his starts have improved hence his max vel speed, he was getting to max vel too early in his races but obviously has been fine tuning his patience in drive phase and acceleration. His body type will determine any need for significant weight training as often the additional load in a body like his may mean too much muscle mass too quickly, will no doubt be doing more plyo's and torso stability work, has already increased leg turnover so is getting better posterior chain activation. Could go sub 20 for 200m tomorrow if winds are favourable

Some nations develop and mature early as it is the case in many African/Pacific countries. These guys grow into their mature/adult bodies early or by the time other teens go through puberty. Sudanese people are the same. Let's see if this kid is going to perform sub 10s when he is 25 or 26 or will he run the same as he is doing now. I have seen this many times with talented juniors. Not only that he needs to continue training over the next few years the media hype does not help but could ruin everything as it builds unrealistic expectations that can affect a young person. Sudanese are not known for their hard working ethics no matter what one may say. It's just the way it is with many peoples who live in hot climate like them. They naturally move slower to preserve low body temperature etc. Let's see if this kid will have work ethics over the next 8 years and determination, discipline and committment as 8 years is the period required to build an Olympic level sprinter according to many leading coaches like Charlie Francis. Well done so far but only about a 100 people in the last 50 plus years have run sub 10. He has an amazing top end speed but there are many sections of the 100m race he needs an improvement and he will need to find a right coach. The current one may be too much of the "old school". I have my reservations but will continue to watch him and wish him good luck.
