My best Stinger modification is my new license plate which reads STINGRR. I have the impression that the car is now running even faster since I installed it. It cost me $94 here in CT.

I just got one.. love it. My GT2 replaced my MKVI Golf R. No comparison. And with mods this thing very well may be a GT-R killer for the price... And I'd take a korean made engine over french.
Im in a 2016 MK7 Golf R Stage 1+ tuned and debating what to do next .. Problem is I want to get as much speed as Im getting now but I think I need to do a bunch more to the Kia than I had to do to my Golf in order to get that. Right now I know a stock Stinger would not be enough to satisfy me. Anyways, how do you find the gas mileage vs your old Golf ?
I've been looking everywhere to find a video that actually shows the numbers and offers what would be best to pull out the power. I'll be back to this after I trade up my 2.0 Stinger to the new GT next year 😭😭😭
The best to pull out the power, is lozic ECU/tcu tune. If your goal is speed, you'll go from 4.7 to 3.6/7 0-60 with just that. After that exhaust and down pipe are a good increasing tool, plus sound cool, as the guy in the video said. I suggest a catted down pipe, which few companies make, but you can find on khartunerz.
It would be interesting to check the silhouette dimensions of the Stinger 3.3lt vs the LS 6.2. Fitting the LS3 with twin turbos under the Kia plastic engine shroud would make a very quick and stealthy street car.. Wouldn't fool a close inspection, but would be interesting..
I have a 2007 SAAB 9-3 aero 2.8T with a couple of mods and I’m looking into buying the GT1. It’s the only car in that price range that would satisfy my needs performance wise compared to my SAAB. It’s also a beauty to look at
No one saw the VIN number so how can anybody say the warranty is toast. All these fellows have to do is to put the motor back like they got it and they are good to go. Although I would clear the PCM so there's no record of the modifications to let anyone scan for mods. If you raise the boost, it's kind of like pulling the pin on a hand grenade. Sooner or later it's gonna blow.
@@vivid_racing The only real problem with installing these mods while under factory or even extended warranty, is that if you need to bring the car to the dealership for ANYTHING, including simple stuff like regular maintenance issues, they will see it and could void out your warranty unless you remove this stuff every time you have to go there. Don't get me wrong here, I am extremely impressed with what you have created here, but voiding out that warranty should scare the crap out of just about anyone who dropped $50K plus on a new car.

Yeah the AWD Mustang has to be killin the number's. I've seen many variances but my stock 3.3 RWD on the Dynojet put down 356 / 391. After just the K&N Typhoon intake system she put down 368 / 393. Top gains were 13hp and 11lbs. Nice gains though VR and the intakes and cooler look great 👌
I hear rumors that the 2021 or 2020.5 stinger will have a new 3.5L twin turbo. Did you happen to hear that as well? And what else would u know about this?
Did you guys ever make a dyno video of a stinger with an exhaust on it? I'd like to see how much just an exhaust alone and an exhaust with just intakes and see how much horsepower that combination would make. As well as all three mods like cold air intake, intercooler and exhausts. I'm sure your followers would like to see how much power a stinger would make with that full combination.

Still pissed that the Stinger was very unpopular and Kia was forced to discontinue it. Normally, I am not a fan of Asian sedans, but this is definitely a big exception. If seen very carefully, it resembles the Maserati Ghibli's shape (many hate Maserati sedans, but I actually see good things about them). Before this was released, I always wanted a Mercedes Benz E class, but in the end, I decided to just settle with this (I haven't gotten it yet. I'm still trying to convince my parents to let me have one, but they keep saying no, even after I switched from Mercedes to Stinger. Still, I haven't gotten my driver's license, and they refuse to let me drive their cars considering that they might have found me watching videos of people recklessly driving on live news. Told me I'd have to get my own car). Still, I decided I wanted to do more to the car after I got it, despite the fact that it had the "perfect appearance". I want to add a Jaguar Hood Ornament on the hood, a black carbon fiber hood cover, flames on the doors, enlarged side skirts, new bright colored rims, and a GT Wing spoiler (I might actually be overdoing mods, but who cares). Anyways, I might take this as a consideration if I ever manage to buy a used one, for they are going to be discontinued in late 2022.

Mods depend on the dealer unfortunately. Google Magnuson Warranty Act. These 3 mods should really not be a problem nor a catback exhaust. I’m sure if somehow you grenaded the engine, they would blame this. But it has to be proven. Now if you were to do a tune, that is something that would definitely hold up for voiding a warranty. This is why most will flash back to stock for warranty visits.

It seems there are a few modifications that would be deemed illegal including; lights, mufflers, license plates, and tint. Most other modifications will fly under the radar, but I would recommend looking into your local laws first.

Thinking about replacing my 2018 GTI with a Stinger. Wife demands a baby so I need a bigger car. I live in AZ; do I want the RWD or AWD? Which is quicker?
These are bolt-on modifications. No tune is necessary for them to function and improve power. In order to feel significant power increase along with the installation of these products it is recommended to tune it as well as it will provide the most efficient and satisfactory experience.
Did you get one? I got mine in May of 2019 and can't stop feeding it! Great toy. Next up, intercooler and a day at the track. With intake, exhaust, and tune, I'm at 400 hp at the wheel on a AWD GT2.

You ordered on May 9. Hasnt been a month yet :) They have to make these to order and the entire industry is backed up. So you could order from them both and get the same ETAs.

What aggravates me is next time instead of me calling multiple times and hearing it’s coming a week later to o no now it’s not coming till 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days from your original order date it would of been nice to know that from the beginning. :)
They absolutely void your warranty AND are expensive PLUS after installing any part that will make a significant gain your car must be retuned and it is never as reliable. This is from only my experience but im 41 and have owned at least 40 cars.
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that a dealer must prove that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before it can deny warranty coverage. Generally speaking, dealerships will try to void your warranty if your vehicle is modified, but that's not always the case. It's best to check with your local dealership to see how they feel about those modifications.

These personal anecdotes about whatever you believe was a street race is basically a joke. The Merc is heavier and down 60+ HP. It doesn't have an 8 speed trans with sport mode. You either got lucky with a Stinger 2.0 or the 3.3TT didn't know he was racing you, lol. If you don't have track slips, it didn't happen. Dream on.

with 20% drivetrain loss you should have got around 290 hp to the wheels in a stock car, really the 37°c kill 50 hp even with the intercooler and the other modifications??
Gonzalo Fernandez yeah something’s fucky here. There’s no possible way that a car that regularly dynos well above 300 whp got less than that with an intercooler and intake.
Most of the videos I've watched have the HP more in the 330 range, your numbers seem really low. Is it your dyno or does the 100 degree weather really kill it that badly? Great video, so many modding options for this car already. What other performance parts are you going to be releasing?
Jigga Man what’s more important the gain or the number? The gain is as dynos are all different that is why we do back to back testing to show you the delta. But yes a mustang awd dyno has a drivetrain loss of about 20%. Exhaust coming soon!

The AFR dip is due to catalyst overtemp protection, if you do some datalogging you will see the catalyst temp is way over 1600f during a pull.
Probably better technical term for the Stinger styling is it is kind of a Kammback.

I've heard you can get the Bhp up to 420 but will the mods void any warranty?
That depends on the dealer. Some do not mind basic bolt-ons like intake and exhaust.

We have never experienced any issues with full bolt-ons and a tune and this car has been a daily driver since it left our shop!

Something isn't right here, the stinger stock has about 311hp to the wheels. How are you getting 235hp?

You ordered on May 9. Hasnt been a month yet :) They have to make these to order and the entire industry is backed up. So you could order from them both and get the same ETAs.
@@vivid_racing when I originally wrote this I was told I’d get it in another week. So yea that’s a month. Now I’m not getting it till June 25th. What aggravates me is next time instead of me calling multiple times and hearing it’s coming a week later to o no now it’s not coming till 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days from your original order date it would of been nice to know that from the beginning. :)

Many many moons ago we use compete in NASA road race events. Since 2001 Vivid Racing has always been focused around performance driving.
Question: what do mods like this cost and do they void my warranty? I have a 2020 GT Indigo Version.
They absolutely void your warranty AND are expensive PLUS after installing any part that will make a significant gain your car must be retuned and it is never as reliable. This is from only my experience but im 41 and have owned at least 40 cars.
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that a dealer must prove that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before it can deny warranty coverage. Generally speaking, dealerships will try to void your warranty if your vehicle is modified, but that's not always the case. It's best to check with your local dealership to see how they feel about those modifications.

These personal anecdotes about whatever you believe was a street race is basically a joke. The Merc is heavier and down 60+ HP. It doesn't have an 8 speed trans with sport mode. You either got lucky with a Stinger 2.0 or the 3.3TT didn't know he was racing you, lol. If you don't have track slips, it didn't happen. Dream on.

with 20% drivetrain loss you should have got around 290 hp to the wheels in a stock car, really the 37°c kill 50 hp even with the intercooler and the other modifications??

Gonzalo Fernandez yeah something’s fucky here. There’s no possible way that a car that regularly dynos well above 300 whp got less than that with an intercooler and intake.
There is no such thing as "regularly dynos". Every dyno is different and what matters is the delta.

I’m confused, doesn’t the car have 365chp so around 300whp? 230 as the baseline would be a 35-40% loss at the crank. That’s crazy.
That's what the car made on a low reading AWD mustang dyno with 91 octane and summer temps over 100 degrees!

Most of the videos I've watched have the HP more in the 330 range, your numbers seem really low. Is it your dyno or does the 100 degree weather really kill it that badly? Great video, so many modding options for this car already. What other performance parts are you going to be releasing?
Jigga Man what’s more important the gain or the number? The gain is as dynos are all different that is why we do back to back testing to show you the delta. But yes a mustang awd dyno has a drivetrain loss of about 20%.

On another note, any idea the effects of downpipes? I understand it helps open up more power but it gets rid of 2 of the 4 catalytic converters on the Stinger. What could be the longterm side effects to this? or is it overall beneficial in the long run? Thoughts?
