The water pump decided to call it a life, i replaced it with a usdm 94-98 turbo water pump. I only used the front housing.Decided to replace the timing belt while i was in there as well. Everything went pretty smooth, had a big air bubble in it when i first drove it, but after some burping of the system it chilled out and i got to beat on it once again! Fitted the 2 jz water pump on my 1jz ive noticed the pulley dosent fit and the viscus fan doesnt either for any1 that wants to know..good video helped me out thanks ✌🏼

@MotionAutoTV I noticed that's the 1JZ W/P Conversion kit from the Supra Store. What's the purpose of the rear piece the 2JZ pump was attached to if you didn't even use it? I plan to do the same conversion. I have a 1991 Toyota Soarer TT 1JZ. If I switch to the USDM pulley on my 1JZ does that mean from now on the serpentine belt needed would be off the JZ? Or do both 1/2JZ use the same serpentine size belt?
do you where i could find the water pump rear housing. I bought the front part of the water pump and im trying to replace the hydro pump. Any help would be much appreciated.
Another question. My car struggles to start... fuel pressure checked, spark checked, battery checked, coils fine... could it be my timing belt is out a tooth? Before sending it for a tune, it started perfect but idle at like 500rpm... now it idles, when i do eventually get her to start up at 900/1000rpm but stalls shortly after.
Did you emote the ects? I accidentally bought a jzs171 unaware of the ects-i and was wondering if I could just disable the fly by system and install my own throttle cable?
If you have done other engine belts , how tricky is the timing compared to others , why didn't you cover that part ?

How fast is it to remove timing cover so i can get access to the tensioner? I ordered a new serpentine belt tensioner and will need to replace that soon. Ive done timing job on a 1996 mx6 so im not worried if i have to tear it all apart i just hope that its not needed to replace just the tensioner for serpentine.
I have a jzx110 1jz,....will a front half 2jzgte water pump fit? I wanna switch from a 7m clutch fan hole pattern to a 2j clutch fan pattern

Looks like in his past videos he actually owns his own shop. But if he doesn't im guessing that he has just had experience of working on cars.
I got my datsun when i was 14 and started tinkering with it. Mostly trial and error. My dads a mechanic so i already knew some stuff from helping him. TH-cam and forums helped me out a bunch.

Im wanting to go to school for a business degree and then open up my own mechanic shop :) been a dream of mine and i don't care how much money i make as long as im happy doing what i love witch is cars.P.S im putting a 1-JZ in the Datsun :)
b00st get money or befriend someone with money thhat is interested in builds, then just do an easy engine swap to start with like a sr20det in a 240sx and watch people do them on youtube, browse around forums and checkout build threads. You'll pick it up naturally. Good luck 👍

Yes! My buddy had this one laying around because his 1j non-vvti swap is not done yet, so i borrowed it from him so i could just smash it on. Im going to buy him the front replacement lol
