Man you’re really good at this bro. Keep going, keep doing these vids. It’s informative. Don’t worry about the following, that’ll come. Is Stinger fam we love it.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Just doing what I love bro!!
Great content man! I’m not even a Stinger owner but I’m all about your vids. I have a modded Charger R/T, but now that it’s getting up there in miles I’m looking for possible next cars. You’re making me want a Stinger bad!
Lol! Nice man!! You can’t beat the sound of a V8, but the Stinger GT is a very fun platform that’s definitely different! Thanks for the support 🙏
Agreed it took me a while to adjust from a v8 but the twin Turbo v6 is a lot of fun to drive. Just brought home a 2023 Genesis G70 3.3 and it's amazing. Same car basically as this stinger. Couldn't be happier with my choice. The German cars need to take note.
Dope stuff man!!! I live in Fort Wayne, IN and just purchased my Stinger GT2 about 3 days ago! Im looking to get some Intakes so I’m doing my research between many different brands!
JB4 hands down makes a night and day difference with these cars! Love your Chanel bro 😎 👍
Great help, just installed mine today by watching your video. Little lost on the hosing as the factory ones I had were to fat but I made it work.
Just ordered mine today should be here by Friday. Awesome video bro!
My intakes are on the way! thanks for this Video!
Man you will enjoy the sound of them turbos!! , it’s loud AF
So it comes with those shorter hoses you had to use?
Great video man, glad you re liking it.
Thanks bro!! Yeah I have some ideas for good videos I haven’t seen yet. Thanks for watching
@@twn2rbo cant wait for em chief, good stuff
Waiting for a non rainy day to install mine. Is disconnecting the battery for safety purposes or does it keep the check engine light from coming on?
I don’t want to do any bolt ons. I just want a tune.
What tune should I get? And where do I get it?
Hey man! great vidoes! been watching you ive seen i got my gt2 stinger couple of months ago! but i have a question about the air intake. Do i need a jb4 to use it? or will the car run fine with cold air intake with no issues? like it wont blow anything up or cause any knocking? one of my friends thinks that it will cause issue if i dont get a jb4 to tune it properly.
about to put my injens on in two days im super excited
That was my first mod, it will make the driving experience so much more enjoyable and you will love the sound of the turbos sucking in air and blow off pressure from the diverter valves! Enjoy man!
@@twn2rbo is it normal for the edges of the filter to touch a small amount ? Just installed and is running good but want to make sure
@@AWD_Kia yes, just be careful bc the mesh is easy to damage. I would look into the snorkels though so you have some direct air flow on the cones, they lowers my IATs avg 13 degrees
@TWN 2RBO I'm starting another order for parts soon I'll add those in. Thanks !
Those look the best out of ones I seen but are they they best intakes to use for stinger performance wise?
To be honest, performance wise they are all going to perform and sound about the same. These are definitely good looking, but at the end of the day, we have a larger diameter tube with a high flow air filter on the end. There are many other reputable options to go with, my deciding factor was the wrinkle red color and Injens outstanding reputation.
Could you show us the jb4 install? Just bought the injen, occ, and velossa snorkels today can't wait to get them installed. Gonna get a jb4 soon hopefully.
Absolutely, that’s going to be my next video!! I work full time as a mortgage UW, but I find time to do what I love!! I am going to record the install tomorrow morning, but I should have it up in the next week for sure. Thanks for watching man
Check out my IG - I posted a story of a quick video intro edit I am working on for the JB4 install!
Nice! Can't wait for the video brotha
Have you got a link to the E steering wheel badge?
www.k8stingerstore.com/ this is where I get everything . I did order the JB4 directly from burgertuning.com/
You need to tune if you put on these Injens??
You don’t NEED to, but I recommend you do for extra power. If you decide not to tune, that is fine, it will sound AMAZING, but don’t expect any significant power gains unless you tune. Thanks for watching
Hey new to your channel. Great vid on installation. Two question. So after two years, if you still have the car of course, how are the CAI’s holding up? And 2 at 10:56 you said the jb4 fixed all of your problems. What were your problems and were they because you installed the cai? Thanks man
Love the videos and the car!!
Thanks for watching !!
Thanks for watching !!
Injen intakes give you more horsepower than torque??
niceee vid showing support
Thank you!
Does it void the warranty?
this might be a dumb question but do these intakes fit on the g70?
Hi hi brother ✌️ I have installed.
but I started to burn to check engine (((( can you help me
I live in Syd Australia and love your videos.
I’ve just purchased the 2020 Stinger GT.
What’s the best intake I should get for my car?
Tbh there is one that connects the OE air ducts into a shroud, that’s more of a real cold air intake with bigger cones and piping for more CFM (air flow). It will also provide the same sound. I would go with that one but I can’t seem to find a link, someone on the fb stinger page posted it the other day
So you don't need aftermarket blow off valves when you install Injen intakes ?
By the way great videos and nice car. I'm about to buy a 2022 stinger
You do not, they do sound cool though and help maintain boost levels a little. Congrats 🙌
@@twn2rbo thank you so much for your time. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yo. This is awesome. Too bad my car is leased otherwise I would do the intakes, exhaust and jb4….!
Check out my last video. I was in the same mentality, I took them off. Worth the extra 30 mins to me vs possible thousands if the wanted litigation. I’m an mortgage underwriter, so I analyze risk all day. Plus, I got to make a video to maybe help someone! Thanks for watching man
@@twn2rbo what about your new exhaust? Wouldn’t that cause an issue with returning the lease? Guess I couldn’t always buy out the lease later….
@@vikingengca9878 anything is possible , but they didn’t say anything about it on my first service. However, it’s a bolt on so it’s a simple removal prior to returning the lease 😀
@@twn2rbo Good deal. Thanks for the info and love the channel.
Thanks for for vid bro. For sure gonna be my first mod in a few weeks
Nice! Yeah that was mine too and it started all of this. The sounds really make driving the car so much fun
@@twn2rbo I got a quick question. Do you think the borla exhaust is worth the extra money or should go with the mbrp pro?
So are you saying that your throwing codes until you installed the jb4 ?? I've been doing alot of research into the intakes and blow off valves for my 21 Gt1 and they claim it won't pull any codes
I wouldn’t know prior to the JB4, but my deep search in the threads show it is a particular code. Nice thing about the JB4 , if that happens you will know the code through the app.
I’ve had not 1 issue since the Jb4. I can’t seem to find anyone with my particular issue I had after the exhaust install. But no issues with Intakes alone ever, even before the tune
Why did you choose JB4 over LAP3? Is there any reason?(price, performance, mechanic's preferences)
To be honest, it’s kind of like looking at a Honda and Toyota, not necessarily do i prefer one product over the other, but the JB4 support is second to none. If you have an issue, they are on it like crazy and many users rave about the support. It’s very simple and easy to use and they perform updates regularly. It was a tough call, but I am happy with it. The stinger GT just needs a tune period.
Love the install I definitely feel good about doing it my self !!! I just got a 2022 Kia stinger gt2!! Do I need to disconnect battery??? And also does those short hoses come with intakes ? Or where did you get them. Thanks .
Congrats! Yes, disconnect the negative battery, install the intakes, then re connect the battery and start it up. Enjoy it! If I remember correctly it came with all the hoses needed. I may have re used an OE hose but I can’t remember. The intakes were the first mod I did before I decided to start a TH-cam channel. All future mods like this will be recorded and done step by step though.
What made you go for injen intakes rather then k&n or a different brand 🤔
Injen is known for top tier quality and the cones are easy to clean with no oil, K&N is another great one, it boiled down to looks between these two and the wrinkle red really caught my eye, and when I seen they were always sold out, it made me want them more. That’s what started my relationship with K8 store, I was able to pay a little extra and they found some for me and shipped right away. The intakes sound so good, but in terms of sound, they are all going to be the same. Sick!
@@twn2rbo are you going to do the swaybars at all?
@@michael-qv2du yeah eventually, I am going to focus more on appearance next since I have the performance I want now. I want to lower it slightly, do some dark carbon fiber wrap on the black chrome, carbon fiber paddle shifters and figure out what i want to do with the wheels. I’m more of a 0-60 enthusiast straight line enthusiast, but I’ve considered them.
@@twn2rbo I feel that ill be waiting for the uploads
What's the difference between Injen and Burger intakes?
Really just looks, they will both suck in the same amount of air , actually the BMS has a slight better design with the heat shields imo . Injen is also a brand name with a great fit and finish so you pay extra for that as well. Check out AFe, they have one of the best engineered systems I think, it’s more of a “cold air” intake
I saw other vids indicating that the dealer can authorize after market parts being put on without voiding the warranty. Was that an option for the intakes?
They can depending on the dealer if they do the install, or you can get the worse case scenario like my “Kia Stinger vs dealership” video I made. Really just depends
Hey man just wondering what part of Indiana are you ?? I live in portage if you are familiar with northwest Indiana
Central Indiana! Not familiar with up north except I have some family in Mishawaka. Love to have a fellow Hoosier on here bro 🙌🙌
@@twn2rbo what part of central Indiana? I live in Lafayette
@@kyleclevenger3467 Indianapolis
Why disconnect the battery?
Good job patriot I'm doing mine too yeh!
Thanks man! Get it!!!
When you buy the injen intakes does it come with 2 when you buy them
Yes
@@twn2rbo thanks so much and keep up with the vids loving them
Hello im new to cars i was wondering if i get Bovs are intakes completely invalid?
I would just keep the diverter valves on and get intakes. You’re wasting boosting with blow off valves, you will hear plenty of blow off in the open intake cones. BOVs will be louder, but are not worth loosing a little boost and the potential for having boost leaks.
@twn2rbo appreciate it brother hope you're doing well and life is always improving
Where u at on the map?
When I recorded this video, the JB4 was uninstalled. I did record a bunch of content 2 days ago installing the JB4. I found out how to put music on my videos, so I got the intro done, I posted it on my IG story @TWN2RBO. After I finish this video, I’m going to post a video of each map - but map 3 with e30 mix is my all time FAVORITE. Daily, map 2 w 93 - she’s mean either way, but map 3 is a beast!!!
Nice! What BOV do you have?
Original equipment still
@@twn2rbo damn. The intake just sounds mean as hell then!
@@Marc6818 oh yeah, that was my very first mod. Sounds so sick. It’s pretty loud, so then I had to balance it out with a cat back. That opened her up a little!
Factory car, can I mix E84 and available 91 octane in this car? If so, what ratio have you run successfully.
Yeah you can run up to e30 with intakes and tune. I’ve had best results with 3.5 gallons of e85 and the rest 93 oct. The high pressure fuel pump caps out after e30
@@twn2rbo thank you, hit me up if you would like to liquidate some of your take-off parts. I just want in the 11’s even if 11.99 😂
@@davidroberts4897 TCU tune, it will help like crazy
Do you can run e30 with stock fuel system???
I still don't understand why there is no heat shield/box, like K&N and some others... I know it probably make little to no difference, but if cold air is the goal, why have it open to pull from the engine bay ?
You are correct, but I installed the ram air intake snorkels and the IATs have lowered significantly. I am going to get the carbon fiber heat shields as well. If I didn’t tune this car, I would have gone with a different option for sure.
@@twn2rbo in the big picture your "cold air" is created with the intercooler on cars like these i guess.. probably should just worry about maximum air intake more so than the "CAI" box(the snorkels definitely help all of those issues). Thanks for the content & being active with a reply too!
What exhaust do you run?
MBRP Catback Pro (stainless). kmtuned.com/?sca_ref=1436296.VlFqX59cRX
Sorry but I don't believe in this cold air material, why, because it goes against the principles of proper engine operation. This system will get all the hot air from the engine, we know that it is cool air that the engine needs. Just good for car sound. For me it is a waste of money.
Yes and no, the mod itself is for more air due to tuning, if you purchase the snorkels like I did, they redirect the air directly on the cones, I have other videos showing the before and after the install and the IATs dropped significantly. However, for optimal results, I would go with the enclosed AFe air box with snorkels connected
@@twn2rbo Yes, you are so right, I agree with you --- go with the enclosed AFe air box with snorkels connected.
The factory intake is already cold air. You paid money for a hot air intake
@@nickandros2057 My 3.6 sec Stinger vs 4.8 sec stock Stinger.. don’t care. 🤷
@@twn2rbo you would be faster and safer with the stock boxes. That's all I'm saying. I'm sure the jb4 is worth the money. Sucking in hot air isn't.
@@nickandros2057 the best air intake system for the Kia Stinger are on my newer videos with GT2 Grand Tourer edition.
@@twn2rbo ill check it out
