Ronnie Dunn is the one singing and telling the story. He wrote the song based on a man he knew growing up. Being a person of faith, this song always makes me cry, not only because of the sadness of losing someone but for the promise we are given that we will have eternal life. Thank you for your wonderful reaction.
I took discovered this song right after a lot of loss. My Mom was my"Old Man Wrigley" for me. Her faith and belief was rock solid. I had her til I was 55 and she was 95 in 2006. I still talk/pray to her. Great reaction! ❤
Ronnie Dunn has a phenomenal voice, regardless the style and topic of music. The duo with Kix Brooks has ended after a couple decades together. The best duo ever by the fans. Look them up!! Play more!!
I've seen this video and reactions 100 times and I cry every time especially just the way the world is right now. Well in the United States it's a very sad got me a little scared, but music watching your guises videos, knowing that Ronnie Dunn's lived experience, saw no color💜 just makes me sad that times have changed so much since I grew up in the 70s 80s 90s 2000s 🫶🏼 seems like all teenagers or most of them just wanna be on the Internet or their phones or their laptops no, they don't want to get schooled by the older generation now and they r spoiled 💜🫶🏼 Thank you for your reaction
Yes Ronnie Dunn wrote it about a real life experience. In 2006 it won the Country Music Association single of the year, song of the year and video of the year.
He died on the cross for our sins and went to Heaven to prepare a place for us all who believe just as Jesus was resurrected into Heaven so can we who Believe in him!❤❤❤
This is the best faith based song I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. ẞo thank you Brooks and Dunn for the words and the song. And your performance of the song. Beautiful story and words.
It's ok dear...if you need to cry...go ahead... you need a release... yes... the memories are what keeps us going... Ronnie Dunn is singing and he has a beautiful voice...
It’s so personal to those remaining here yet encouraging in knowing you will meet them again in the afterlife. Powerful and relatable , this is one helluva song
Brooks and Dunn have been the premier duo for years in Country music. They have won all sorts of awards. They retired a few years back, but Ronnie Dunn, the singer, has recorded another album. He has an amazing voice. Another one of their songs, completely different, but one that showcases Ronnie's voice so beautiful is "Love Owes Me One." Take a listen to that one when you can.
The older black gentleman in this video .....is the same man who portrays the bus driver in the video of " Whiskey Lullaby " ......now THAT one is a real tear-jerker .
I understand, I've lost almost everyone, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. We have to believe they are in a better place, remember them but carry on with our lives. (( Hugs to you. ))
Congratulations! I have watched well over 100 people on the Internet give their take on songs, and you are the only one who did not interrupt the song one time while it was playing and waited until the songs over to give your comments… Kudos to you You are truly a one of a kind listener tonight slice and dice in butchered the song up like every other person to us on the Internet! I will now follow your channel because of the way you looked at this song… Ronnie done is one of the best in music, period! 👍👌🤘
I remember seeing it was probably 76, 1976 or 1977 staying at my grandmas for the weekend she had this big Bible big print and it had words and read because I remember asking her what it was that's crazy I remember that💜💜
This was co-written by Craig Wiseman, the Songwriter of the Decade (2000-2009) as voted on by the Nashville Songwriters' Association. I think you would really love (based on your reaction here ) another huge song co-written by Mr, Wiseman "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw.
Had a good cry with you and heard this song many times. Just an old man with a great woman who puts up with me. I'm a lot older in my 70s she's still 30s and been together 18 years. Need a good cry once in a while to appreciate life for all the people and places you met and been to. Cleanse the soul. Be well, you are a beautiful young woman. Beautiful on the inside as well.
One of the very best reaction vids. This Classy lady watched and took in the music video without talking or pausing. This is called restraint and great self-control. Including myself at the head of the lesson line, More people need to be more like her. ❤
I love your reviews! You are one of the few that does not constantly stop the video/music and make comments - you wait till the end! If you have not yet reviewed George Jones’s “He Stopped Loving Her Today”, PLEASE do!
Hello Sam, just a quick note to say I subscribed...this song is very close to my heart because it just like it was telling a story that was almost like my experience . Thanks you Sam.
You want another story telling that was written by the singer about his grandfather you should listen to Jamey Johnson-In color. I love this video and have watched it many times. Music that tells stories are the best!
I am so sorry for all of you losses these past couple of years.. Yes, Ronnie Dunn wrote this. He wrote this for someone he knew growing up. Listen to Hold on to Memories by Disturbed. It is beautiful.
Ronnie Dunn is one of the best. You should check out Gene Watson singing You Gave me a mountain. He is one of the greatest. He's been singing for over 50yrs and can still hit the notes he did 50yrs ago
Country music is known for its story telling. The songs range from feelings that make you laugh your butt off to ball your eyes out.THEY ARE ALL GOOD FEELINGS TO HAVE.Always use the original videos and a copyright block screen if need be.Reba Macentire Fancy, cowgirls dont cry are good.Trace Adkins Arlington and Badonkadonk.
Love this song because it about relationships we created young, now and older. The memories is the legacy we leave behind and the Bible "words in red" is for us when God calls us home. Through ALL storms God is with us.
Great reaction to a beautiful song! I am sorry to hear about your losses. As this song implies, I believe what follows this life, will be better than what we have now. My opinions aside, this thought (and song) can give us comfort and peace. Keeping others in our thoughts and memories is what gives (this life) meaning. It's free (of cost) to remember those who are no longer with us, and to be mindful of those who still are. ❤🙏
Ronnie does a duet with Reba McEntire called Cowgirls don't cry that I believe you would also enjoy. Thank you for sharing your journey into country music with us. There is so much for you to listen to, you will never run out of anything to enjoy.
I believe what you feel when you hear this song is God reaching down and touching you right on the heart. A hard life made me hard hearted and I need to feel something to overcome the hardness this touches my heart thank you Ronnie God bless you your talent is unmistakable such a great writer and Singer I don't mind saying I believe 🙏
"Neon Moon" by Brooks & Dunn is another great tune. It's for all the lonely-hearted people in the world. As the song says ..... If you loose your One & Only, There's always room here for the lonely, To watch your broken dreams, Dance in and out of the beams, Of a Neon Moon.
This is a touching tribute to Old man Wrigley, a friend of Ronnie Dunn s family growing up, I loved your reaction,so you have a new subscriber here looking forward to more of your videos!
We probably all have a Mr Wrigley in our life and we can be one b I n someone else's life. Love that this is a true story about a man in Ronnie Dunn's life and gave honor to his Mr Wrigley. Gotta love the story, the hope and the truth of I Believe. Loved your reaction.
My first time on your channel, This song gets me everytime no matter what. As I understand it, this song is a true story from when Ronnie Dunn (Singer) was growing up. Knowing that makes the song even more special. I enjoyed your reaction. Another good one is , Craig Morgan "The father, my Son and the Holy Ghost" also a true story made into a song that will get you in the feels.
Powerful song and story. Country Music has the best storylines. Often described as 3 chords and the truth. Give these songs a try -- think you will enjoy them. Joe Nichols - I'll Wait For You Craig Morgan - "The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost" Mo Pitney -- I Love You More (Gets Emotional While Performing for St Jude) HARDY - Wait in the Truck (original video)
Hey Missy Samantha Scott here, been a fan of these guys for years saw them live in Concert years ago ,they have won a ton of awards over the years and they are now back together. Love ya Miss Samantha nothing but love to you from your buddy across the pond ❤️❤️
First time viewer of your channel. You are a sweetheart. This song puts everything in perspective. I have prayed for you and your family that the faith mentioned in the lyrics is also your's and their's. We can truly have a close relationship with The Lord.
Need to listen to Vince Gill at George Jones funeral (with Patti Loveless). Vince sings his song he wrote when his bother passed away several years before, "Go Rest High on The Mountain ".
Ronnie was a n evangelical student and changed vocations if you will, he has a real feel for it .But they also have some great upbeat stuff....boot scoot boogie or neon moon.
Hello, much love from Canada. 👋🇨🇦❤️, I literally just saw this, and I had to respond and I subscribed because I loved your reaction video it was an honest honest reaction thank you. This is what we need in life honest to God feelings this video always makes me cry because I never knew my grandparents not any of them they were dead before I was born. Pick up your spirit and stay in late and love I'm so sorry for the people you lost during this pandemic season, but I believe people are waking up and I believe there is a lot of good things coming. I find it very prophetic, that this song is called I believe. Stay strong, stay in the light, and keep your vibrations up even when it's difficult. You can do this and God wins, just remember that. I know the English my father is English I lived in England for eight and a half years I was born in Canada but we have strong connections to England and Ireland and Scandinavia. All strong places you can do this girl, you got this ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sometimes things cause me to cry that I know are not on a superficial level, but deep down inside. I believe Christ is in us all and speaks to us from time to time, especially when we are desperate.
Amazing singer. Ronnie Dunn is such a good singer...♥ Maybe you could react to a Danish singer, Lukas Graham "Home movies"...would love to hear what you think... :)
Samantha, I'm so Sorry for your loss of those you Love!!! I've lost both sets of my Grandparents and in the last few years I lost my brother in 1986, then my Dad in 2007, then my Momma in 2020!!! We also lost one of our Great Grandchildren a few years ago!!! But, because of their belief in Jesus in What He did for all of us in the shedding of His blood on the cross and His Resurrection and since I placed my life in GOD's hands through His Son Jesus, I too will leave this Earth one day and be reunited with my Family, but the greatest gift will be to Meet my LORD!!! God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit!!! The Holy Trinity all wrapped up into ONE!!! I Hope to meet You there, Too!!!
Miss Sammantha, I am very sorry for you going through loosing so many of your loved ones. IF you noticed, at the end of the song the little boy grown up and in college, he finally understands exactly what Old Man Wrigley was telling him, and there he is, grown up and at Old Man Wrigley’s house, he understood John 3:16-17 and 1 Thessalonians chapter 4😊. Miss Sammantha, what you are going through, what you are feeling, just as the song says “God Only Knows”. You, Miss Sammantha are now on my prayer list.
I love this song and it really does help when you can focus on the hope that there's more and we'll be reunited with our lost loved ones. The organ is killer
The words written in red in the Bible are quotes attributed to Jesus Christ. I thought that was a nice touch putting that in the song.
He left him a sign that he is where is belongs with his family.
React Don't Stop Believin' - Gabriel Henrique (Cover)
I would love to see your reaction to Hardy ft Lainey Wilson in Wait In The Truck. It's hot on reaction channels right now.

Brooks and Dunn Red Dirt Road
I love this song and it really does help when you can focus on the hope that there's more and we'll be reunited with our lost loved ones. In light of your recent loss, I'm going to go a completely different direction and recommend the song, "Hold Onto Memories" by Disturbed. If you are not a fan of theirs or don't know who they are, they mostly sing metal music, however, this particular song is not metal at all. It's a healing kind of song for those suffering loss. Sending up prayers for your comfort and belief that it's not good-bye, just, "See you later." th-cam.com/video/8SCCqC-u-9o/w-d-xo.html ❤🩹🙏
Another good song is whiskey Lalo by! By Brad Paisley
It's the words written in red. That's the deal.
You might consider "Stay" by Sugarland and "Here Comes Goodbye" by Rascal Flatts. A warning: Keep a handkerchief handy.
Would you please give your reaction to Edd Sheridan perfect
