Best Fitting Voices of Disney Princesses

- Hello everyone! So here's a rough idea of how I perceive each character and what I personally imagine their voices to sound like, i.e. a perfect fitting ;D But keep in mind perfect fitting doesn't necessarily mean it's my favourite voice. I should also mention that when judging a voice (for rankings) I do take fitting into consideration, though it's not the most important factor ^_^
EDIT: "fitting" does not mean what their native language is! Just thought I'd clarify because there seems to be a lot of misconception surrounding that.
I hope you'll enjoy it! xx - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
**can't understand everything**
**still watches it anyway**
Summs up my relationship with anime
Draknalor186 same xD
Sums up my relationship with all multi language things. It's so beautiful though, I can't stop myself.
Of course me neither.
sums up me with kpop lol
I’ve been studying French like for two years and just understood three freaking words.
Masturbando May I ask you where you‘re from?I‘m just wondering where people learn German lol :)
IJM :u meeeeee
I've been studying French FOR 6 YEARS I UNDERSTOOD NOTHING AJahekxjewjur stupid me
Same but I've been learning French for 3 years
Well, me i'm french so it's easy xD
Good luck ! You need it i guess x)
Why is French Cinderella so underrated???? The singer sang so beautifully 😍
I KNOW RIGHT!?!?!
THAT IS CORRECT
Like it in French just the voice was like a bit dry or something
Its probaply because nôt everyone speaks french
Ikr !!!
Russian Anastasia is gorgeous!! So fitting considering her real life counterpart. That scene gives me chills regardless of what language it’s sung in :’)
Meppity it’s really wierd since my name is Anastasia and I’m Russian 😅
In many russian schools graduates dance a waltz to this song at graduation :^)
The Broadway version- FUCKING CHILLS
I am Russian and still delighted to review "Anastasia". It's so magical cartoon ♥
Диана Бондарчук зачем ты им это объясняешь, тем более на русском, если этот мультфильм есть и на английском языке тоже и они сами в курсе, о чём там поётся?)
I think every German is just damn happy that someone actually likes their language
Yep😂 People aren’t saying it sounds like violent gagging!
I‘m german. Thats so true. We think everyone dislike our language and and are often unsettled
Mag sein... vielleicht ist deutsch ja eine komische Sprache.
T r u e xD yk...almost no one likes our language tho ;-;
omg yesssss - sincerely, a german xD
Damn, German Pocahontas sounds strong af.
Alioth Ancalagon
Ikr, I speak fluently in German and I’m just SHOOK.
@@kay-jo5lb me too, but its really good
She is the queen
She really is. The german voice actor was incredibly good-
German is kind of special. Either it sounds perfect af or it's shit.
(info: I'm polish)
me: there is not gonna be polish
*sees polish*
me:
me: excuse me
Same
O tak, też byłam w szoku XD
Polish is underrated
Również😆 Ale najlepiej bo Śnieżka to moja jedna z ulubionych bajek i pierwsza księżniczka jaką poznałam o proszę po polsku ! Na niej się wychowałam 💝
Same XD
4:14 why is nobody talking about the beauty in the danish? honestly it fits her so well
Denmark is proud of you my friend (im danish)
Ikr
Always felt like i missed out as a Child, watching all the movies in Danish (yes i have watched all movies on this list xD) but now i am kinda happy that i grew up with this version :)
Literally no one Cares
In that case, which movie was playing at 4:02
That's the only one I haven't seen on this list
baGby Sepins i dont remember xD but i acctully tried ro find it since i really wanted to watch it agin, but i do remember most of the plot :)
Why is no one talking about the Cantonese of Mulan? it sounded so cutee
I LOVE IT!! SHE SOUNDS LIKE AN ANGEL!!!!!!!! FROM THE ABOVE!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s supposed to be chinese
Same!
@@squidneyli719 It's not their native languages.
EXACTLY
Why aren’t any people talking about italian Esmeralda? She’s so sweet
Grazie :D it means ty
Such an innocent voice
I find it extremely ironic, since Italians are rather racist to the race she portrays the stereotype of XD
Most people are talking about it....
Being french myself I think it fits her more than italian. Joke aside both of the voice casts are very good imo
Ariel's one doesn't fit to me, she should have a young voice
I agree but it's this person opinion :P
I’m Icelandic, and I’m just happy that something Icelandic is in this video.
@@nowayhypo8209 Ég líka
Yeah i think maybe Swedish would’ve been nice
i think she has a younger voice in german im not sure anymore since i havent watched it since i was 5 i think
French Aurora is honestly so 👌👌
Slovak Rapunzel is so cute
Swedish Anna and German Elsa fits them so well OMG
And Polish Snow White is so FLIPPING BAE!!
The German voice actress for Elsa also did her Dutch voice (the actress is Dutch) and it is so good! She is a fantastic singer, honestly
I´m from Slovakia :DD
Suši me too XD
Suši same
Heeeeejjj, Slovakia MeTIngggggGgG!!!
Wow, the Cantonese Mulan's voice is beautiful!
Im proud to hear that coz Im Cantonese😊
+CHLOE CHAN Me too
agreeeeee😍
Yes. Just perfect
It is indeed, but I think that Mulan's voice is a bit more fierce than the singer's.
Pocahontas is such a good match.
Because she is so powerful and german generally sounds really powerfull to.
Dutchik i agree, but im confused, because she is a Native American, and if it is native languages, it should have been in a native american language, like Cherokee or Creek.
I think it sounds powerful because the singer focuses on that aspect when she sings that song. I've listened to many German (Disney) songs growing up and I don't think that it is the language that makes a song sound powerful/sad/gentle/angry/... but the voice of the singer.
Dutchik danke ;)
Laura Grabowski powerfull doesn't mean positive. The german language isn't the most pretty language. Sure is powerful because of how easy it is to make it sound like you are screaming.
And i had to take it for 4 years and do final exams for them. On paper i can speak german. Very impiropwr german since a german has seen our books. But still german
Dutchik ...it can be one of the prettiest and precise languages if you know how to use it.
I really liked the swedish Anna, it fits her happy personality
E m m i e same!
Lol du er selv svensk
- fra dine danske naboer😂🇩🇰
But yes the swedish version fits very good on her🇸🇪👌🏼
I think norwegian fits Anna and Elsa the most ( in my language ) jeg tror norsk passer Anna og Elsa mest
I prefer Norwegian just because it's more fitting to the story
Video: Finnish
My brain: don't say it
Dont say it
Dont say it

You know a song is beautiful when you don't understand it but it still touches your heart
Sandy Angel ikr
There's something seriously magical about Brave in Spanish. It gives me goosebumps
Anna G Same, so amazing •-•
Marina Parra Well good on ya. But myself and others agree that it sounds special.
Marina Parra Wow negative Nancy, way to ruin a positive post. “I'm Spanish so I don't find it magical” So by that logic none of the songs I listen to in English sound magical because it's my native language? Nope, cos I definitely hear magical sounding songs all the time.
Anna G the feeeeelsss
Anna G same
Is no one gonna say how amazing Merida sounded in Spanish? Im impressed 👌 🇪🇸
Itz.Girlychopstick MSP YES I LOVED SPANISH MERIDA
for the none- Germans here, the German version of let it go is sung by our version of Indina Menzel, she‘s also the iconic Elphaba in Germanys version of Wicked 🤗
Finja Wienold but let’s not forget she’s dutch and played both the dutch elsa and elphaba as well!! (and uk elphaba for a while) ❤️
Milcy yeah she has got some mad talent that woman is a godess 😍
@@FiniBeautyStyle don't you mean Willemijn Verkaik? Idina Menzel is the English version☺️
Lieke Stevens that‘s why I said ‚our‘ version of Indina Menzel
@@FiniBeautyStyle ohh apologies! I misread your comment!
ahhh, German Pocahontas is giving me goosebumps
love it
yes she is the best 😄
did you hear polish pocahontas?
+Ramay yes, but german ist better ^^
+Ramay Oh the polish Pocahontas is the best of the best. always gives me chills
+Ramay Oh the polish Pocahontas is the best of the best. always gives me chills
OMG MULAN THO the voice is so light and gentle
PepperIsntSalty ikr? 😍
Im swedish
Yeah, it’s really poetic in Cantonese too! (More than English I think)
it is sooo beautiful
Isn’t it ironic that the best sounding voice for Pocahontas, a Native American, is German
Why?
@@mehoranges5874 sorry does it have something to do with history? I'm in 7 grade and I didn't know what Germany has to do with native americans
@Fatimir Murstakif that’s pretty much the irony. I’m in 7th too so (at least in my school system) we were taught about early American history in 5th grade.
@@mehoranges5874 I don't live in America or where ever you live but I know from my sister that Germany learn about American history in 10th so would you just explain the ironic to me or not?
Fatimir Murstakif okay so the Native Americans lived in America kind of minding their own business until the English, French, and Spanish decided to claim the land for their own countries. They colonized everything. That’s pretty much it. Germany really has nothing to do with Native Americans so that’s the irony.
Pocahontas in German and Esmeralda in Italian ist just amazing🤤
I hate · starbucks That is so true
French fits Cinderella so well
Spooky Alex French is actually Cinderella's native language.
Natsu Dragneel Isn't it German?
Lovely Emma Yes its origanaly german as Well as Rapunzel
Robert Sch Oh, my bad. I really thought it was French. 😅
Natsu Dragneel I just checked and in fact it is French, I didn't even know that even though I'm French
Fun fact: The swedish singer for Rapunzel (Molly) and the swedish singer for Anna (Mimmi) are sisters😂😍
Hedda Malm I suspected that, they sound so similar
It happens a lot, actually.
Finnish Megara and Tiana is the aunt of Finnish Moana, Hebrew Pocahontas is the mother of Hebrew Rapunzel etc.
You are a wonderful human being for this cute fact. Thank you so much.
To be honest, I don’t think anyone can top original Meg. The singer has such personality and attitude in the English one
I think many can
The Greek one and English definitely have lots of personality
@@__amnii the Polish one is really good, check her out.
@@Yams-Hams7734 I just did, she sounds so pretty! I like the ending of it
hum not really
I personally think the German Rapunzel is the best 😍😂
Try the Hebrew version. Its better
Nah. The Czech is the best of all.
@@lluucciikk Yeah, czech version is really good.
Haha thx😄💖
Len tea same here
As a French human, i am beyond over Belle, Sleeping Beauty & others having British accents in movies. Their French voices are so beautiful to me. I love this xx
Belle, Sleeping Beauty and all of the other princesses except Merida actually have American accents in the English version, most of the supporting characters either have American or British accents though (except for a few characters like Lumiere and Fifi in Beauty and the Beast who have French accents)
inglourious basterds I'm so jealous I wish I was French
Pug play ill take that as a compliment, thanksn
gabrielle.s my question is
In this video
Why wasn't Belle speaking french
gabrielle.s I know exactly how you feel.
I agree with everything but ariel who sounded a bit too mature(jodi benson's ariel is the perfect amount of youthful and starry eyed) and meg who's english voice is way more sassy. gotta give the original credit where credit's due
trixR4kids agree
Sophia Loudwatcher yeah, I thought that too
trixR4kids SAME
I like the norway version!
Yeah same, I agree with everything except for Arielle
Okay no ones gonna talk about the Spanish brave it’s amazing
Nobody talks about Belle in german 1:24 . I'm so in love with the voice of Jana Werner. Beautiful ❤️
OMG the german voices of elsa and Pocahontas are so powerful😍
I'm Jamina and she is by the way, THE Elphaba
So proud of them
It's JaViSa the German Elsas voice is beautiful but the German translation of let it go is failing on so many levels. It’s just sad
Well im German and it's weird to hear that😂
@@tiz2711
Yeah
hi why is no one talking about Icelandic Ariel, Italian Esmeralda, Finnish Megara and Danish Tiana? I loved those ones the best.
Ariel sounds 'older'. And the greek Megara is better in My opinion. And I grew up with the danish Tiana
Ariel is meant to have a sweet voice that the sea witch covets, the Icelandic version sucks.
Seriously Spanish Merida why can I never find a video of her speaking Scottish
Because not a lot of people are talking about them, am I right?
I am form Iceland 🇮🇸
Wow I'm suprise that Polish is here! :D Yay Greetings from Poland!
Me too!
It’s my first time hearing polish singing and it sounds so beautiful😍😍
@@aleleliah glad you liked it! btw love your profile picture ❤️
French is perfect for every princess but it fits cindarella perfectly
Snow White in polish omg 😍😍😍
That moment when I haven't noticed my own language in video...
Thank you 😘 (I'm Polish 😜) Our language is very difficult for the others... But I think it is really beautiful 😚
But I think the "The colors of the wind" is the most beautiful in Polish version - You must listen "Kolorowy wiart" by Edyta Górniak
MagnumeQ najtrudniejszy ;)
Dezaktywator Wież No nie wiem... A co z chińskim? Japońskim?
MagnumeQ a jaki niby trudniejszy?
The French voices 😍😍😍😍
I agree 😍
I love your profile pic
don't like the first one as much as the second one, the latter of which sounds a lot smoother than the first one

One of my favorite French versions of Disney songs! 💙💙💙
Moreover French is the native language of the character (the story takes place in France, Belle and Aurore are also from France)
Ha the voice I heard as a child, the french version is my Disney classic ❤
Why is no one talking about the Slovak of Rapunzel 😍😍
Well a saw five comments about it alredy..
Didn't expect slovak in this video actually, but it made me really happy as not many people know about it
Alzbeta is my queen ❤️
German is honestly such a beautiful language when sung
Polish is such a beatiful language. I actually know English, Spanish, French and Italian, but I’d like to learn polish and other languages
Mr.White rabbit THANK YOU
Polish is hard, my mom sent us to a polish school on Saturdays, and needless to say we got pissed and rebelled for 2 years. Not that I hate polish, we ARE polish. But school on weekends sounds pretty shitty. Beside that experience, I love the language and wish to learn it freely someday. I study french on Duolingo. Very good app, give it a try.
Mud Puddle ya, same here. I take polish school and skipped a grade higher than others in my class and honestly, it sucks. No free time. At all. So annoying
Julia Slobodzian Yes very true. I feel for my cousin who still has to go, but he is much more experienced and he's never really complained so I think it's ok. Just keep strong. ✌️
I know french hindi and english
To be honest , I don't think anyone can do better than Mandy Moore when voicing Rapunzel
agreed!
I love our german rapunzel, more than english and thats unusual for me.
+TalimSC Oh yes 😍 I love our German Version😊
Personally, I prefer the Slovak version
Seriously? I thought Mandy Moore did the best job out of all the English Disney Princesses!
Cantonese Mulan was beautiful honestly. I found it so relaxing, so was Swedish Anna. I personally thought those too were sooo underrated.💛💛💙❤️

Italian is the less harsh language imo.
I am from austria and I think the language is also harsh but there are three german songs like wtf?!
I think Italian is freaking so pretty
È la prima volta che lo sento dire ahahah penso che l'italiano sia una delle lingue più musicali
*When you hear your language* REEEEEE edit: ohhh it's here two times!!
French??🇫🇷
I will always love the Russian version of Once Upon A December. It's so hauntingly beautiful.
Rebecca Lowe I believe thats part of the point of the somg, haunting uet beautiful
Rebecca Lowe yes. Russia is mother land and I remember my mother sing me this before sleep 🤤❤️
Echo Girl XOXO omg thats so cute
Rebecca Lowe That's probably because it's in the native language.
I love Russia :)
swedish anna's voice has that lovely little rasp, oh my goooododododd i am obsessed !!!
danicantdance I feel the same way c: I love her voice so much, proud to be a swede (I don't know why .-.)

I loved German belle as well! 💗
Ya' know what my opinion is?
ALL LANGUAGES ARE BEAUTIFUL!! 😍😍
Adisha Debnath absolutely
Adisha Debnath They meant how the singers of that dub sing it
Eliza Schuyler of course and everyone sang it beautifully!!
Adisha Debnath Thats also not what they meant. All the singers sang it beautifully, In all languages. What they mean is which singers voice fit best for the individual character.
Lottie Kejser I know that. I am just giving my opinion here.
Everyone: * arguing which language was better and if any other version should have appeared*
Me, liking them all and singing: cORRERÉ, VOLARÉ, CON EL VIENTO CABALGARÉ ~
ok but why is NO ONE talkin bout Spanish Brave
IKR THE ACCSENT IS oN pOINt cant spell lol sorry

Vivi Dodo spanish rapunzel its even better
Vivi Dodo I was exited cause ai thought it was the latin spanish version (yes there is a diference) but it still fit perfectly
yaas, im spanish so this makes me so happyy
So, we are going to ignore how perfect Italian fits Esmeralda? Or how Mulan sounds so cute with Cantonese?
Thank you! (I'm italian) :)
I love watching the hair through shoulder glitch that I forgot existed again.
5:13 if i had one wish i would wish to have a beautiful and elegant voice like this.. i got chills
MLP Sunset Shimmer saaame, I saw her(the singer ofc😂) live once, it was amazing
Same, I am Swedish but I hate my voice. It just sounds awful.
Yeah it was really nice, and i finally understod one.
Right
Well, it isn't a big surprise, that Russian fits Anastasia the best. It takes place in Russia...
But Anastasia isn't a Disney film. Her film is Non Disney. And Anastasia is actually a 20th Century Fox animated film.
And Anna and Elsa are German-Skandinavian :D We can suppose that the movie is settled somwhere there :)
Not really, it actually takes place in Norway, beacause Arendelle was inspired by the municipality Arendal in Norway, correct me if I'm wrong!
Keaton smoking a caffeine blunt No you are correct! The castle is based on an actual castle😊
Keaton smoking a caffeine blunt actually she is talking about Anastasia and not Anna from frozen. Anastasia is an Russian girl a well-known girl. Greetings from Russia.
I’m surprised as a Scottish person how wonderful Merida sounds in Spanish
*SIS Aurora has a breathtakingly beautiful voice as it is, but FRENCH Aurora thooo😍😍😍😍*
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE SPANISH MERIDA(that's my favorite)
POLISH SNOW WHITE
AND FRENCH CINDERELLA
Amanda Lozoya I’m confused why doesn’t Merida sing in Scots, since she is from Scotland 🏴 🧐
SweetSunshine Jenn bc Scottish gaelic is a dying language and very few people sing it
+SweetSunshine Jenn We speak normal English here in Scotland. Scottish is more of an accent of anything. The only other language we have is Gaelic and only very few people up North can speak it.
ValkyrieCain123 They are replacing french with gaelic in multiple primary schools to bring the language back. But I think that the doric dialect was (and is) more common than the gaelic language in general
Like how ? I am from Slovak and we are small country like small and you put our singing in the video . I don't know what to say ^*^
We're neighbors! Poland!
Pusheenowaaa well hello
Hi ^^
Pusheenowaaa Wish a nice day :)
I wish you too ^^
I really do like the Spanish Merida :)
My favorite was Russian Anastasia and Swedish Anna, literal chills 😍
german let it go actually says "i am free" i love it
Raistlin Bracey in French too it says i am free
Raistlin Bracey in spanish it says the same too
In Arabic it says "will not back" (the past)
Raistlin Bracey no in the refrain she sings "I let go"
Raistlin Bracey well, in czech it says "Suddenly" like... what?
Omg Mulan's voice tho 😱😱😱❤️❤️❤️
Edit: Rapunzel, Merida, Anna, and Elsa OMG MY FAVES😱😱😱❤️❤️❤️
Eva Loves Music Have you ever heared the German Mulan? She sounds even better...
Greta Onneken Mulan is singing German here? O.o So I think she’s heard it
Ebru Ünver I think you're mixing Pocahontas & Mulan here. Mulan isn't singing in German, she's singing in Cantonese. Pocahontas is singing in German.
Cantonese is actually Chinese so it suits Mulan.
4:13 ok danish tiana it's just beautiful
The german version of Let it go might be the best I've heard this far. I could actually listen to it without ripping my ears off my head.
i just wanna point out that anastasia is not a disney movie ._. however former disney employees worked on the movie
Disney bought anastasia
Alexander de Vries-Pedersen Disney bought the rights to Anastasia, it is now Disney.
disney didn't buy the rights of anastasia. i googled it (and found the article), in the end the writer said it was an April Fools joke ((sorry english isn't my native language)) idk tho
Oliva Alexandra Lol why would Disney buy the rights to a non successful movie. When they buy the rights to other movies it's almost always more than one movie. Like the Star Wars franchise or Marvel. And When thy DO buy up companies or franchises it's because they intent to make more movies out of it. They would never buy an old movie and then just leave it. And even if they did buy Anastasia she wouldn't be a Disney princess. Disney did not create her.
Sorry for long post lol, didn't mean to be rude.
neither is the girl from Quest for Camelot
Icelandic Ariel may sound too mature.. She's only 16 guys !
(Danish Tiana and Russian Ana were amazing)
Sic Mundus Creatus Est Agreee
Oh god she's only 16? She got married and gave birth at sixteen? Should I be disturbed or think it's cute ;-;
Missy Señorita un that time was normal married at 15- 16 if someone didnt get marry at 20 they say its old
Sic Mundus Creatus Est LISTEN NORWEGIAN
Missy Señorita not sure if it's cute tho but whatever :')
THE MULAN ONE SOUNDED SO DAMN PRETTY!!!
Edit: AND GODDAMN THE ONE FOR BRAVE!!!
Why isn’t anyone pointing out that Anastasia isn’t a Disney princess
She wasn't at first but Disney Bought the company that made the movie. Similar to how they bought MARVEL, as painful as it is to admit.
The_Introverted_Otaku yeah but she’s not a princess
She is, at least in the events the movie were made off of. And there are quite a few Disney princesses that aren't actually princesses.
Gabrielle Dawson EXACTLY lol
I hate to be that person, especially when I'm late to the party, but
Neither are Esmeralda, Megara, and the girl at 3:48 (Don't know her name, but I've found out she's from "Quest for Camelot", which is by Warner Bros. Animation)
Just being a girl in a movie by a studio that Disney bought doesn't make one a Disney princess, there are a lot of requirements to get into the official list
Namely:
1. One must have a primary role in an animated Disney movie
(Which kicked out:
-Giselle from Enchanted, because her movie wasn't entirely animated
-Every girl form a non-disney movie)
2. One must be human
(Which kicked out:
-Nala from Lion King and Kiara from Lion King 2, because they're lions
-Atta from Bug's Life, because she's an ant
-Jessie from Toy Story 2, because she's a toy
-Venellope from Wreck-It Ralph, because she's a video game character
-Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, because she's a pixie)
3. One must not primarily star in a sequel
(Which kicked out:
-Melody from Little Mermaid 2
-Ting Ting, Mei and Su from Mulan 2)
4. One must either be born royal, marry royal or perform a significant act of heroism
(Which [the last part exists only for Mulan and] kicked out
-Jane from Tarzan
-Alice from Alice in the Wonderland
-Esméralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Megara from Hercules)
Seriously the only ones I worry about are Kida from Atlantis (probably kicked out because Atlantis didn't make a success at a box office) and Moana/Viana, who, I believe, is just waiting to get accepted into the party

Its so weird when you speak multible languages and you need to do that mental shift between finnish and danish
Lív Guttesen mental shift?
Are you fluent in those languages? because then such a switch shouldn't happen.
Yay you talk Danish too ☺
Yeah I'm bilingual and I can switch between the two languages as if they were the same and sometimes I can't tell if I'm listening to one or the other cuz I don't feel like I speak two different languages. But with languages I'm not fluent in I need to do a mental switch.

Habillent nos chagrins de bonheur
(Dress our sorrows into hapiness)
Aurora: Mon amour, je t'ai vu au beau milieu d'un rêve
(My love, I saw you in the middle of a dream)
Mon amour, un aussi doux rêve n'est qu'un présage d'amour
(My love, such a sweet dream can only be a love sign)
Refusons tout deux que nos lendemains soient mornes et gris
(Let's both refuse to let our futures be bleak and grey)
Nous attendrons l'heure de notre bonheur
(We'll wait the hour of our hapiness)
You're welcome :)
