountable legally and civilly. An example of this is with Junko Furato’s case (not sure if I’m spelling her name correctly- but search up 44 days of torture), as her torturers and murderers are currently free men.

It’s definitely a possibility or a definite factor in her choices. The problem we’re running into is we think in absolutes too much, it’s easier to interpret these kinds of situation when we remove the nuance or unique accounts that occur case by case.
We can see this in all sorts of angles where she is just an insanely misguided or sheltered person with immature ideas of intimacy. That simple touching is too much and regret does still play a part in her head. I have no doubt she is very upset and genuinely sees herself as someone who was harmed. Some people are more sensitive then others and we can acknowledge her discomfort, but also have to affirm when emotions are irrational and take steps to sooth that.
Her sober brain resents the drunk decision and is unhappy that her first ‘intimate’ Encounter wasn’t insanely positive or lead into romance or even a fond memory.
A generation of people that takes the letter of the social rules over the spirit. That are very hyperbolic and strict on boundaries and verbal cues. Yet are completely inept in acknowledging body language, and just handling normal social occurrences.
Young people mimic their environment and at this point I can’t even be surprised that we see trauma dumping to this level.

@@surette2012 I hear you, but if she genuinely believed that she was "S.A'ed" I think she should've gone to the authorities, which she didn't obviously. Because if she did she would've lost, and more importantly why come on the internet and cry about it, just talk to some friends or family? But she didn't and instead of talking to George that she didn't like that experience or that she was uncomfortable, in private. She decided to blast his name on the internet which was so uncalled for. And phrased the story in such a way that made George and his friends look like creeps. Don't be like "She's more sensitive" She's an adult and we can not allow this kind of behavior or else we're gonna end up with a generation that's actually messed up and requires verbal cues at every possible social or romantic interaction.

@@MCCB1999 oh yeah, her long winded and erratic post on Twitter before going private and just her behaviour in general…galvanizing all their mutual friends to go to war for her. It’s weird.
A lot of misinformation or lying by omission in a serious video claiming assault just seems off.
Adding actual incriminating details AFTER the first post with him groping her private areas.
Whether her immaturity made her sloppy when building a case against him, or she’s genuinely just being hyperbolic and lying I can’t say for sure. Thankfully I don’t live inside her head, but it means I’m just speculating…and I hate speculating.
While instances like these are rare, she seems a likely example of a person scorned for not achieving a romantic relationship and is seeking a favourable identity as a victim (the public loves a victim to protect and that attention means popularity or at least notoriety. A brave survivor mantle.) whilst taking down someone who rejected her. Two birds and one stone.
I can believe she has very real upset emotions about this ordeal…they’re just not rational.
She has a latent issue going on and her attachment is intense or something. I’m pretty much ace, as well. But it’s a spectrum and many do have a relationship to sex it’s just very different. It doesn’t mean aromantic and not liking physical closeness so I don’t get her trying to use that as some umbrella to cover any possibility that she could reciprocate physical touch in that encounter.
I hope she gets help, they can settle this behind the scenes and this can be the most unideal way to learn how not to deal with serious issues like this..or to play around with such things.
She’s in a tough spot where if it becomes laughably clear she lied she can get a Slander and defamation case on her. If she tries to go to court about the sa and it becomes clear she lied in whatever pops up in trial then we’ve got perjury.
I hope it can be settled maturely, but it became a mess the moment she made it a public spectacle.

The crazy consent culture we have nowadays is insane. This is just one part of it. The other thing is infantilizing adults (hence why she said "freshly 18"). They call men that date younger women (18-24) p3dos and I've talked to people that unironically believe that age of consent should be at 25 because "muh maturity" and also unironically believe that an 18+ year old can be groomed. Insane times we live in.

The age of our partner matters. For example being 19 if I’m seeing a guy who’s 40. That’s creepy and some could consider that grooming because there is a clear power dynamic. If he’s around the same age I’d say below 10 year age difference. I really don’t see much of a problem unless they don’t consent obviously.

"some could consider that grooming because there is a clear power dynamic"
There are power dynamics in every single relationship you have in life. It's a ridiculous statement to even argue about. Would you call Christians "groomers" because they promote a power dynamic where the husband ought to lead and the wife follow?

    • @BlazeGamerZX

The only reason I say age of consent should be 25+, because everyone wanna make excuse for their bad behavior. So scientifically your Brain isn't fully develop until 25. So everyone apparently still a mindless child until then. Hence the consent. So honestly at this point anyone having s0x under the age of 25 are consider graping each other. Even if both party under 25 consent.
But in reality nobody just suddenly become an adult by the time they're 18 or 25 it just depend on person by person sense of responsibility. That can happen at any age above 13. Knowledge and Experience are the real result of one maturity. Since we're basically forcing people to raise themselves this is the result. Honestly everyone just keep moving the goal post on what correct and what isn't because they don't wanna be held responsible for their own wrong doing.

Im 14 right now, and I completely agree with you. I like to think i'm knowledgable about this stuff, but really, i'm not. There was a week at my school where they put the boys through a class on how to ask for consent and whats ok/not ok. The dean of my school said we weren't even allowed to touch a girl if we didn't ask. For the girls, it was how to protect themselves from guys, which is a good thing, however they were not taught about consent the other way around. All this stuff being pumped into our brain, with female teachers saying "we should be scared because it will prevent us from SAing". I really started believing that until I talked to my female friends, who agreed that constantly asking for consent is stupid and unattractive, so I haven't experienced it so far. I have made advances on girls that I have dated, and sometimes they just say no if they don't want to go too far. Really cool to see someone bringing these issues to light, proud to be one of your subscribers.

'Strangely' isn't a great adjective to use in that sentence. You're fourteen, so are your peers - those situations haven't happened to you guys yet, but that doesn't mean they never will. Check back in with your female friends about the importance of self-defense and consent when they are 22 and you will maybe (if they trust you) get a fuller story.

i agree that girls should learn about consent too tho, and it shouldn't be limited to guys

    I've got a similar anecdote....
Once when i was a teenager, i was hanging out with a group of friends. It eventually got down to me and this one girl i knew. And we happened to walk past her ex bf's house house, seeing him outside, and stopping to talk to him because i was friends with him too...
She decides she wants to spend the night with him. I say, are you sure? I can still walk you home if thats not what you want. She says she'll be okay, and i believe her and go to hang out with my gf for the night....
A few days later we're all hanging out, smoking at her grandma's house, when her little cousin comes running in the room and tells my male friend "Hey, you should probably go outside". Hes confused, but he does it. And there is her current bf with a bat, yelling about how my male friend graped the female friend. She needed an excuse for where she was that night, so she claimed an attack that obviously didn't happen....
Thank goodness for him, the current bf was the only one on Earth who actually believed her lie. And it was 1010% a lie. They both admitted to me in those following days everything was consensual. And she was not a weak girl anyway, while...he was. Meaning if he did try to do something she didn't want, i have no doubts shed easily murder him with no problems. I'm talking about a girl who has literally chased me down, picked me up off the ground, and slammed me into it over jokes she didn't like. And I'm twice her size, and hes half mine. No way was he attacking her...
The current bf stood there yelling at him with his little bat for about 20 minutes or so while everyone watching was literally laughing at the situation. Until even her own grandma told her to go inside and stop making trouble for herself.
The tldr to this long story is people lie. It happens.

I really liked how you pointed out that whilst teenagers have technically been taught a lot about these kind of issues and know a lot about them, they’re still easily influenced by these influencers and very few people mention or recognize that. That is the biggest crisis for 13-15 year olds at the moment. They’re easily influenced by this stuff, even if they don’t realize it. Because if there’s any other age demographic which is easier to influence than kids, it’s teenagers. Because they are convinced they know everything because of how much they’ve been taught but secretly, they don’t know much and pretty much have an understanding of the world from social media. An understanding of the world which isn’t actually representative of the world but influencers like Caitibuggz realize all of this and see this as a golden opportunity.

Great video! I'd like to make a couple comments and offer my perspective.
It's not just affecting Gen Alpha. Some of us who are older, but weren't given good examples of healthy relationships growing up, are also being affected by this 'consent' culture (stealing the term from someone else in the comments). I'm almost 26, but I grew up in a fundamentalist, Christian, 'sex is a sin' culture, and thus, I also learned all that I knew from the internet, for my extreme detriment. I ended up going to a private Christian college where the lack of proper role models in that area only made the problem worse. It sounds like you had a fairly 'average' college experience (got around, was very social), so you were able to learn this on the fly during your college years, but I, and many others in my social community, still had to pick through it on my own via the only source I felt like I could trust. So now, seeing all of this about explicit verbal consent has, dare I say, scared me, into any missteps. I'm in a 5-year relationship and even to this day I'm always self-analyzing and trying not to overstep any boundaries. I think it's hurt my relationship overall. And I'm almost 26, I can't imagine what it's doing to these younger guys. Granted, I think teaching consent is a great thing, but it seems the pendulum has swung too far.
I'd also like to make a criticism of the generalization of women here in your line starting at 6:45 - "The only type of woman who wants this type of behavior...are women in the west who have recently been traumatized and haven't gotten over their experience - ". There are many women out there who just need some extra reassurance and have some more boundaries, and that's ok. Such a sweeping generalization is a little more broad and based a lot on personal experience. I know where you're coming from but I believe it might be a little dangerous to throw absolutes into the mix of a conversation that involves everyone at a very primal level. Human sexuality is a broad spectrum, even if you narrow it down to just straight relationships. Also, claiming that 'normal' women like to be led is toeing a little close into manosphere redpill territory.
No shade though! Great video that needs more attention. SA gets thrown around quite a bit on the internet and I think it's up to users and consumers to trust, but verify; something that the younger generation generally (but not always) doesn't have the self-awareness to understand. Thanks for making the content that you do: I find myself finding some sort of peace that someone out there is critically analyzing this information and providing some reason.
