    Don't be scared to attempt this job, its very easy and takes minimal tools. Basic socket set, pliers, Allen keys (I believe 4mm), flat head screw driver (optional: hose cutter and blue loctite)
    The stock air boxes are held in with three 10mm bolts and 2 gear clamps. The blow off valve and other hoes are just spring clamps you can almost do with your fingers or use a pair of pliers.
    Between the tips in this video and the k&n instructions, anyone with basic skills should have no issues with this install
    But if you have any questions feel free to ask!
    Honestly the hardest part of the job is putting the weather seal on the k&n air filter shroud haha but just take your time and follow the tips in the video
    We will be taking the Stinger to the Drag strip! Full launch control and see how it holds up

    Since the kit has open box for the intake it probably will take hot air now, the original intake had a closed box so the hot air can’t get in but now it’s open, I mean it sounds cool but probably it will cause a problem in the long run and could void your warranty.

    • @cuttersperformance
      @cuttersperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually its not really open as its mostly sealed off when the hood is closed and has cold air ducts going into the boxes

    • @Skiller7777

      @@cuttersperformance yes I can see that when the hood is closed it is more sealed but the air intake from the sides are not connected directly like the factory ones, so I still think it will take more warmer air than before, K&N should of made this more connected and sealed, but this way the dealership will most likely void the warranty.

      We did take it to the track
      Best was a 13.2
      The biggest issue is the stock launch control doesn't build any boost off the line. There is a mod where you can trick the car into not knowing the brake is applied to build more boost.
      The car is getting a tuner soon and I'm curious what it will pick up at the track with that

      The GT2 is loaded. But, with the used car? You have to make sure nothing happened within those first 5000 miles of the GT2. If its mechanically sound is the question? All things considered? The engine and the cars are exactly the same with exceptions of the options you must have. Lastly the 2021 vs the GT2? The 2021 will depreciate the most in its first year. What it boils down to? The options you want and the final selling price. If you can get rebates on the 2020? You'll save more $$ with it. In the long run you have to make sure the GT2 is mechanically sound with no major defects. That it wasn't dogged, see service records. By additional warranty only if you want peace of mind. Peace ✌

      The 2021 GT versions are basically the same car as the 19 or 18 or 20. There aren’t really any changes. 5000 miles is nothing. I bought one with 25,000 used and now it has 50 and it’s just a machine. I have a GT1 and wish that I had bought a GT2. The GT1 has things at the GT doesn’t have that I can simply could not live without: large sunroof, heated and cooled seats, Harmon Kardon stereo system, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control. I use pretty much every single one of these features every time I get in the car. I wish it had the automatic hatch open and nicer leather found in the GT2.

    All those open intakes are garbage. Poor fit and finish, they don't seal since braces are over them and end up sucking more hot air from the engine, plus you risk sucking in some stray water. As a bonus on refreshed Stinger, you will throw an overboost code and go to limp mode once you run car hard back to back. Well documented issue. Do yourself a favor and pass on those. If you are not adding any supporting modes, stock intakes are more then enough. If you are, there are better choices with closed design. Unless you are 15, the whole symphony of noises they make will get played after a while too.
